Chapter 159: Let’s Donate Everything

The woman turned around, trying to put on a tough expression. “Having money makes you impressive?”
“Honestly, having money does make me impressive,” Leo replied nonchalantly.
This is revenge, and it feels quite satisfying.
Leo shifted his gaze to the man.
The man couldn’t help but shiver internally. Despite being nouveau riche, he wasn’t foolish. Anyone who possessed that kind of card was definitely not someone he could afford to offend.
After hesitating for a moment, the man eventually ran out of the door.
Now, the woman was like a plucked chicken, going mad and shouting, “You useless piece of crap! Someone tells you to leave, and you actually do it! Are you even a man?”
The man slapped her across the face. “You ungrateful bitch. I’m the one supporting you with my money, and you dare curse me? Go die.”
The man, who had been with the woman for so long, had never hit her before. For the first time, the woman, with tears in her eyes, covered her cheek that had been slapped.
This sudden scene left Sophia, Karen, and the store employees bewildered.
They couldn’t fathom how the same man who had just been so arrogant had not only left voluntarily but also hit his woman.
The earlier bet had been a mere jest, baseless. Even if Leo had bought all the clothes, there was no need for them to disgrace themselves.
The man’s slap brought the woman to where she belonged. She was just a mistress. For the sake of the man’s money, she wouldn’t dare to confront him.
The woman stifled her crying and looked at the man with a pitiful gaze. “I was wrong.”
However, the man didn’t pay her any mind. He looked at Leo and asked, “Sir, are you satisfied now?”
Leo waved his hand, signaling him to get lost.
The man turned and left quickly, the woman hurrying after him.
Karen’s beautiful eyes were fixed on Leo. Judging by the man’s behavior, he was genuinely afraid of Leo.
This didn’t make sense. Leo was merely the Henley family’s freeloading son-in-law. Who would be scared of such a person?
The previous salesgirl quickly approached Leo, a smile on her face, and apologized, “Sir, I’m sorry. I didn’t recognize your status. Let me apologize here.”
Leo didn’t bother with her and turned to Sophia. “Sophia, now that you practically own everything in this store, should I call a car to take all of this away?”
Sophia felt an unreal sense of wonder. She chuckled, “I can’t possibly wear so many clothes. Maybe you should return some.”
Leo glanced at Karen and then turned to the salesgirl who had been shot. “Could you select clothes in sizes suitable for both of them and set them aside? Donate the rest of the clothes.”
Donate?
The salesgirl wondered if she misheard.
Were all wealthy people like this?
“These clothes are all brand new. It’s a pity to donate them. Leo, can you consider giving them to me?” Karen, being in the fashion business, found it a shame to donate so many clothes and couldn’t help but ask weakly.
Since the purpose was achieved, Leo couldn’t be bothered with dealing with these clothes. He nodded. “Sure, they’re yours then.”
From this moment on, in Karen’s heart, Leo was no longer a freeloading son-in-law but an angel.
Once the store employees sorted the clothes, they would be delivered, sparing Leo and the others the trouble.
Later, Leo learned that the Five-Clawed Golden Dragon Supreme Card Renee had given him could indeed be used like a credit card. It had a fixed limit of ten million dollars. After using it, he needed to call customer service to inquire about the repayment account and ensure timely payment.
After this incident, having purchased a plethora of different types of clothes, both Sophia and Karen lost interest in continuing their shopping spree. Before leaving, they went to the restroom.
Leo sat in the lounge on the first floor, waiting for them.
The main hall on the first floor hosted an event, seemingly a piano training institute’s enrollment promotion. Feeling bored, Leo decided to join in the fun.
A makeshift stage was set up in the center, featuring a grand piano.
Leo’s eyes lit up: It was a Bösendorfer Imperial piano!
If there was one artistic talent Leo possessed, it was playing the piano.
His grandmother was a music teacher who started teaching Leo how to play the piano when he was three years old.
Since starting college, Leo hadn’t touched a piano. Seeing the Bösendorfer Imperial piano in front of him, he couldn’t help but feel an itch in his hands.
At that moment, a woman in a white gown walked up to the piano. With grace, she seated herself and placed her hands gently on the keys.
As her hands moved, a beautiful piano melody filled the air.
Despite the prior noise, the elegant tune emanating from the piano quickly silenced the first-floor lounge.
All that could be heard were the melodious notes, like mischievous little elves plucking at people’s heartstrings.
The woman played a world-renowned piece titled “Ballade Pour Adelina”. The melody was enchanting, romantic, and filled with a captivating aroma of romance. It was composed by Paul, played by Richard.
Adelina hailed from a Greek myth.
Long ago, in a distant land, there was a lonely king of Cyprus named Pygmalion.
He sculpted a beautiful maiden and gazed at her every day until he inevitably fell in love with the statue.
He prayed to the gods, hoping for a miracle of love. His sincerity and dedication moved Aphrodite, the goddess of love, who granted the statue life.
From that moment, the fortunate king lived happily with the beautiful maiden, enjoying a life of bliss.
As the woman finished playing, it seemed that everyone was still caught up in the beautiful melody.
The thunderous applause erupted only when the woman politely bowed to the audience.
The host promptly took the stage, holding a microphone and loudly announced, “Ladies and gentlemen, hello. The piece ‘Ballade Pour Adelina’ that you just heard was performed by Miss Kristin Buck, the chief pianist of BoArts Piano. Let’s give Miss Buck another round of applause.”
A fervent applause resonated through the first-floor hall.
“Today marks BoArts’ first external enrollment. For those interested in learning the piano, you can register on the left side of the stage. Additionally, we’re recruiting piano instructors on the spot. If you’re interested, you can play a piece right here. As long as you receive approval from Miss Buck, you can sign a contract with BoArts on the spot.”
The host’s words ignited excitement below.
“Did you hear that? All you need to do is play a piece and get approval from that beauty, and you can sign up with BoArts on the spot!”
