Aleena’s POV

While her words kept ringing in my mind, ‘if you act like whore then the next morning, you will find yourself at the brothel.’
I shivered in fear of hearing her threat. I didn’t know that whatever words I used to threaten the other females when I used to torture them would repeat on me by my own wolf.
I wondered why her name was Leia? Her name should be Karma because Karma is bitch.
“Aleena, answer him something, Princess. He’s waiting.”, Dad said, shaking my body a little.
“Sorry, dad. I was taking my wolf’s suggestion on this decision.”, I explained and then looked at the Beta “…. and she said YES.”, I added with a small smile. Fake smile, of course!! “But we need time, and we don’t want to get marked tonight.”
“No issues we that. Instead of marking each other, we can get married.”, he suggested quickly.
Desperate much, huh?
“This is the second-best news that you have given to me.”, he said with a big grin.
“Second?” I repeated in confusion. “What is the first best news?” I couldn’t help myself from that question because I didn’t remember announcing any good news previously, and not to forget, if he had been right mind, then there was no way he would have considered it as GOOD NEWS at all.
“First, the good news is on the way. Maybe you will give that news after a month about our little one.”, he said shamelessly in front of everyone, widening my eyes. And everyone laughed at his words.
Who would have thought that he could say something like that?
Immediately a blurred memory of a pregnant lady came in front of me, and a little was happily running around that lady.
“Shall we?”, The memory quickly vanished like it was never there at all till a moment before when Stephen forwarded his hand toward me. I reluctantly placed my hand on his, and he grabbed my hand tightly as if he was promising himself that he wouldn’t let it go at any cost.
Only if he knew.
He started walking toward the stage, holding my hand. I couldn’t help but recall the moment he had dragged me into this field toward the cell as a criminal. Then this was the place he had apologized to me, and now he was going to marry me at the same place. I looked around to see the expression of the people around, and they had mixed expressions on their faces, where a few of them were happy that finally, their Beta had chosen a mate for himself, while others had held a grudge for insulting their Beta that day. And Ryan and Daniel were in the category of the second one.

“I know you’re too hurry to marry your chosen mate, Brother. But you need a wedding ring for that.”, Daniel teased more like said sarcastically. Immediately, Eva hit him with her elbow.
“Actually, I have a ring for them.”, Chloe said and looked at Emma, on which she smiled and left from there. “When everyone went for the shopping to get rings for you both. I liked a pair of rings and brought them for Stephen and would be his chosen mate.”
Does she really do that?
“Really? Where did you know that Stephen was planning all this?” Daniel asked in surprise.
“No. I had never thought that those rings were going to be used this soon. This was really unexpected.”
“Then how did you purchase it without knowing Aleena’s fingers’ size?”
“I didn’t mention that that will be of Aleena’s finger size. I just loved the design and took the size which they had. I’m not sure it will fit her, but the jeweler said that he could adjust the size accordingly when my son finds the right finger for the ring.”, She gushed, looking at me.
By that time, Emma was returned from wherever she had gone a moment before. “Here is it.”, She said, showing a pair of beautiful platinum rings.
It was a plain ring in which ‘Stephen’ was written on the ring which I had to wear and ‘U ‘heart’ Me’ was engraved on the ring which was for the Beta.
Soon, the ceremony started on which. I didn’t give much attention to what the marriage officer was speaking about because I was busy thinking about how my life had changed all of a sudden.
“Do you accept Aleena Williams, daughter of Alpha Francis Williams of Sliver moon pack, as your chosen mate?”
“I do.”
If I could reject my fated mate, then I could easily reject my chosen mate, right? As long as we could mark each other, this bond would get stronger like the bond of a fated mate. In human terminology, it was like an engagement that could be called off.
“Do you accept Stephen Sam Grint, Beta of Stoon moon pack, as your chosen mate?”
“I do.”
Immediately I felt a wave of spark run throughout my body, and my body tingled at the touch of the Beta, especially in my hands, which he had held into his.

We repeated again, but this time they accepted each other as husband and wife. Everything was frustrating for me. All I wanted was to end everything as soon as possible until I heard, ‘Now you can kiss your mate as well as wife.’
What the hell!!
I didn’t see this coming. Nope, he was not allowed to kiss me. Should I say that loud? But if I did, then that would be like an insult to him in front of everyone. And I doubt that Daniel would let that happen again. Also, it was not that he was marrying me forcefully.
I grabbed my gown tightly when he leaned down to kiss me. He lightly touched his lips against mine at first and then softly kissed me just for a few seconds before breaking the kiss. This was not a passionate or hungry or intense kiss but was a gentle kiss without the involvement of the tongue or fighting for domination.
‘I lost my first kiss to this beta, Just to deceive him.’, I thought grumbly.
What?
‘Just because I’m evil doesn’t mean I’m someone who keeps kissing everyone.’
A part of me had saved every first of Daniel since a very young age. Later on, Mom suggested I get to experience all these things because Men generally love experienced women. But by that time, I already had started sharing my body with Leia, and she was damn too restricted in all these things.
After this, the Oath ceremony started, where the title of Beta Female was given to me and added as a member of this pack, because of which my bond with my previous pack was broken, which also meant that now I had to be totally dependent on my damn phone to talk with my mother.
I never believed in the idea of talking to anyone over the phone because it could be tracked, and history could be checked. With everything that was happening around me, I made a mental note about NEVER, NEVER discussing any of my plans with mom over the phone and would share the same with Mom.
I repeat again that ‘JUST THE TITLE OF BETA FEMALE was given to me, not the powers and authority, not until I would get marked and mated with the Beta of the pack.
After all this, both the pairs got themselves busy thanking the guest and all the tiny little functions that followed after that.
“Are you getting bored?”, The Beta asked. Maybe he would have seen me making faces.
“Yeah! I want to leave from here.”, I responded, getting irritated.
“Sure! Even I was waiting for the moment when I can have you all my own.”, he said in a husky tone. Now, I started regretting leaving this place with him.
“What is going in your mind?” I asked him, eyeing him suspiciously.
“Something.”
“And what is that something?”
“It’s a small surprise for you. So, I can’t tell you about it.”, he said, and instead of taking me toward the packhouse, he took me toward the garage where the cars were parked.
“You won’t tell your mate about it? Who is also your wife now?” I asked, on which he signaled me to sit inside the car, bowing his head like a gentleman.
“How can I tell you about it when I myself have no idea about it? It’s a surprise from Daniel and Eva for both of us. Now, come on, Lina.”
“What did you say?” I asked, walking toward the co-pilot seat.
“Lina. Do you like it?” he asked after closing the door and jogged a little to grab a seat on the pilot.
“I…I don’t know. I have never got a nickname before.”, I responded, thinking about all the people in my small life. Either they used to call me with some endearment or by my name. This Beta was the first to give me a nickname to me.
“I’m sorry for the previous time.”, he apologized again. “I shouldn’t have driven that recklessly and shouldn’t have made you cry.”
I loved to make someone apologize to me against their wish and make him or her feel humiliated. But when he was doing this on his own, I hated this. I hated it from the bottom of my heart, even though I was winning in some way. But what was the use of making someone apologize when he wasn’t in the right mind?
It was making me feel a LOSER.
“Apologies for one more time, and I will throw you out of the car.”, I threatened, narrowing my eyes.
“I know this is not but an empty threat.”, he laughed. “But I won’t apologize if you don’t want me to.”
“Much better.”, I muttered and started looking out of the car. The car was pulled over in front of a five-star hotel. I gulped my saliva nervously, knowing what was coming next.
Before I could have opened the door for myself, it was opened by the Beta. He forwarded his hand toward me. I grabbed it to hop out of the car, and then pulling me near me, he threw the keys of the car to the hotel valet driver and guided me the way.
“I think we should slow down the process.”, I muttered when we entered the elevator.
“What do you think we are going to do, Lina?” he asked, pulling me into his arms.
Why the hell I didn’t think about all these things before saying YES?
That was because of Mom. She kept disturbing me so much that I didn’t think about this romance part. Now, I had no idea how long I was going to survive this?
He was a beta by post, but he had Alpha’s blood in his vein. Generally, Alpha wolves had a thin line of patience when it came to getting coming closer to their mate. And he didn’t have a mate was not helping my situation at all.
“The same thing that generally couples do on their wedding night.”, I mumbled, feeling nervous. “But I don’t want that to happen between us this soon.”, I said directly, without beating the bush.
“Don’t worry. I’m ready to give you as much time as you want.”, he said, caressing my cheek with his fingers. I sighed in relief when I heard him, but my relief didn’t last long when he said, “That’s a different story that you will soon need my wolf and me when you will be in your heat.”
