Serina stood at the door and peeked inside.
Derek took off his tie and put it aside. He loosened his collar and said, “Come in and talk.”
Serina timidly walked in and was afraid that he would take advantage of her during the day.
“I didn’t run away. I just happened to meet my family, so I went home. I was going to come back today.”
Derek sat at the bed and looked up at Serina, who was dressed in jeans and a white T-shirt. With her hair up in a ponytail, one would even think she was a high school student.
“Why are you wearing sunglasses?”
“It’s cool,” Serina pushed her sunglasses up her nose as she said.
“Come over.”
“What?”
“Come over.”
How reticent he was! Couldn’t he say a more word?
Serina pursed her lips and said, “I’m fine standing here.”
With a sullen face, Derek gave Serina a sharp look. In an instant, she felt like the blood vessels were frozen up all over.
As expected, Great Demon King was domineering. He was intolerant of others’ views.
“OK, I’ll do as you said,” Serina walked forward step by step, and when she reached a distance of more than a meter from Derek, she stopped and said, “I’m here.”
Seeing that she refused to step forward again, Derek stood up and walked to her himself. He reached out to Serina’s sunglasses, but Serina hurriedly dodged.
Derek grabbed Serina’s arm with one hand easily and removed her sunglasses with another hand.
In her hurry, Serina covered her eyes with her free hand and said, “Don’t look at me!”
Although she seemed unconcerned, she was still a young lady. She was ugly now. How could Derek see it?
Derek directly removed her hand and saw her swollen eyes. He was stunned for a moment before asking, “What happened?”
Now that Derek had seen, Serina didn’t flounder anymore and opened her eyes, “It’s just an inflammation.”
“Inflammation?” Derek walked to the bedside and pressed the button on it.
“Mr. Derek, what do you want?” Henry asked in the other end.
“Go and get an eye doctor.”
“No need! It’s fine!” Serina interrupted, “Mr. Henry, there’s no need for doctor. It’s fine!”
Serina pressed the button in haste.
“Are you sure you don’t need to see a doctor?” Derek said as he raised his eyebrows.
“Yes!” Serina fanned herself with her hand and thought Derek was making a fuss. From childhood until now, the ones she was most afraid of were the doctors!
“Okay!”
As Serina was sitting at the head of the bed, Derek pushed her to the bed suddenly. Just as Serina was about to get up, he bent over and stopped her!
“It’s daytime. What are you doing?”
“You!” Derek said. After he pressed another button, the curtains were slowly drawn and the room darkened.
When the curtains were completely closed, it was as dark as night in the room.
“It’s dark now,” Derek said. He kissed Serina on the lips and grabbed her hand to stop her from struggling.
Serina was no match for him at strength.
Her back was painful again. As she struggled, the wounds in her back began to rub against her shirt. Besides, since she lay on the bed, she was in much more pain.
“You’re hurting me!”
“Before I even get started?” Derek stopped kissing her and asked.
But when he saw Serina’s pale face, he realized that Serina was not faking it.
“Where does it hurt?”
Serina bit her lips and turned her head aside.
Derek leaned forward slightly, and Serina subconsciously dodged. She felt a pain in her back due to the friction and she frowned again.
Derek was smart enough to tell that she hurt her back from her reaction.
Derek turned Serina over and grabbed the collar. With a hard pull, he tore her cotton T-shirt in two after a crisp sound.
Seeing Serina’s back, Derek couldn’t help but frown.
Many wounds covered Serina’s fair back. Although there was no bleeding, she was seriously bruised. The wounds were either purple or red, and some of them were about to ooze blood.
As she was severely injured, Serina didn’t wear underwear, trying to reduce friction.
“Are you done? If you’ve seen enough, get up!” Serina was irritated.
“I haven’t seen enough yet.” Derek pressed the button beside the bed and asked Henry to bring up the medicine.
“There’s no need for medicine. It’s not serious. I don’t mind it at all. I will recover soon after taking a good rest. Besides, the wounds are on my back, and I can’t apply the medicine myself.”
Derek let go of Serina and sat straight up at the bed, “I can help you.”
“What do you mean?” Serina sat up from the bed and took a pillow on the bed to cover her upper body. What a rude man! How could he tear her shirt in two?
Derek glanced at her and didn’t say anything.
In less than five minutes, Henry sent the medicine and cotton swabs to the bedroom.
With the pillow in her arms, Serina only showed her sexy collarbone.
Derek put the potion on the bedside table, took out a cotton swab, and stained it with the potion, “Lie down.”
Serina took a deep breath and said, “Are you going to apply the medicine for me?”
“Otherwise?”
“Then be gentle.” Serina said as she lay on the bed with her back upward.
It was the first time that Derek applied medicine for others. He held the cotton swab and dabbed it over Serina’s wounds.
Serina winced and drew a deep breath, “What are you doing? It hurts!”
Derek didn’t say anything, but he became gentler.
When Derek slowed down, Serina tilted her head and cast a glance at him.
What did she see?
Did he have gentleness in his eyes? Was she mistaken? No. he indeed looked gentle and his eyes became no longer cold.
She used to tremble when she looked into his eyes! And that was how Ernest felt as well.
Derek threw away the cotton swab in his hand, and the smell of the potion around him greeted Serina.
“It’s done.”
Serina still hugged the pillow and used it to cover her chest.
She looked at Derek and wondered what exactly he was thinking. Ernest had told her that Derek would divorce her soon.
Why hadn’t he mentioned it yet? Instead, he kept teasing her. What did he want to do?
“Can I ask you a question?”
“Go on,” Derek replied as he rolled down his sleeve.
Serina had to admit that he was elegant and he looked like a noble.
“Why don’t you divorce me?”
