This sentence echoed in Derek’s ears and mind.
Five years ago in a midsummer, the girl, facing the sea, kept asking, “Do you love me?”
Derek was stunned and stiffened.
Serina stared at Derek back dazed.
She heard her heartbeat.
It was strong as if something hit the ground. Every strike was forceful.
She did not know if she was waiting for his reply.
Would he respond?
When Serina was hesitating, Derek opened the door and walked out.
Serina shed tears.
What did it mean if Derek didn’t say anything?
After Serina tidied up her clothes, Hayden knocked on the door. He arranged a car to send her back to the Grand Apartment.
Serina sat in front of her computer writing novels the whole day and didn’t go out. She only had a cup of noodles at noon.
She didn’t feel hungry, because she was in a bad mood.
Serina checked her debit card. She received payment from the novel website. Her novel was on sale and it was well sold. In the end, she received 250 thousand in one month, including her copyright royalties.
When checking the amount on her debit card, Serina was indifferent.
As soon as she logged on QQ, she saw Nora’s profile picture flashing. Serina clicked it.
“Your Majesty! You’ve earned 250 thousand in a month. Are you going to buy us a meal?

“I can’t chat anymore. I’m writing the novel. Readers keep asking me to update.”
“Fuck! How diligent you are now. Something goes wrong with you!”
“No.”
“Okay. Your Majesty, calm down and go back to write your novel. I’m counting on you to get me rich. I won’t bother you anymore.”
Nora did not say anything else.
Serina opened a bag of potato chips and ate.
After finishing the chat with Nora, Serina’s phone rang. Serina glanced at the screen. It was a call from Ernest.
She hung up the call directly.
She was in a bad mood and didn’t want to talk to anyone!
Ernest called her again. Serina turned off her phone.
Soon, Ernest’s profile picture was flashing.
“Why did you hang up my call?” Ernest sent several furious emojis.
“I don’t want to talk to you!”
“Who made you unhappy, darling!”
It was Great Demon King, Ernest’s uncle!
“What do you want?” Serina would not tell Ernest that she went to see Derek.
“I would like to see you later. I learned that my uncle has a meeting this evening and will come home very late. I’ll double-check before I go to see you.”
“Ernie, are you afraid that someone will see you? People are talking about us now.”
“Don’t worry. My uncle will take care of the news in a couple of days. You are in a bad mood, I will go over and spend some time with you.”
Serina rolled her eyes, “Okay. Bring your equipment along. Let’s play games.”
“Got it!”
Serina was in a bad mood. It was a good idea to play games to vent.
Twenty minutes later, someone knocked on the door.
“Fuck! You forget your key again!”
Serina wanted to teach Ernest a lesson!
She walked to the door and opened it. She couldn’t keep him knocking any longer. Otherwise, they would be in trouble if someone saw him!

Derek stood at the door, dressed in a well-ironed suit. It seemed that he just walked out of a meeting room.
“Why are you here?”
“Who else do you expect?” Derek asked as he walked in.
Serina glanced at him. Derek ignored her during the day, why did he come over at night?
She slammed the door, “I thought it was Ernest. We have an appointment.”
“What would you do?” Derek stared at Serina with a cold look, making Serina terrifying.
“We are going to…” Serina deliberately stopped licked her lips, “Why should I tell you?”
Derek reached out his arms and held Serina.
Serina clung to Derek tightly, feeling as if her waist was about to be broken!
“What will you guys do in your room at midnight?”
“It’s none of your business!” Serina was ferocious, and her waist was in pain. She tried to remove Derek’s hand from her waist but failed.
“You have the last chance to tell me! Spit it out!”
“No.”
Before Serina spoke more, Derek kissed her aggressively!
Serina couldn’t speak.
Derek kissed her passionately and domineeringly.
He started to undress Serina.
Derek removed his lips from Serina’s lips and started to kiss somewhere else.
Serina shouted, “Is there anything else you can do with me, except making out?”
Derek stopped and looked at Serina’s face.
Serina wept, her tears rolling down.
“What am I, Derek? Tell me.”
Serina’s eyes were cold and desperate.
When she told him that she loved him with courage during the day, she was full of hope.
However, Derek was a man who either gave people hope or despair.
“You are not allowed to touch me whenever you want, just because I love you!” Serina turned her head to the side, and tears rolled down again.
Derek raised his hand and placed his palm on Serina’s face. He gently wiped away her tears with his thumb.
“Why are you crying?”
“If you just want to make out, I’m afraid that I will let you down,” Serina said and pushed Derek’s hand away.
“You promised that I can do it whenever I want.”

He was a scoundrel!
Serina was extremely disappointed!
“I will die before you if you insist!”
Serina was so desperate.
Derek laughed. He didn’t expect that Serina was a stubborn girl.
“Serina, have you ever heard that?”
Serina raised her arm and wept away her tears.
