“So,” she said after a while. “Am I allowed to go?”
“Where are you going?” he asked after dressing up.
“To venom pack, up north.”
“That’s a bit far,” he commented.
“Yes, that’s why I chose to run there.”
“I don’t think you’ll reach there faster. Why don’t we go to the shed and you put on some clothes then I drive you to wherever you want to go.”
“You’d do that for me?”
He nodded. “Not for you. For me. I still need more time with you.”
“You don’t understand. I have to return to my pack before nightfall. I’m under punishment and I have to be at work by morning”
“We’ll find ways for you to give me enough pleasure in the time we have,” he said.
“Okay, but why are you helping me?”
“Why not?”
“You’re a vampire.”
“And?”
“Your kind can’t stop terrorising us.”
“Not all vampires are the same, I guess.”
“Clearly.”
“Alright, let’s go.”
They went to the shed and she was given some stinky workmen clothes. Since it was all they had, she had no choice but to accept. When they got to the nearest town, they went into the small boutique and they picked up a pair of dresses for her. The man who turned out to be called Nicholas followed her to the dressing room and they had sex again. After putting on a blue bodycon dress, Michelle went to a restroom and washed up before joining Nicholas. She threw the workman’s clothes into the trash and walked to his car. Soon, they were cruising down the highway chatting animatedly. Michelle was beginning to like the man more and more. Five hours later, they had arrived at the city near Axel’s pack.
“Are you sure you want to meet this guy?” Nicholas asked.
She had told him about Axel and what kind of person he was but had not told him the whole truth about why she was going there. She just told him she wanted to propose a partnership that would benefit both. She didn’t know how much badness Nicholas was willing to tolerate since he seemed to be a good guy. If she told him that what she was proposing could lead to Emma’s death, there was a possibility that he would stop her from going where she wanted.
“Yes, I have to. He may be bad but this deal will be good for our pack.”
Michelle had not told him that she was a luna. Instead she told him that she was the alpha’s sister and occasionally helped him with the administration of the pack.

AXEL
Axel was having a celebration at the pack house that day. Although getting out of prison had not been very hard, it had taken a long time. He had stayed in the same prison with common criminals and that had annoyed him more than anything. He had been removed from the luxury he had worked so hard for. A whole alpha like him had been restricted and put behind bars. Even as he drank beer, surrounded by his noble and rich friends, he couldn’t help but think of what he had passed through. The more he thought about the situation, the more his anger grew. There were two people he wanted to destroy most. Emma Greefield and Lucius Bradford were going to pay dearly for what they did.
Axel had been out for a few days and he was still struggling to come up with the perfect plan. He had been warned by his friends not to go for a direct attack without a genuine reason. It would be hard for them to help him get out of trouble if he did that. He had to find a way of destroying Summit pack and its leader without it being traced back to him. Axel grabbed another glass and downed it. It was afternoon but he didn’t care if he got drunk.
He looked up and saw Tim, his new beta heading his way. Tim looked like he had something to say so Axel placed his glass on the table and leaned back on the comfortable chair.
“What is it, Timmy?”
“I have good news. You’ll never believe who is here to see you.”
“Let me guess, Emma Greenfield?”
Tim shook his head. “Not that good. It’s Luna Michelle.”
“Who the hell is that?”
“Lucius Bradford’s wife.”
Axel shot up from his chair. “Are you playing me, man? I may be a little bit tipsy but I’ll beat you.”
“I’m serious. She is here to propose a partnership with you. Apparently, Lucius treats her badly and she wants revenge.”
“What if she is a spy?”
“She says Lucius is in love with Emma and she isn’t happy about that.”
“I want to believe her but that Lucius is not an easy. We have to be really careful. What if he sent his wife to trick me?”
“We’ll never find out unless you talk to her. Should I have her brought in?”
“Take her to my office. I’ll go up and freshen up. Will be down in a while.”
Axel hurried towards the elevator, feeling excited. A woman latched on to his arm but he pushed her away. He had lost interest in the debauchery going on in his house. He had more serious issues to attend to. Some beer had poured on his shirt so he took it off and replaced it with a clean one. He ran a comb through his hair and moustache. He had never kept a moustache before but he had grown to like it while in prison. Since he had not been able to shave regularly, he had let his beard and hair grow wild. With time, he had fallen in love with the wild look and decided to keep it for a while.
When he was done, he went down and walked towards the office, ignoring the partygoers. On opening the door, he saw a very beautiful woman seated on the chair opposite his desk. Her dress was quite short and he could see her smooth long legs. He felt something stir within him. Whether it was a trick or not, he knew that he couldn’t let the woman go without having some fun with her. The seductive smile on her face gave him hope.
