I started screaming at Chris… Just as the police arrived.
Just when I thought that my life could not get any worse all of this had to happen. God has the most cruel sense if humour.
Two police officers came to us. And one of them asked “what happened here?”
“Please, he did that because of me it was not him,” I started crying And shouting at them. “Please take me.”
One of the police officers noticed the knife and dresses hand. And they took out a shackle to arrest Chris. They locked up his hand in that. In the handcuff.
“Please don’t take it if it is my fault. I am the guilty one.” I kept crying but they didn’t listen to me.
“Ava, please be calm.” Chris ordered me.
How can I be calm taking him to open the police station. I don’t know what to do and I situation like this.
This was not suppose to happen.
One of the police officers took out his walkie talkie and said. “Send an ambulance on 63rd St. An ambulance on 63rd St. It is an emergency.”
“Listen to ne officer please…. I was just walking on the street and the two men started to talk with me and hurt me and then they grabbed me and this man just saved my life, it is not his fault. They were harassing me and he just helped me just completely my fault.”

It has been two hours since we are at the police station and now we are sitting at the police Officers Office and explaining him the whole situation.
“I was going to call out for help, but they crapped my mouth so I could not scream or shout and there were two of them so I wasn’t able to fight them away.” I explained the police office. And he nodded in understanding.
“Just as they were going to abduct me, my friend came in to help me. They had a knife and they pointed it at us and they asked for me and said that if they have me, they let. Chris, go. I don’t even know what happened all of a sudden. He was suddenly on the ground laying in the pool of blood. I seriously don’t know what happened. I zoned out.”
The police officer looked at me like he believed me, but he nodded his head and said, “daughter, you have to tell us in your testimony.”
“But we don’t need a testimony.” I objected. “You are taking an innocent person into custody Chris is completely innocent. It was the guys fault. They attacked me. Chris just came there to save me. Why won’t you understand? It happened because of me, so I should be at fault. If you have to arrest someone, arrest me, not him.”
“Look, I know you’re in trouble and are very tensed, but you cannot speak to me right that and what will happen next will be decided by the code. Just pray that the person injured. Is not dead by now.”
Everything in me gone blank again. I love that Chris and his eyes were full of remorse. And guilt.
Chris told me “go home Ava and called my mother and inform her about this. OK, I know we can get through this.”
Then an officer came. And took. Chris away.
“Please dont punish him, he’s innocent. It happened because of me.” I tried but it was all in vain. Friend like the most helpless person in the world.

I Informed Chris’ mom about the whole situation and I also called few of our friends to say for anyone could help us. Out of this mess.
It was really late at evening, but I still had to work. Hotel to check everything is alright.
My eyes are bloodshot red and my head is aching like crazy because of all the tension going on.
I tried to take a nap but I was not able to sleep. As my mind was clouded with all these thoughts.
Tomorrow morning I’ll go to see a lawyer. Hopefully she can help us. Two of my friends will also help me there. As I don’t think I can call there all alone.
My mind went to Sean all of a sudden. And add remembered his offer. Maybe he can help me but how can I ask him to me after everything they tested to him. Just go to the lawyer tomorrow and see what happens.

We are waiting for three hours since morning for the lawyer to arrive, but I think she is in the courtroom and it’s getting really late at that. My foot on the floor impatiently.
Ria, and Tony accompanied me here. But I don’t know if they can be of much help. I mean, they’re helping me altogether, but. The thoughts in my mind cannot be subdued by anyone.
After some more waiting, the lawyer arrived.
We were called into her office shortly.
I explained her the whole case.
And she looked pretty optimistic about. Winning the case.
But my eyes bulged out of my sockets when I heard about her face.
One million dollars! Plus we have to pay the advance of 50 thousand before the start of the testimony and 50 thousand after the case finishes.
So I told her honestly…. ” To be honest, Your lawyer services are very expensive. But, that is for us. Our budget is not that widely ranged.”
She looked at me with sympathy but I didn’t need it right now.
‘How will we bring so much money? How will we pay?’ I thought to myself.
“Look here, this is a very complex case. If you don’t find a lawyer very soon. Who will? constantly monitored the. Progress of the case. Then your friend can get a heavy punishment. And if the wounded did person dies, your friend might suffer with a life sentence.”
I looked out of the window completely lost.
I have never felt like this in my life.
But, there was only one person I could think of right now.
The only person who can get me out of this bloody mess.
