These two things clearly didn’t look freshly washed; they seemed more like something Renee took off while showering and casually hung here. Leo suddenly felt a bit uneasy in his lower abdomen.
Stay calm, must stay calm.
Renee slowly got off the bed and realized that the injured area was only slightly sore now. She couldn’t help but marvel at Leo’s magical medical skills.
She walked towards the bathroom, intending to ask Leo to use another guest room for showering.
In the bathroom, Leo had already reached out for the black object. There was no way he could move it, or it would be inconvenient to hang his clothes.
Just then, the doorknob turned from the outside and the door opened.
“Leo, could you…?” Renee’s words were cut short when she saw her intimate clothing in Leo’s hands, and Leo was wearing only boxers.
“Ahh! Pervert!” Renee exclaimed in shock.
Kenneth Joshua had been carefully listening to the commotion upstairs. When he heard Renee’s scream, he rushed up the stairs and said, “I knew it! That guy must have taken advantage of Miss Renee!”
Renee quickly slammed the bathroom door shut, but she immediately realized that something was wrong and opened it again.
“Hand them over!” she demanded.
Leo tremblingly handed out the items, and Renee snatched them, her face flushed red.
Leo quickly closed the bathroom door and stood under the showerhead, turning on the water.
Meanwhile, the bedroom door was knocked, and Kenneth’s anxious voice came from outside, “Renee, what’s wrong? Open the door!”
Just as Kenneth was about to kick the door open, Renee opened it from the inside.
Seeing Renee’s embarrassed face, Kenneth Joshua’s gaze scanned the bedroom and asked, “Renee, did that guy do something to you? Let me take him!”
“Stop making a scene. I’m fine,” Renee said, then slammed the bedroom door shut.
Kenneth’s expression turned dark, and he knew that the guy must have done something to Renee, judging from her reaction.
August Browne and Dr. Lee also came over. August Browne knocked on the door and asked, “Renee, how are you doing?”
“Dad, I’m fine,” Renee replied.
Hearing Renee’s voice, August Browne breathed a sigh of relief. He understood his daughter’s temperament; if the guy had really done something to her, she wouldn’t have reacted this way.
Then August Browne, along with Dr. Lee, returned downstairs to continue waiting.
When Leo finished showering and came out wearing his clothes, he found Renee sitting on the sofa, staring at him intently.
Leo felt a bit tense and crossed his arms, asking, “What do you want? I didn’t do anything just now.”
Renee had calmed down from her earlier embarrassment and teased Leo, “Leo, I suspect you intended to say these words just now.”
Hey, this woman must have spent too much time on TikTok.
“But you have no evidence,” Leo retorted, stepping out of the bedroom.
In the hall downstairs, August Browne quickly stood up from the sofa and looked at Leo, asking, “Leo, how is Renee?”
“Ms. Browne’s injuries are fine now. Please get me some paper and pen, and I’ll write a prescription,” Leo said.
Ella fetched the paper and pen and handed them to Leo. He wrote a prescription and gave it to August Browne. “Follow this prescription to get the medicine. After boiling the herbs for an hour and mashing them into a paste, apply it to Ms. Browne’s wound for three days. Her injuries will heal completely without leaving scars.”
“Thank you, Leo,” August Browne said, taking the prescription. He now had an even better impression of Leo.
“Don’t thank me; add a piece of wild ginseng,” Leo said, waving his hand.
“Wild ginseng?” August Browne looked puzzled.
Dr. Lee explained, “Leo doesn’t accept consultation fees. He just wants a hundred-year-old wild ginseng.”
“A hundred-year-old wild ginseng? Mr. Bill, did you hear that?” August Browne asked the butler.
The butler nodded, “Master, I’ll get it right away.”
Seeing Leo’s calm demeanor, Kenneth Joshua became angry and said coldly, “Mr. Browne, Renee is still upstairs, and we don’t know if the bullet has been removed. Let’s go upstairs and check.”
“Hey, why are you in such a hurry like a monkey? Ms. Browne has a serious injury. The most important thing now is for her to rest. Mr. Browne can check on her later, but I suggest others not disturb her,” Leo said.
Naturally, Leo could sense Kenneth’s hostility, so he had to show him that he was not afraid to confront him.
“You’re calling me a monkey!?” Kenneth Joshua seemed ready to start a fight.
“Who’s in a rush, the one who’s a monkey,” Leo retorted.
“You!”
Kenneth stepped forward to fight, but August Browne stopped him.
Leo then tossed something towards Kenneth.
Kenneth Joshua was startled, thinking it was a hidden weapon.
But then, he heard a “ding” sound, and a bullet appeared on the floor.
“Aren’t you curious to see the bullet?” Leo asked.
Kenneth ‘s expression turned extremely sour. He couldn’t believe Leo had actually removed the bullet. There were no surgical instruments in Renee’s room, so how did he do it?
Could it be that he used his mouth to suck it out?
Impossible, impossible. This wasn’t poison; it was a bullet lodged in flesh and bone.
Seeing the bullet, August Browne’s heart finally settled down, and he praised, “Leo, your medical skills are extraordinary.”
August Browne handed the prescription to Ella and said, “Go and get the medicine.”
“Wait a moment,” Dr. Lee called out and then looked at Leo.
Leo understood his meaning and said, “Dr. Lee wants to see the prescription, right? That’s fine; go ahead.”
Ella handed the prescription to Dr. Lee.
As Dr. Lee read it, he said, “Cordyceps, snow lotus, turtle shell, the root of bidentate achyranthes… This is… Flaming Cloud Herb?”
“Leo, what kind of Chinese herb is Flaming Cloud Herb?” Dr. Lee asked curiously.
Leo was a bit taken aback by the question. “Isn’t it a Chinese medicinal herb?”
Dr. Lee shook his head with certainty.
Leo felt somewhat embarrassed because he had found this prescription from ancient Chinese medical texts in his mind. He didn’t expect that this particular herb wouldn’t exist in this era.
“If that herb doesn’t exist, you can replace it with frankincense; the effect will be similar,” Leo said.
Dr. Lee nodded, returning the prescription to Ella. “This prescription indeed has remarkable effects in healing wounds and regenerating tissues.”
When Ella was about to go and get the medicine, Leo added, “When you get the medicine, let me handle the preparation and application of the herbal paste.”
Hearing this, Kenneth’s lips twitched. He was openly finding an excuse to have intimate contact with Renee!
If he had known, he would have become a doctor too.
