His hands traveled down until it reached my feet. And right there, I started giggling.
“Please, not there! ” I shrieked.
“Say it again, I can’t hear you…” Ellwood teased and massaged my feet more.
I learned against the chair and tried to pull my legs from him. But it seems like he does not have any plans to.
“Come on! It’s for your own good. Trust me…” he said and massaged me again.
I laughed too hard that my sight caught Hezekiah. His eyes were so dark, brows furrowed as his mouth turned grim.
My smile vanished when he faced the swimming pool and took off his shirt.
And my lips hanged loosely as I watched his bare back with all his grandeur. He stood up tall and straight with his glorifying body.
He then dived into the pool. My back straightened as I got off from leaning and followed him with my eyes.
“He’s gonna melt…” Ellwood said while shaking his head.
I secretly bit my lip and quickly averted my eyes. But I gave up and looked at him again.
He swam gracefully across the pool and began to do the backstroke. I followed his silhouette like I was hypnotized.
He glanced at me for a second before he did the butterfly stroke. That’s when I snapped out and leaned back.
“What is he really doing here?” Ellwood asked in a serious tone.
My eyes went to him then to Hezekiah who was still swimming.
“I don’t know…” I whispered slowly. Even if I want to tell him about Hezekiah’s plan of fixing our relationship, I chose not to. Because I know he will protest.
He sighed and stood up. I haven’t even recovered from Hezekiah, I almost stood up when Ellwood took off his shirt in front of me.
He started to unbutton his polo shirt and took off his clad jeans after. The only thing covering him was his boxer shorts.
My brows raised and shook my head while suppressing a smile.
“Wanna go swim with me?” He asked with twitched lips. He offered his hand.
I glanced at Hezekiah. He was still at the pool but now be was just leaning while his two elbows were on the floor. His eyes were hard and fixed. It’s obvious that he’s not happy at what he’s seeing.
“Come on! Let’s take a few dip before we eat those heavy pizza…” He now ordered me.
I couldn’t do anything but to nod. I was a bit shy to remove my clothes at first but it vanished when I saw his smile.
“Don’t look at me with that face…” I glared at him while placing shirt on the chair.
He laughed and then walked to me.
In a flash, my head lifted up to look at him with my tumbling heart. He slowly raised both his hands to touch my stomach to my hips.
“Stop this, will you…” My voice was soft and timid. I slightly looked down to cut our eye contact.
“Why? We’re like this before, don’t tell me you’re embarrassed that your husband might see you intimate with me?” he chuckled.
I rolled up my eyes. I know that he just wants to annoy Hezekiah. But this jerk keeps on pulling me closer to him. Until his fingers clawed on my shorts.
I moved away and took my shorts off, and now I’m wearing my red two piece. I felt the cold breeze entered my skin although it was still noon. Ellwood was just looking at me sheepishly with a smirk on his lips.
“Let’s go.” I pulled him to the pool’s stairs.
I sat on the pool and watched him swim. I can’t help but to shoot my brows upwards when I noticed he was trying to show off his freestyle.
Hezekiah was still at the side nasa, silently watching us with a dark face.
Ellwood came to me and pulled me down the pool. I screamed because of the coldness so I immediately hugged him as he took us in the deeper part of the pool.
“Look at his face… I’m afraid he’ll punch me to hell..” Ellwood whispered closely.
I looked up and glanced at Hezekiah who was already off the pool. He walked straight to the back door where ut was connected to our kitchen. After a few minutes, he came back with a towel. He chose to sit at the lounge near my chair earlier and laid down with his arms as his pillow.
At that point, I averted ny eyes when he looked at our direction.
“Should we swim back up?” I suggested.
But Ellwood didn’t let me, he pulled me to swim so I couldn’t protest anymore.
Until he positioned himself at my behind and encircled his arms around my belly. I can feel his pure kiss on my shoulders as he pulled me to the deepest part of the pool.
I had to face him to grip at him tightly. We were too close that one move and we’ll kiss.
“Please, Ell…” I stopped him even though I wasn’t even doing anything to stop him.
“Please, what?” he mumbled sweetly. He crouched down to catch my gaze.
“Don’t push it, Ellwood…” My lips said to him.
A smile appeared on his lips. He licked his lower lip slowly, as if he wanted something rebellious.
My pulse was beating fast, heart throbbing in anticipation. I was alert of Hezekiah’s actions who already got up from laying down.
I was about to remove from his hold but I felt him carry me to make my legs encircle his waist. So I needed to grab his nape strongly. And before I could make a protest, he came closer and lowered down his head to kiss me torridly.
His hands was wrapped around me so that I could barely move. The cold water turned into a warm and frenzy feeling all over my body. His kiss was so soft and hard as if he wanted me to kiss him back as he knew I would.
But it was too late for me to push him away because I heard a splash of water.
I can’t be mistaken.
It was Hezekiah…
I abruptly pushed Ellwood and glanced at Hezekiah who was coming to us. His eyes were almost black and merciless. Based on his expression, he’s planning something not good.
I was about to move away from Ellwood when he suddenly pulled me back to him.
“You fucking leave my house right now before I kill you…” his voice has fire and rage enough to hasten my fear.
“Are you threatening me?” May Ellwood said with sarcasm.
“Don’t wait for me to do something you’ll regret!” he said through clenched teeth.
I felt Ellwood loosened his grip on me. He was about to go to Hezekiah but I quickly grabbed his wrist.
“No, please Ellwood!” I stopped him.
I saw how his jaw clenched when while glaring at Hezekiah with fury.
I held his arm tightly and pulled him out of the pool.
“Damn it! He shouldn’t be here. What were you thinking that you even let that man here?! ” his voice was still angry as I brought him to a room to calm him down.
“Look, Ellwood, we’re not yet seperated and we haven’t talked about it yet . So he has the right to stay here whenever he wants to…” I bit my lip hard. Damn! Why did I explained something he could not understand?
“Are you hearing yourself, Meredith? Is that it? You’ll let him into your life again after everything that happened?!”
“It’s not what I meant. It’s not that easy, Ellwood. He’s still my husband and we can’t change that!” I said with frustration.
I want him to stop interfering with my decisions in life. I know he wants the best for me, but this is too much. These entire conversation and that kiss was fucking delusional.
“Stop being such a misery, Meredith! After what he had done to you? To your family, to your business? He dragged you to mud and made your life miserable!” he argued.
