In the office downstairs, Derek didn’t know what Serina was doing now.
“The turtles are going ashore to lay eggs, aren’t they?” Derek asked.
“Mr. Derek, some have gone diving to track them. There was no sign in the first few days. But recently, lots of turtles are swimming ashore. I believe they will arrive soon.”
Derek nodded, “Fetch me the binoculars I bought from the U. S..”
Hayden was surprised.
Was it necessary to watch turtles laying eggs with binoculars of such a high quality? Derek bought them on his last business trip to the United States, and they cost him a great deal.
“And find a safe place on the beach and build a delicate house. Its color should be similar to that of the sands. Make sure it won’t affect the turtles and will be completed within two days.”
Turtles were very smart. Once they discovered something wrong on the shore, they would return to the sea. Therefore, they needed to make great preparations for observing the turtles laying eggs.
Hayden’s surprise grew.
Wasn’t it too exaggerating?
Receiving no response, Derek raised his head and asked, “Any questions?”
“No, no. I’ll do it right away,” Hayden immediately replied, “Mr. Derek, any more orders?”
“No. Go ahead.”
“OK.” Hayden walked out of the office.
Derek smiled. He would give her what she wanted.
She would definitely be very excited to see a large number of turtles laying eggs.
During dinner that night, Serina had been a little absent-minded. Derek supposed that Serina was suffering period pains, so he stayed with her.
Serina was more anxious because he was always by her side.
When she went to bed, Serina still couldn’t think of any good way.
As she was in Derek’s arm, Serina suddenly came up with an idea. She could escape while Derek was asleep!
After sleeping with Derek for some time, Serina had known about his habits. He would wake up if hearing any noise.
So Serina did not dare to move rashly.
She kept her eyes open and listened to Derek’s breathing.
But finally, she fell asleep!
When she woke up, she found that it was almost dawn. Derek was still sleeping beside her.
Serina’s heart was pounding. If she didn’t leave now, she would probably miss it.
She quietly and carefully got up and found that Derek’s eyes were closed and his breathing was steady. He seemed still asleep.
Serina gritted her teeth and got out of bed. She casually picked up a garment and put it on before walking out of the bedroom.
She first went downstairs to Derek’s office and took the document from the drawer.
She also found a dagger in the drawer. She thought for a while and put it in her pocket.
Then she tiptoed out of the office and was to open the door.
As she was turning the handle, a voice sounded from behind, “Where are you going?”
Serina, who was extremely tense, was startled and screamed. The document in her hand dropped onto the floor.
As she turned around, she saw Derek standing at the stairs staring at her.
Actually, Derek woke up soon after she left the room. He immediately went downstairs when he did not see her.
Derek’s gaze rested on the document on the floor. He frowned.
Time was limited, so Serina picked it up, opened the door, and ran out.
She ran towards a ship at full speed. She had never run that fast.
Derek was standing at the door of the villa. He shouted, “Come back, Serina!”
Serina ran even faster and finally to the ship.
During the past few days when they stayed on this island, the crew on the ship were all on standby. At this time, they were still asleep.
They were woken by the sound of Serina rushing onto the ship.
Serina ran straight into the cockpit and randomly grabbed one crew member, “Now! Go to City Z! Hurry up!”
Serina was out of breath.
The crew was stunned and didn’t know what was going on.
“Hurry up!” Serina looked out. Derek should be asking his group to catch her. “Move!” she hurried.
The crew knew Serina. After all, Derek had taken the ship and arrived here with her. They all knew her.
Serina took out the dagger from her pocket and put it against the neck of a sailor, “Go!”
“Ms. Serina, don’t panic.”
“I have told you! Go to City Z! Right now!”
The captain appeared. Seeing this, he seemed not panicked at all, “Sail!”
Everyone immediately followed his order and got in position.
Knowing that they were sailing, Serina put down the dagger and sank to the ground with the document in her arms.
The ship had sailed.
Serina looked out and didn’t see Derek chasing her. It was not easy to gather his group in the early morning, so she was relieved.
Derek was sitting on the sofa in his pajamas, having an unfathomable expression.
Henry walked in and said, “Mr. Derek, the ship has sailed as you ordered. Don’t you chase Ms. Serina? Or we can make arrangements. When the ship docks, we can catch Ms. Serina there.”
“No need.”
Henry was puzzled, but he didn’t ask for the reasons.
“Arrange a taxi at the dock.”
“Okay.”
Derek’s eyes were filled with anger. It was all an act, and he did not see it through!
Perhaps she had found the document on the day when she played the games, but she pretended not to know anything!
Damn it!
Since Serina asked him to hug her during sleep, he should have been alert. He had supposed that she was gradually accepting him!
It was a trap!
He would wait to see what she could do!
After an hour and a half, the ship docked.
Serina got off the ship with the document in her arms.
There were few taxis at the dock. After all, this was not a dock for passengers, and it was very small, so there weren’t many people around.
Just as Serina was worried, a taxi stopped at her, “Do you need a taxi?”
“Yes!” Serina instantly got on the taxi.
“The Nathan Hotel on the North Ring Road, City Z.”
Serina knew the Nathan Hotel well. The major events were usually held in the Nathan Hotel in the central district.
She thought it was no exception this time.
At this moment, the event for signing the contracts was about to begin in this hotel.
