Derek wasn’t annoyed, but smiled instead.
“Alright, I don’t need you tonight anyway. You can do whatever you want.” After saying that, Derek closed the door.
What did he mean by saying that he didn’t need her?
Serena stomped her feet in anger, but since she had said that she wouldn’t go back, she would definitely not break her word!
The corridor was covered with Persian rugs. Serena felt comfortable and sat down against the wall directly.
It was late at night. After the fight, Serena started to feel sleepy. She leaned against the wall, yawned and closed her eyes.
She dreamt of Sammy again.
In the dream, he remained warm and caring. No matter how she bullied him, he didn’t get angry and kept her company all the time.
A smile lifted the corner of Serena’s mouth.
Ever since Sammy left her, she had never smiled like this except in her dreams.
Derek waited in his room for a long time without seeing Serena come back. He thought to himself that this girl had her pride.
Walking out of the door, he turned around and saw Serena sleeping in the corridor.
She slept so well with a sweet smile on her face, as if nothing could upset her in the world.
Derek smiled and walked over. He picked her up and took her to the bedroom.
Just as he put Serena on the bed, he heard her mutter, “I love you….”
“What did you say?” Derek asked.
“I love you….” Serena whispered with her eyes closed.
Hearing this, Derek revealed a brilliant smile, which was neither evil nor malicious. He truly felt happy about that.
“You fell in love with me so quickly?” Derek stretched out his hand and pinched Serena’s cheeks.
Noticing something dirty on her face, he stood up and went to the bathroom.
Serena, who was lying on the bed, rolled over and murmured. “I love you, Sammy….”
Derek grabbed a towel, damped it and came out to wipe Serena’s face.
That night, he slept soundly with her in his arms.
When Serena woke up the next day, Derek had left. She blinked and suddenly sat up.
Wasn’t she in the corridor last night? Why was she here now?
Who brought her back?
Derek?
Who else could it be except him?
That couldn’t be!
She had lost the chance of pleasing the Great Demon King and might be unable to get the invitation. Worse of all, she received some bad news!
At night, Derek came back and told her that he was going to catch the plane to S City.
“Then when will you be back?”
No one could help her get the invitation except him! If he left, what was she supposed to do?
“In about four days.”
“Four days? Isn’t that the second day after Sammy and Clara’s wedding?”
Derek was packing his clothes in the cloakroom. Serena stood at the door and questioned.
“You have two choices now. First, go to S City with me and continue pleasing me. Second, stay here and wait for me to come back.”
“What’s the point of choosing between them? Anyway, I won’t be able to make it to the wedding!” Serena exclaimed.
Derek liked to see her get anxious. “Do whatever you want.”
Actually he wanted to bring her with him, but he would always get distracted with her around, so he dismissed the idea. He had to deal with something of crucial importance in S City this time.
Serena curled her lips. “Can’t you just give me the invitation before leaving?”
“No, I don’t have one, either,” Derek said coldly.
Serena hung her head in frustration. “All right then. You…” Something occurred to her.
“What?”
“Will you bring another woman with you?”
The man only cared about his needs of sex, so he would probably bring a woman to help him with that.
A meaningful smile turned up the corners of Derek’s mouth. “So are you getting jealous?”
“Of course not! I’m just afraid that you catch an STD and give it to me?”
“Don’t worry, I will wear a condom.”
“You really do?” Serena just threw the question to see how he would react. But hearing his reply, she lost her composure.
“Why should I bring one? There are quite a few women in S City, aren’t there?”
“It’s not that easy to pin down the women there! They’re all fiery and even know a little bit of Kung Fu. If you’re not lucky, you might even find one with a gun.”
“How do you know that?”
“Well … I learned it on the Internet.” Serena looked sideways and blurted out.
Derek walked up to Serena, got close and whispered in her ear, “Then I have to give it a try. I enjoy whatever excites me.”
Serena felt an itch and leaned back. “Pervert!”
Derek chucked Serena under the chin, but she removed his hand immediately.

“I have to go.”
“So?”
Serena rolled her eyes at Derek, who caught her off guard and kissed her on the lips. He kept her small mouth in his own and sucked it gently.
Her mouth seemed to taste sweet, refreshing and fascinating him.
Serena wanted to break free from him, but she failed and could only wait for him to finish the kiss.

Serena felt that this man was breathing faster. He wrapped his arms around her tiny waist and pulled her closer to him!
“Knock–”
An annoying knock came from outside the door.
Serena signaled to Derek that someone was knocking at the door.
Only then did Derek stop lingeringly. He turned around and walked out of the bedroom.
Serena leaned against the wall of the cloakroom and breathed heavily. She would probably have suffocated if he hadn’t stopped.
She reached out and touched her numb lips.
She was somewhat overwhelmed.
Derek had gone on a business trip, so Serena led a free life in the Crystal Palace.
But she had to find a way to get an invitation to the wedding.
Remembering that she and Sammy had many classmates in common, she called them one by one, but none of them received an invitation.
Serena gritted her teeth angrily. It seemed that she was prevented from showing up at the wedding!
