Chapter 93: Photo Fakery

Book:The All-powerful Son-In-Law Published:2024-6-3

Leo quickly arrived at the location Mr. Bill had mentioned, the place of Heaven’s Extreme Stone. There indeed lay a massive stone, about five or six meters tall, covered in various climbing plants on its sides. As Leo felt around, he confirmed that the spiritual energy here was abundant, and he could even sense a hint of star power.
The Nine Heavens Star Chart allowed cultivators, once they reached high levels of practice, to harness the power of stars to improve their cultivation.
Leo grabbed a vine and climbed up the Heaven’s Extreme Stone before sitting down cross-legged. As he looked forward, the entire Langstel resembled a boat adorned with lanterns, which he hadn’t noticed before.
Leo felt a surge of pride in his heart, as if he could overlook everything from this vantage point. His eyes closed slightly, and he formed a hand seal, absorbing the surrounding spiritual power…
Back at the Henley family villa, Sophia had returned by herself. Jessica was watching TV on the couch, and Martin was examining the antique he recently acquired. When Sophia informed them that Leo went to treat the chairman of Azure Cloud Group and wouldn’t be returning tonight, they were both surprised.
Azure Cloud Group’s chairman was a significant figure, even more influential than Langstel’s most wealthy man, Harry Toby. How could Leo have the qualifications to treat him?
In fact, many people in Langstel knew that Harry was just the publicly known richest person. The true wealthiest person in Langstel was either the one at the helm of the Azure Cloud Group or the Flying Dragon Business Association.
“Sweetie, is Leo playing a prank on you? Lately, he’s been acting strange. Maybe he’s fooling around behind your back?” Jessica thought she knew eactly the what her son-in-law was.
Sophia took out her phone and showed them a photo, saying, “Take a look at this.”
Martin also leaned over to take a look. In the photo, Leo had his arm around a middle-aged man, making a victorious gesture with a cheeky smile on his face.
Jessica couldn’t believe it, asking if the middle-aged man was August Browne, the chairman of Azure Cloud Group.
“Martin, why don’t you Google it?”
Martin took the phone and searched for August Browne’s name on Google, then found his photo.
After comparing the two phones, it was indeed August Browne.
“I’ve heard that Photoshop technology can be very deceptive these days. Could this photo be fake?” Jessica still had doubts.
Sophia took her phone back, saying, “You can keep suspecting if you want. I’m going to rest now.”
Sophia climbed up to the second floor and paused in front of Leo’s bedroom subconsciously. With hesitation, she reached out and twisted the doorknob, opening the door. For the past four years, she had never stepped into Leo’s room.
The room was clean and tidy, with simple furnishings – a bed, a computer desk, a chair, a wardrobe, and a bookshelf. Sophia’s gaze fell on the bed first; the quilt was neatly folded. Then she noticed the books on the bookshelf about traditional Chinese medicine.
“It seems Leo has put a lot of effort into Chinese medicine. No wonder he’s so capable of healing.” Sophia murmured to herself.
But if she took any book from the shelf and had a look, she would find about the truth. Little did she know that these books were recent purchases solely to support Leo’s lie about suddenly acquiring medical skills. They were all new books with no notes, not even Leo’s fingerprints.
Finally, her eyes landed on Leo’s computer desk. In addition to the monitor and keyboard, there was a photo frame with her picture. Sophia remembered that the background seemed to be North Beach; it was a family trip, and she was having a great time. Surprisingly, Leo had secretly taken a picture and put it on his desk.
An indescribable feeling surged in Sophia’s heart, leaving her feeling somewhat empty. This feeling was entirely unfamiliar to her; she wouldn’t have even considered missing Leo, even if he stayed away for days or weeks. So why was today different?
“Am I getting used to Leo’s presence?” Sophia shook her head, trying to shake off the thought, and left Leo’s room, closing the door behind her.
At a hospital, in a separate ward, Eden Dunbar lay on a bed. His severed tendons in his right hand had been successfully reattached, but he wouldn’t be able to use it for a while. Standing beside him were a man and a woman.
The man was Jason Dickens, the same person who appeared when Rex was injured, and the woman wore a light blue gown, showing off her slim figure, especially her waist, which was beautifully shaped. Her most distinctive feature was her blue eyes.
Jason also had a flame tattoo on his arm, similar to Eden’s, but the color was deeper. As for the woman, her arm was covered by the long dress, and her tattoo, if any, couldn’t be seen.
“Jason, Isabel, I will kill that guy with my own hands!” Eden Dunbar’s face was filled with anger. He had never been seriously injured before, and two of his companions had been defeated by Leo. His hatred for Leo was deep.
Jason’s full name was Jason Dickens, and he said solemnly, “Anyone who dares to offend our Fiery Blaze Sect must be punished. The fact that this Leo could defeat you indicates that his strength is at least that of an Upper-Level Warrior, and he might even be at the Martial Master level.”
“Jason, his attack style is bizarre. I couldn’t even figure out his true cultivation level, and he can emit a purple light for attacking.” Eden Dunbar recalled.
“Purple light?” The woman’s elegant eyebrows furrowed.
“Eden, please tell us in detail about his attack style.” Jason was increasingly curious about Leo.
Eden Dunbar then recounted the battle with Leo on the mountain road at Clouddream Mountain in detail.
After listening to Eden’s account, Jason pondered for a moment and asked, “It sounds indeed strange. Isabel, what do you think?”
