“Oh Janet,” Michelle said as she sipped her beer. “I’m so happy. Lucius is finally going to be mine again.”
They were out in a pub not far away from the pack house. Janet smiled and placed her wine glass on the table.
“That girl is so stupid,” Janet said. “I can’t believe she actually thought you could be her friend. Like, has she seen you?”
Michelle chuckled. “I even feel offended that she thought I could lower myself to be friends with a rogue. I think being in our pack had started confusing her. She thought she was one of us. Now I have her where I want.”
“Lower your voice. You never who’s listening in.”
“I don’t care as long as no one has proof that I did anything,” Michelle said. “Come, let’s hit the dance floor. I’m in such a good mood.”
Janet allowed herself be led by Michelle and they went to the dancefloor. They danced together to the slow song. A few minutes later, a man made his way towards them.
“May I have this dance?” he asked, looking at the beautiful luna.”
Michelle’s lips parted when she saw him. It was Jenezel’s husband. She looked around and so no one significant. As a luna, she was not supposed to dance with any man anyhow. If she did, she had to maintain a safe distance. Michelle hated that the rules did not apply to the alpha.
“Of course,” Michelle said happily, leaving her friend confused. She had not told Janet about what she had done with the man because she was afraid of Jenezel. If that woman got to know what happened, she would kill her.
Janet went back to sit while Michelle and Jenezel’s husband danced together. Michelle was not relaxed the whole time and kept looking around expecting Jenezel to pop out of the shadows.
“You look very beautiful, tonight.”
Michelle looked around and was satisfied when she saw that everyone seemed to be minding their businesses. Janet was the only person looking at them.
“Thank you,” Michelle said. “I don’t think we should be doing this.”
“Doing what? I don’t see what’s wrong with me dancing with a beautiful woman in a room full of people.”
Michele smiled and continued to dance, trying to avoid as much contact with him as possible. She could feel her core tingling at the thought of having the man again. Suddenly, Janet came to where they were. She held Michelle’s phone up.
“Can’t you-
“You need to take this,” her friend interrupted.
“Will you please excuse me,” Michelle said, taking the phone from her friend. “I have to take this.”
“Feel free,” the man said, then turned to Janet. “Join me.”
Janet shook her head. “No thanks. I do not wish to be on your wife’s bad side. I’ve seen what she’s capable of.”
“Fair enough.”
Michelle went out of the bar and received the call.
“What? I’m going to return tomorrow.”
“Come here right now,” Axel said.
“You’re no boss of me.”
“If you don’t come here right now, I’ll destroy you.”
“What happened anyway?”
“Just get here now.”
Michelle shook her head and went inside to inform her friend that she was leaving.
“Can I come with you?”
“No.”
“By the way, what was that? You and Mr. Miller.”
“What?” Michelle said. “Don’t read too much into nothing.”
“Fine.”
As soon as Michelle reached the house, she felt something was wrong. The man who opened the door had a bruised face and he seemed to be in a lot of pain. The older man who was lying on the couch was unconscious but there was blood everywhere on him.
“What the hell happened here?” she asked.
“Alpha Axel is waiting for you upstairs,” the young man told her.
“Did he do this to you?”
“It’s better you go and talk to him.”
“If he’s in such a bad mood, I don’t want to be around him.”
“MICHELLE!”
The woman shuddered when she heard her name called out in such a rough way. She issued the young man a glance and took the stairs. When she reached the landing, she stood there for a while, scared of what lay behind the walls.
“Michelle!”
Michelle sighed and started heading towards the door of the master bedroom. She raised her hand and grabbed the handle before turning it.
Michelle cautiously stepped in. she was relieved when she saw that Axel looked well and there was no blood in the room. He was sitting on the bed. He stood up when he saw her. She began shaking and almost ran out when he started moving towards her. Taking a deep breath, she waited. Axel stopped a few metres away from her.
“What happened?” she asked, frowning.
“That crazy woman happened.”
“Emma?”
“Who else do you think I talking about?”
“Did you kill her?” Michelle asked. She remembered the condition of the men downstairs and wondered if Axel had gone crazy and tried to kill everyone around him.
“Kill her? I wish I had done it when I could. I can’t believe that bitch managed to get away from me. I fvcking hate her.”
“How did she escape?” Michelle asked, anger boiling inside her. She raised her right hand and pushed stray hairs from her face. “What the hell did you do? How could you let her escape?”
“Those two idiots couldn’t even bring her back. What a useless pair.”
“Who let her out? I’m going to kill him.”
“As if I’d let you do that.”
“It was you? You let Emma out? What the hell is wrong with you, Axel? How could that little girl escape from a man like you?” Michelle paced around the room. She wanted to go and strangle Axel for what he had done. She couldn’t believe that her hard work had been in vain. “After everything I went through to get her here. I can’t believe this nonsense.”
“Watch your words,” Axel said. “You have no idea what she did to me.”
“What is it?”
Axel pulled down the shorts he was wearing and touched his swollen penis. “That psycho bit me.”
Michelle was shocked, not by what Emma had done but how impressive his d! ck looked, despite being soft and flaccid. There was a bit of a swelling but it was not that bad. She felt something stirring in her.
“Oh, that’s terrible.”
“Is that all you have to say?” Axel barked at her.
Michelle moved closer and placed her finger on Axel’s chest. “I’m sorry about that, but I can make it feel better,” she smiled at him.
His hard look immediately softened. Mission accomplished, Michelle thought. She smiled, thinking of her ability to handle men.
