“Alright, well, you can think about it,” the old man replied with some surprise at Leo’s response. After giving Leo a deep look, he said meaningfully, “I’ll have someone contact you. Young man, while talented people are common everywhere, true mentors are rare. You must know how to seize opportunities. Well then, goodbye.”
The old man turned and left, leaving Sophia annoyed. “It would have been such a great opportunity for you to work at Wilde Jewelry Company. Why didn’t you accept?”
“Well, what if he’s a scammer?” Leo replied nonchalantly.
Now that Leo had special abilities, work didn’t appeal to him at all. If he needed money, he could just gamble on a couple of stones.
Sophia sighed, frustrated that if Leo had a good job, he might face less trouble at home.
“Someone has fainted!”
Suddenly, someone shouted.
Leo and Sophia turned their heads towards the source of the sound and saw the old man who had just talked to him lying motionless on the ground.
Many people on the antique street saw it happen, but no one came forward to help. There wasn’t even anyone calling for an ambulance.
In this day and age, everyone was afraid of being scammed.
Leo hurriedly ran over, checked the old man’s breath, and took his pulse. He immediately understood what the problem was.
Taking out a silver needle he had with him, Leo applied acupuncture on the old man’s Shen Ting point, Bai Hui point, Brain Window point, and Wind Pond point on his head.
After finishing the acupuncture, Leo whispered in his ear, “Sir, wake up…”
“The way this person is needling is so skilled. He must be a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner, right?”
“I think so, otherwise, how could he dare to step forward and save the old man?”
“Do you think the old man will extort him when he wakes up?”
“I don’t think so. After all, the young man was saving him.”
“Hard to say…”
The crowd started discussing in hushed voices.
Before long, the old man woke up with a smile when he saw Leo. Leo carefully removed the silver needles from his head and helped him stand up.
“I’m sorry for the trouble. My old problem suddenly flared up. I didn’t expect that besides gambling on stones, you also know acupuncture. That’s impressive,” the old man said, looking at Leo with admiration.
“Sir, I only temporarily alleviated your headache. It’s best for you to go to the hospital and get a check-up. Also, it’s better if you don’t drink alcohol in the future,” Leo suggested.
“Ah, without alcohol, it’s like taking away my life,” the old man sighed. “Thank you so much for today. And by the way, I hope you’ll seriously consider my previous suggestion.”
Compared to his own condition, the old man seemed to care more about whether Leo would work at the Wilde Jewelry Company.
“I will give it serious consideration.”
After parting ways with the old man, Leo and Sophia found a shop specializing in jade carving on the antique street and handed over the polished jadeite to the shopkeeper.
According to the shopkeeper’s suggestion, Sophia planned to have the jadeite carved into a horse as a birthday gift for her father.
After arranging to pick up the completed piece two days later at noon, Leo and Sophia left.
Originally, Leo had planned to go directly to the hospital to help Harry’s father with his treatment, but Sophia didn’t want to go, so Leo drove her to her company instead.
On the way to her company, Sophia curiously asked, “Leo, you’ve been keeping a lot hidden. Tell me, when did you learn about gambling on stones?”
“I don’t know how to gamble on stones. It was just luck,” Leo casually explained.
“You’re saying someone would come to recruit you just because you were lucky?” Sophia clearly didn’t believe him. “After being mute for three years, you make a big splash. Not only do you know traditional Chinese medicine, but you also know how to gamble on stones. How many secrets are you hiding?”
Leo’s face tightened. Some things were difficult to explain, so he pretended not to hear.
Fortunately, Sophia didn’t press the issue further.
After dropping Sophia off at her company, Leo went to the hospital.
Harry and Venus were also there. Leo gave their father a round of acupuncture and prescribed medicine before leaving.
After leaving the hospital, instead of returning to the Henley family’s mansion, Leo used his phone’s navigation to drive to a park on the outskirts.
He wanted to sense the spiritual energy between heaven and earth.
Without spiritual energy, he couldn’t practice according to the methods described in the Nine Transformations of the Stars.
If he couldn’t cultivate spiritual power, his special abilities would fade away when his spiritual power was depleted.

In an antique-style teahouse on the antique street.
“Coral, I want to solemnly recommend someone to you.” The old man who had been helped by Leo sat in a private room on the second floor, making a phone call.
A melodious, slightly coquettish voice came from the other end of the line, “Grandpa, I’ve already told you, don’t worry about my own affairs.”
“You silly girl, where do you think I’m asking you to go? I’m not asking you to go on a blind date,” the old man said with a smile.
“Oh! So you’re introducing someone to me?”
“Not introducing, recommending. I want you to hire him at Wilde Jewelry Company and assign him as a jade appraiser.”
“Grandpa, who is this person that caught your eye?”
The old man briefly recounted the incident where he met Leo on the antique street.
After listening, the girl expressed doubt, “Grandpa, that guy probably just got lucky. It’s hard to judge someone’s talent for gambling on stones based on just one attempt.”
“You silly girl, are you doubting your old grandfather’s ability to judge people?” The old man sounded displeased.
The woman on the phone hurriedly coaxed, “How could I dare doubt your discerning eye, Grandpa? Alright, tomorrow, I’ll have the HR department inform him to come for an interview at the company. I’ll personally interview him. Is that enough?”
“That’s about right. You can test his abilities. If he’s suitable, hire him. If not, find him a random position in the company. After all, the young man helped me,” the old man replied.
“He helped you?” The woman’s tone became slightly nervous. “What happened?”
“It’s a small matter. I’ll tell you about it later. Alright, I want to drink tea now. That’s all.” The old man hung up the phone.

Arriving at the park, Leo found a spot by the pond and sat cross-legged. He closed his eyes and attempted to sense the spiritual energy between heaven and earth, following the method described in the first section of the Nine Transformations of the Stars.
If he could sense spiritual energy, he could reverse the flow of spiritual power and refine and absorb the spiritual energy into his body.
The principle was complex, but it was similar to the process of photosynthesis in plants. Sunlight represented spiritual energy, and spiritual power was like the carbohydrates produced after photosynthesis.
After a while, Leo finally sensed some spiritual energy, but the amount was very small.
Well, something was better than nothing. Leo began to try refining and absorbing it.
