Aphelion
Impatient, I banged the door repeatedly with my large fist, ignoring the person’s sleepy voice as I banged it again.
“Fucking answer me,” I cursed with shaky breath, swallowing hard as I was partly consumed by fear.
Yes, you heard right. The Alpha of the Dark Moon Pack was afraid.
If it were by some lousy Alpha, I would have understood, but it was by some strange woman.
A woman from my nightmare dressed in green robes with strange strawberry hair.
My breath hitched when the cold breeze swept up on my skin and I quickly turned back to look into the darkness.
I could feel her flaming emerald eyes giving me a haunting disapproving look.
And that evil grin plastered on her face… and her words that left me in shock.
My heartbeat quickened as my eyes roamed the darkness.
It was like she was here… watching me… haunting me…
And in times like this, there was only one person I needed…
“Open this fucking door!” I tried to use my Alpha voice, but it was laced with fear.
Angrily, I repeatedly hit the door with my foot, but I cursed when my foot stung with sharp pain.
Maybe I shouldn’t have made the doors of my house very strong so that I would be able to pull it down in one kick.
The door opened to reveal my seer whose drooled mouth tried to play a smile.
I pushed him aside, entered his room and shut the door.
I hope that crazy woman doesn’t sneak her way in.
“What brings you here, Alpha,” He said groggily, stretching his body to my irritation.
He hated being woken from sleep, but I don’t care.
There is fire on the mountain!
In seconds, I was lost in my thoughts, pacing the room with one thing on my mind…
The strange woman from my dreams.
Who the hell was she?
What does she mean?
What does she want?
Why won’t she leave me alone?
“I would suggest you sit, Alpha,”
“No. I’d rather stand,” I said, still pacing the room.
“What is the problem?” He asked, confused by my behaviour.
He knew my coming to him was for a solution… except I don’t seek solutions looking distressed.
“It started two days ago but I disregarded it, thinking it was one of my numerous nightmares,” I bit my trembling lips.
“Tonight’s nightmare was worse… I heard her… I saw her,”
“You saw who?” He raised his brow cockily.
“No, not that… a strange woman is appearing in my dreams,” I spilt.
Images from the nightmare kept floating in my head.
“It’s probably nothing. I suggest you go home, take some shots and have a girl ride that dick,” He tried to dismiss me while yawning, but it only angered me that I didn’t know when I grabbed him by his collar and slammed him against the wall.
Anger flashed in my eyes as I tightened my grip on his neck.
I hated it when he was the only one that wasn’t afraid of me.
“Have you ever seen me look this desperate? Huh? Now sit on that table of yours grab some tools and see something for me, now!” I ordered, using my Alpha voice that left him shaking.
Relieve filled me as I watched him do as I said.
“This woman in your dream, what is she like?” He asked, applying some powdery bullshit on his face and closing his eyes in concentration.
“Appearance?”
“Yes,”
I took a deep breath as the dream flashed in my mind again, “She is beautiful,” I spilt Unconsciously.
Beneath those evil glares and smiles, I couldn’t help but notice her curves that poked out of the green robes.
If she weren’t mean, I would have fucked her right in my dream.
“Come on, Alpha, don’t tell me you came here to describe a woman,” He groaned.
“Fine. Beneath her beauty, she reeks with power and she was mean to me and she spoke words I didn’t understand,”
“What are they?”
“She told me to release her or else she’ll make me pay for it,”
Confusion dawned on me as those words echoed in my head repeatedly.
“Is she your prisoner?”
“She isn’t,” I grumbled, “Yes, I have a prisoner, but they are two different people,”
“How did the dream go?”
“It started when I was alone, but then, I wasn’t because I was hearing whispers behind me, but when I turned to look, I saw the mysterious woman walking toward me. She came out of the mirror and warned me to release her or she’ll rain fire and brimstones,” I said, blinking severally to clear the image from my mind.
I didn’t want to remember how she frightened me.
“Did she tell you who she was?”
“She did after she almost rip my heart with her claws,”
“She said her name was Emerald,” I whispered, afraid that she might hear and come for my head.
Fear gripped me as I remembered the dream once more. As much as I tried to forget, it won’t stop going away from my memory.
Release me or I’ll make you pay with your blood, drop for drop.
Her threatening words clouded my thoughts again.
I hated that lady. I hated her pride and the power she possessed.
I hated to say it, but I feared she was stronger than me.
But how? Who was she?
I was the Alpha!
I am Emerald and no one messes with me!
My thoughts were interrupted by my seer’s scream.
My mouth hung in surprise as I watched him struggle in pain with blood dripping from his nose.
“What happened?” I rushed to him, wiping the blood with my thumb.
“There is fire on the mountain!” He struggled to speak.
How?
“That girl… she is trouble. Leave her alone. Release her this instant or else she’ll make you pay for holding her captive with your blood, drop for drop. Let her go, Aphelion. She is not what you want. She will take revenge and it won’t be good,” He coughed before spitting out blood.
“She is doing it now, she is making me pay,” He said, coughing loudly.
“Who is she?” I demanded.
I wanted to know who was behind all this.
“Emerald is her wolf name and Esmeralda is her name,”
My face darkened with rage as it dawned on me.
That stupid bitch in my bedroom was behind all these.
She’ll regret it.
“Please, Alpha, don’t do what is in your mind. It’s even more dangerous,” He warned but I didn’t hear of it.
She was going to pay with her blood, drop for drop.
I’ll make her regret the day she and her witch friend stepped their filthy legs on my pack.
I’ll suck the life from her and her wolf till they give up the ghost together with her Arcade.
Then the Blood Moon Pack would be mine forever!
