Cilla.
There are very few experiences more powerful and intense than make up s*x. it is amazing. It allows you to release pent up emotions and physical tension. It is the best thing a couple needs after a fight because it allows them release the built up anger, disappointment or frustration. The heightened emotions really add to the intensity of the experience.
After our morning session, I felt reconnected to my husband again.
“We need to get ready for the ceremony,” Ridian said, getting off the bed. I smiled as I watched him walk to the bathroom, stark naked. “Take a picture, it might last longer.”
I chuckled as I sat up. Placing my legs on the floor, I stood up. I bent down and retrieved my dress before putting it on. I could hear the rush of water from the shower. I was feeling euphoric and happy. Before this morning, I had been very nervous about the coronation ceremony. Not being able to talk to my husband about it had made things worse.
Our love making session had changed things and I was feeling more energized. I smiled as I sat at the vanity and observed my face. A few pimples had cropped up near my forehead which I attributed to stress.
When the bathroom door opened, I stood up and walked towards it. Ridian was standing there watching me with a sweet smile on his face. I went and kissed him, happy to be in good terms again. The silent treatment had nearly driven me crazy. In fact, I had started thinking of going to sleep in the guest room if it continued.
Next time if we had a fight, I did not want it to be like this one. I preferred us to yell at each other and work out things immediately, instead of having a cold war. We didn’t talk much when he returned because he had to go out and ensure that the preparations for the ceremony would go well.
When he was gone, I showered and called my maid Sarah to help me with the preparations. Sarah was good at almost everything. She did my makeup flawlessly after I had eaten the delicious food she and Dena had prepared. I had asked Ridian to move Cara to another department after we got married because I didn’t want my best friend to work for me. Cara was now heading the kitchen department which was a promotion for her.
When time came, we went to the clearing that was in the woods, outside the pack house fence but still in the pack’s territory. The pack had already gathered there.
The sun was high up in the sky, casting a bright glow on the clearing where the members of the Blackmoon pack had gathered. Tents had been erected at the clearing to shield us from the scorching rays of the sun. Since all the pack members were required to participate, the crowd was fairly big. I had not expected the members to be so many. Ridian and I stood at the front of the crowd. Ridian was wearing regal attire with a crown resting on his head.
When he stepped forward, the crowd went silent. He glanced at me, and beckoned me to step closer. I took a few steps towards him. He smiled and stepped back, leaving me alone. I lifted my arms and the pack began to howl in unison. Closing my eyes, I joined them by letting out a loud, fierce howl.
When I stopped, the pack stopped as well. Jamila stepped forward and handed me an object, a white moonstone. When I touched it, it changed color, becoming bright blue. She beckoned me to the altar that had been set up. I moved towards it, feeling the weight of the heavy dress I was wearing. I knelt before the altar and the pack began to chant.
The sound was beautiful. It was powerful and organised, filling the entire place with supernatural energy. As it grew louder, I began to feel my eyes getting hotter, and emitting a bright golden glow. As I stood up, my eyes began to change colour. i could see the change because the glow was reflecting on my white dress.
I lifted my arms over the altar, and everyone become silent. Ridian started to move closer to me. He reached out and grabbed my hand.
“You’re officially the luna of the Blackmoon pack,” Jamilla said and the pack clapped their hands. Jamila mixed two substances from different jars. She handed me a bowl of the mixture.
“Drink,” she said.
I did as told. As the liquid flowed through my body, I started to feel differently. When the liquid was done, Jamilla took back the bowl. She dipped a broom in some liquid in a bucket and splashed it at us. She handed Ridian a crown and he turned to place it on my head while I smiled uncontrollably. Immediately, the pack cheered.
I glanced at Ridian, and he smiled at me. Smiling, I turned to glance at my pack. For the first time, I felt a real sense of belonging, and I was determined to lead my pack to glory. I wanted to lead them with strength and courage.
Ridian held my hand and we stepped away from the altar. He let it go and faced the pack with authority and dominance. He stood in front of them like a real alpha. Everyone bowed for him before standing straight again.
“I’m very happy today, because our luna has been officially crowned,” he said. “Cilla has been a blessing for me and this pack. She came into this pack as a slave, but the moon goddess had something better in store for her and all of us. It has been my greatest pleasure to watch her grow and become stronger. Her love for this pack has grown exponentially over the weeks and I believe she is going to be a great leader for all of us.”
The crowd gave a round of applause. “Not only us, but also our slaves and the pack have we recently conquered. I captured the Moonshine pack as a gift for my wife, and today I hand her the power over it.”
My jaw clenched when I heard the last part of Ridian’s speech. How dare he? I thought he had understood that I wanted nothing to do with that pack.
“With all due respect, I reject the gift.” I said before I could stop myself. I regretted the moment the words came out. I stood up. “I’m so…” the words died in my mouth when I saw Ridian walking away, followed by his beta.
Everyone looked at me like I was an evil witch.
“I’m sorry, everyone. I didn’t mean to say that to our alpha.” I said, trying to save the situation. Judging from the faces staring at me, this was not helping.
