As soon as Leo saw his car, his face darkened.
The windshield of his Mercedes was shattered, the side mirrors were gone, and the body was sprayed with white paint.
It was his brand new car!
Leo’s heart ached. No doubt, those jerks he met the football field this morning did it.
Suddenly, the opposite parking space lit up with blinding lights as three cars turned on their high beams simultaneously.
They shamelessly laughed, causing Leo to quickly pull Nicola to the side to avoid the dazzling lights.
When the lights went off, the car doors opened, and several people stepped out.
Carey and his gang were among them, along with a short man standing at about five feet tall, but he gave Leo a dangerous vibe.
The group approached, wielding steel pipes and knives, surrounding Leo and Nicola.
“Don’t worry, stay behind me,” Leo reassured Nicola.
Nicola wasn’t scared, just a bit nervous. She knew Leo was a tough fighter.
“Leo, you take forever to eat. We’ve been waiting here for ages. Wanna guess what fun’s waiting for you?” Carey sneered.
Leo remained calm and replied, “I’m guessing I’ll be breaking your hands and feet in a bit.”
Seeing Leo’s composed expression, Carey knew he wasn’t an ordinary guy. Most people would’ve panicked in his situation.
The short man stared intently at Leo, sensing something different about him.
“This guy’s not ordinary!” the short man concluded before stepping forward.
“Carey, let me handle this kid,” the short man said.
Carey stepped back, saying, “Rex, you can have your fun, just don’t kill him.”
“Miss Pater, go wait in your car,” Leo said, turning to Nicola.
Nicola quickly retreated to her car.
The guy Carey referred to as Rex was Rex Jordan.
Rex had quite a reputation on the streets; people knew him as a fierce and silent type.
Rex’s arms bulged, and his right forearm had a red flame tattoo. He threw a punch straight at Leo’s chest.
Rex liked targeting people’s chests, given his height limitation.
Leo sidestepped, avoiding Rex’s punch, and then kicked him in the stomach.
Direct hit!
Rex’s small body flew backward and crashed hard onto the windshield of a car behind him. The windshield shattered but held together.
“Rex!” His underlings panicked. They couldn’t believe their idol was so easily defeated.
“Don’t worry; keep calm,” Rex said, getting up from the car’s hood and wiping the blood from his mouth.
“Kid, you’ve got some strength. I like that,” Rex said with a cruel smile.
Then, suddenly, his body swelled, and his clothes burst apart, flying in all directions.
Leo was astonished. Could this guy also have spiritual power like him!?
If that were the case, the situation would be even worse.
Seeing Leo’s surprised expression, Carey smirked, “Leo, Rex is a cultivator. Today, you’ll probably have to crawl out of this parking lot.”
“Fist of Fiery Blaze!” Rex roared, stamping the ground with his right foot and lunging forward, his fist surrounded by burning flames, aimed directly at Leo.
Leo didn’t dare underestimate him and activated his spiritual power, dodging to the side.
Rex’s punch missed Leo.
“Not bad speed, but you’re still not faster than me!” Rex’s body suddenly paused, then he swung his foot toward Leo.
This time, Leo decided not to dodge and used an offensive move, extending his hand to push back.
An invisible surge of energy, like a blade, swept toward Rex’s neck.
Rex’s expression changed, and he quickly stopped his attack, dodging Leo’s energy strike with a sidestep.
A gash appeared on Rex’s face where the energy grazed him.
Rex suffered from Leo’s attack, and Carey’s mouth hung open in shock. Fortunately, he didn’t step in earlier; otherwise, his neck might have been slit.
It seemed Leo was also a cultivator.
Rex wiped the blood from his face, his eyes filled with ferocity. He was completely enraged. “Second Level Inferno Fist!”
This time, his punch emitted the sound of roaring flames.
Leo pushed back with both hands, unleashing two invisible energy blades that slashed toward Rex from both sides.
Initially, there was no escape for Rex, but he used a feint to attack Leo’s lower body.
At the critical moment, Leo had to jump to avoid Rex’s sweeping leg.
However, Rex’s move wasn’t over. He changed his technique again, using a reverse hook kick to hit Leo’s back.
Leo was sent flying and landed heavily on the ground, leaving a visible mark.
Such formidable strength! Leo felt a searing pain in his back and shoulder.
He struggled to get up, gasping for breath. Since gaining spiritual power, this was the first time he had been at such a disadvantage.
Rex stood firmly on the ground, calmly observing Leo. He knew that although he had hit Leo earlier, it hadn’t caused much damage. Winning this fight would still be challenging.
Rex may be short, but he had a sharp mind. His gaze shifted and fell upon Nicola, standing near the Porsche.
“Carey, go catch that woman,” Rex pointed at Nicola.
“Alright,” Carey rushed toward Nicola.
“You dare!” Leo panicked and ran toward Nicola.
As Carey was about to get to Nicola, Leo got there first, grabbing Carey by the neck.
Just then, Rex’s attack landed, and he struck Leo’s back with a powerful punch.
Leo spat out a mouthful of blood as he and Carey were thrown backward, crashing onto the hood of a car.
It turned out Carey was just a decoy.
“Leo!” Nicola panicked and ran toward Leo.
“Don’t come near me!” Leo shouted furiously as he struggled to get off the car’s hood.
