Seeing Page’s intense demeanor, Leo knew that she had been deeply affected by the evil spirits, and her rationality and emotions were no longer normal.
Harry furrowed his brows. It was already the 21st century, and all that feudal superstition had become cultural baggage. Why would Leo say that Momo was possessed?
Just focus on treating the illness. This supernatural stuff isn’t good.
Leo could tell from Harry’s expression what he was thinking and reassured him, “Mr. Toby, now is not the time to doubt all this. Once the rooster’s comb blood arrives, everything will become clear.”
However, Page became agitated and shouted frantically, “Harry, you actually believe his nonsense? You won’t kick him out? Well, I will!”
Page tried to move forward and attack Leo.
“What are you doing!” Harry grabbed Page’s wrist.
“Ah!” Page bit down on Harry’s hand.
Harry pushed her to the ground.
“Harry, how could you… You hit me! I don’t want to live anymore!” Page suddenly burst into tears on the ground.
“Ugh, what a mess.” Harry had a pounding headache.
More than ten minutes later, a servant walked in carrying a bowl of rooster’s comb blood.
Leo took the rooster’s comb blood, inserted a silver needle halfway into it, and then pulled it out before piercing it into Momo’s forehead.
Then, he took another silver needle, dipped it in the rooster’s comb blood, and inserted it into the center of Momo’s left palm.
The same procedure was repeated for the right palm, left sole, and right sole.
After all five silver needles were inserted, a black mist emerged from Momo’s body, gathering in mid-air.
From Harry’s position, it looked as if a black cotton candy was floating in mid-air.
This sight left Harry dumbfounded.
Leo dipped his right index finger into the rooster’s comb blood, then flicked it towards the black mist in mid-air. The black mist emitted a strange wailing sound and dissipated.
After completing this, Leo finally breathed a sigh of relief. Thankfully, the methods recorded in the ancient books were effective.
As the black aura disappeared, Page stopped crying, and the wild expression on her face eased significantly. She quickly got up and ran toward Momo, who was still lying on the bed.
Leo retrieved the silver needles and approached Harry, saying, “Mr. Toby, I have removed the evil aura from your daughter’s body. However, the root cause of the problem is still unresolved. I believe it lies within your house. I need to investigate.”
“Mr. Bloomer, thank you. Please feel free to look around the house.” After witnessing Leo’s abilities, Harry had even greater trust in him.
Leo slightly activated his spiritual power, focusing his gaze as he carefully searched the bedroom. It seemed to be the master bedroom, quite spacious, with no issues with the furniture or decorations.
Leo’s eyes then fell on the balcony. It was a large balcony with many plants and flowers. If the wind blew from outside, the fragrance of the flowers would fill the entire bedroom.
Leo raised an eyebrow and walked toward the balcony, with Harry following behind.
After scanning the balcony, Leo’s gaze finally settled on a pot of orchids. The leaves of this orchid were peculiar, with a jade-like color.
In the center of the jade-colored leaves ran a black vein.
The source of the sinister aura was this pot of orchids.
“Mr. Toby, did you plant this orchid?” Leo pointed to the orchids and asked.
Harry shook his head. “My wife planted it. She loves orchids.”
“Where did she get this?” Leo inquired further.
Harry pondered for a moment and replied, “She mentioned that one day when she returned from work, the pot of orchids was placed outside the gate. She thought someone secretly sent it as a gift, and because of its unique appearance, she kept it on the bedroom balcony.”
Leo nodded thoughtfully and asked, “Mr. Toby, have you ever offended anyone?”
“It’s hard to say,” Harry smiled bitterly. “I’m a businessman, and as they say, the business world is like a battlefield. Offending people is unavoidable, but it’s difficult to pinpoint which one specifically.”
After Harry finished speaking, Leo reached out and grabbed a leaf of the peculiar orchid, pulling it out of the pot.
“Mr. Bloomer, why…” Harry didn’t understand why Leo would destroy this cherished orchid of Page’s.
Leo held the orchid with his right hand and inserted his left hand into the pot.
“Indeed, there’s something here.” Leo presented it to Harry.
Looking at the object in Leo’s hand, which was about the size of a baby’s fist and resembled a black cobblestone, Harry suddenly felt a chilling sensation enveloping him. It felt as if his skin was being pricked with needles.
Unable to resist, Harry took two steps back, nervously asking, “What is it?”
