The next morning, with Archie’s permission, Emma took the car keys and sat in a silver sports car.
She started the engine and the sports car passed through the main door and headed towards the city along the manor’s main road.
Emma still decided to make a trip back to the Sandford Family. Because too many things had happened during this period of time, the Sandford Family must be exhausted and immersed in sorrow.
When the sports car stopped outside the gate of the Sandford Family, Emma walked over and pressed the doorbell. She was holding some gifts for her grandmother.
The door opened. It was Minlan!
In a short period of time, she was so thin that she did not look like she used to be rich. Her face was pale and her hair was also a little messy. When she saw Emma, she was also stunned.
“Mom. . . ” Emma softly called out to her. She did not know why but when she saw Minlan looking haggard and thin, her nose also felt a little sore.
“She’s back! Come in and take a seat!” Minlan forced a smile. Then she saw the gift box in her hand and scolded in a low voice, “What else do you want to buy at home?”
Emma replied in a low voice, “I didn’t buy anything. I just bought some tonics for grandma!”
“Your grandma is upstairs. She hasn’t been in good health recently, so she didn’t come down much. Go up and take a look at her.” Minlan took the things for her.
“Okay!” Emma’s tone became tense and then hesitantly opened her mouth to speak. “Mom, you have lost a lot of weight recently because. . . ”
“Your sister is locked up in prison. I feel uncomfortable in my heart and it is normal for me to lose weight.” Minlan sighed and said. In her tone, she did not blame her.
As a mother, Minlan could be considered to have done it fairly. She did not favor anyone and blamed them for no reason.
Emma also did not feel good in her heart. Luisa’s actions should be borne by herself but in the end, what implicated her was loving her and caring for her family.
“I will go upstairs first!” Emma did not say anything else and went upstairs.
She ran to her grandmother’s room in one breath. She could hear her grandmother’s cough from the other side of the door.
Emma only felt her heart tighten as she raised her hand to knock on the door.
The one who opened the door was the maid who often served her grandmother. When she saw her, she could only politely call her Second Miss.
“Is Emma here?”
An old and weak voice was heard.
“It’s me! Grandma!” Emma quickly pushed the door open and entered. She saw her grandmother lying on the bed with a pale face.
“Emma, my good granddaughter! You finally came to visit grandma!” Madame Sandford’s face finally revealed a smile.
Emma blamed herself and went forward to hold her hand, “Grandma. It took me so long to come and see you. Are you sick?”
“No, Grandma isn’t sick. She’s just a little tired! I want to lie down for a while.” The old lady pretended to be energetic and said with a smile.
Emma looked at her grandmother’s thin fingers and tears fell down with a bang.
“Grandma, don’t lie to me. Look, you have lost weight.”
The old lady’s eyes were also filled with sourness and she sighed, “Your sister had such a thing. I am both sad and uncomfortable.”
Emma was also very sad and inevitably felt some resentment towards Luisa in her heart.
“Grandmother, you better not think too much. The crimes she committed should be borne by herself.” Emma comforted.
The old lady looked at her and also sighed, “Fortunately, you are not in trouble. Otherwise, your sister’s sins would really be serious.”
“Grandma, let’s not talk about these unhappy things anymore. I’ll push you to the garden downstairs for a walk.” Emma suppressed her sadness and squeezed out a smile.
“Okay!” The old lady also happily agreed.
Emma took the wheelchair and helped her grandmother sit on it. She pushed her and walked towards the elevator entrance.
Downstairs, Minlan sat on the sofa and when she saw the two of them come down, she immediately stood up and said, “Emma, come and have a cup of tea. I just made a pot of tea.”
The old lady said. “Go and have a cup of tea.”
Emma immediately pushed her to the side of the sofa. She sat down and picked up the teacup.
“Emma, have you been living in Grafton Family recently?” Minlan asked in a low voice.
Emma did not hide it and nodded, “Yes!”
“With this kind of thing happening to your sister, it is impossible for her to have any more results with Archie. You should stay with Archie well. Between the two of you, at least one person should be happier.” The old lady also picked up the cup of tea and drank it as she spoke.
Emma looked at her grandmother gratefully.
Minlan’s expression stiffened but she did not say anything.
The old lady looked at Minlan and said, “You should also state your stance. At this stage of the matter, we can’t be so unclear.”
Minlan smiled bitterly, “Mom, what kind of attitude do you want me to have? Both of them are my daughters. If I really want to say something, I have no objections to Emma and Archie being together. After all, we owe her too much.”
Emma’s expression was also filled with grief.
The old lady nodded. “It’s good that you can think like this. There have been so many things happening in Sandford Family during this period of time. Don’t cause any more trouble.”
Emma said excitedly, “Thank you, grandma and mom, for your support and recognition. I don’t have that much pressure anymore.”
After accompanying her grandma for two rounds in the garden, Emma decided to leave.
“Emma, aren’t you going to have lunch at home before leaving?” Minlan sincerely hoped that she could stay for a meal.
Emma was in a hurry to do an examination and could only shake her head. “No need. I still have some things to do. Next time.”
“Alright then. Drive carefully on the road!” Minlan could only give up.
Emma said goodbye to the two of them and drove. She headed toward a private hospital in the city.
This hospital was very famous in the entire city. It was specially used to treat women and children. It was said that it was very authoritative.
Emma found a place to park her car in the parking lot and pushed open the door to get down.
She walked towards the hospital’s lobby with hurried steps.
Because she was in a hurry, she did not look around. Naturally, she did not see that there were two people sitting in a big red sports car.
“Sya, look, does that person look like Emma?” The driver’s assistant immediately cried out in surprise.
Tasya, who was sitting at the side with her head down and playing with her phone, only then did she look up.

“This is a maternity hospital. Could she be here for a check-up?”

Tasya quickly took her hat and put on her sunglasses and mask before pushing the door.
