Chapter 27 Cemetery

Book:The Badboy's Hometown Princess Published:2024-5-1

Being a girlfriend to Harry is the best thing that ever happens in any girl’s life. Oh you might think I was being dramatic but come on! It’s the truth. Having a caring, idiotic as well as sexy guy as a boyfriend that made everyone jealous, definitely takes us to cloud nine.
From the day I became his real girlfriend we started hanging out more. I set a condition to not force me to do anything and Harry accepted. Though I was getting stares from few bitches and jealousy looks from all other guys, I never cared about them. All I cared was the tall, handsome, emerald eyed idiot guy who always roam around me and made me feel like a princess.
Months were passing like days and we became seniors with the title of famous couple in our college. Even the principal heard the gossip, from then he started giving us weird looks wherever he saw us together. It’s not like he was against to any relationships but he remembered Harry’s fight in college and got a lot of complaints on Harry for his stupid behaviour so the principal was kind of… against to Harry. Why can’t he just concentrate on his works?
Well it’s not the thing I should worry about but I should definitely worry about the question my dad asked. Did you see it? MY DAD. When I reached my home as usual after my college one day, he asked “I heard rumours on you and Harry. Are you both in a relationship?” Hearing him I was frozen for a minute. Though he won’t oppose my relationship I lied to him. “They are rumours, dad. Looking my closeness with Harry everyone started thinking like that.”
My mom was not satisfied with my answer. She kept asking me in many direct and indirect ways but I kept escaping the situation. How can I tell them that I’m trying to have a forever relationship with Harry though he was against to it?
As it’s a Sunday, I walked to Harry’s house to see granny. Don’t think it as an excuse to see Harry. Before I started loving Harry, I loved his grandma. Carrying the cake which I baked for granny, I reached her building.
“Granny!” Calling her I entered into the building. I saw Harry and Granny started to go out somewhere.
“Hey Stella! Miss me already?” Harry smirked.
I rolled my eyes at my handsome prince who was looking more handsome in his black t-shirt and Jeans.
“Stella!” granny walked towards me and placed a kiss on my forehead.
“I brought you cake.” I smiled.
“For me?” Harry’s eyes sparkled.
I gave a sarcastic smile saying “In your dreams.”
“Oh don’t forget I always make my dreams come true.” He smirked. I could easily understand he was talking about being my dance partner.
I shifted my gaze towards granny who was laughing at our childish talks. “I think you are heading somewhere.” I said looking at her.
She took the cake box from my hands and placed it on the table. She then said “To the cemetery.”
I narrowed my eyebrows hearing her. I looked at her confused.
“It’s my husband’s death day.” She said in a sad tone.
“Oh! Okay.” I replied as I didn’t know what else to say. “I think I should leave.” I nervously smiled.
“Why won’t you come with us?” Harry asked. I saw mischievousness in his flirty eyes. He doesn’t even look sad. How can he be so hard like rock?
“Me?” I questioned.
“Yeah! If you don’t mind you can come with us.” She smiled.
I nodded my head and started with them. Soon we reached the cemetery and walked to granny’s husband’s tomb. Looking at her husband’s name my eyes widened. It’s Harry Shane Wilson. I never expected this. I knew most of the things about his family but I never attentive about granny’s husband’s name. Stupid me! I looked at Harry after seeing the name and he rolled his eyes understanding why I looked at him.
Tears that started forming granny’s eyes while looking at the tomb was so evident that true love never leaves our hearts. Harry wrapped his arm over her shoulder pulling her close. She put the bouquet on the tomb and stared at it silently. Whereas Harry’s expression was neutral. He was not sad. He was just being himself.
She sat on the bench near the tomb looking at it. Harry and I stood near her. Harry was scrolling his cell phone and I hit him with my elbow. He shifted his gaze towards me with a raised eyebrow.
“How can you be like this?” I asked in a low tone annoyed.
“What?” he asked.
“You are not even a bit sad. That’s your grandfather.” I raised my eyebrow.
He rolled his eyes hearing my sentence. He said “I don’t even know him. He was died before I was born. I don’t have any attachments with him. I don’t want to fake sadness, Stella.”
I scoffed hearing him and muttered “Go to hell.”
“Oh don’t say that. We are already in a cemetery. What if Lucifer blesses you? I want to go to heaven to spend my afterlife with angels. Imagine angels around me, talking to me… I was talking about girls. Girl angels.” He started his stupid talk.
“Harry!” I shouted.
He laughed looking at me and shifted his gaze to his grandma. He sat beside her asking “What if your husband’s name was some old, cringe long boring name? Will you have kept the name to me in remembrance of your husband?” He looked at her worried.
With his question I got to know that Harry was named after his grandfather who was died many years before.
Granny smiled hearing his question and answered “Then your name might had been a long boring Wilson.”
He hummed as a response and mumbled “Thanks grandpa. I’m glad you didn’t had any weird name.”
“Oh in that case you should thank my in laws. It’s them who kept name to your grandpa.”
“Whatever.” Harry rolled his eyes. He then said “As I have your husband’s name, you should respect me like your husband. You shouldn’t shout at me even if I was irregular to college, if I get suspended or even if I bring girls to our house. Um… I mean to help me in my studies.”
Ugh! Seriously Harry? What an idiot you are?
“Oh really!” granny held Harry’s ear and pinched it.
“Ouch! Grandpa your wife is killing me. Do something.” He shouted.
Granny started laughing hearing his sentence. Harry smiled looking at her and said “I love to see you laughing, gran.”
“But not here. Everyone will look at me like a mad one.” She said laughing.
I smiled looking at them. Harry always tries to make everyone laugh despite of whatever the situation is with his stupid talks and weird actions. Guess he can easily earn by doing stand up comedies.
I sat beside her when Harry walked away when he got a call. I noticed granny looking at Harry. She said “I love this boy.”
I looked at Harry and my lips curved up with smile. I mumbled blushing “Me too.”
“What?” granny asked. I might have told it in a loud voice.
“Um… nothing. I didn’t know Harry was named after his grandfather.” I said diverting the topic.
She said smiling “When Harry was born, he reminded me of his grandpa. He has his grandpa’s eyes. Evil, flirty emerald eyes.” She laughed. She then continued saying “Harry is so similar to his grandpa. The weird actions, crazy talks, almost everything.”
I noticed her face was shining bright while talking about her husband. I asked “How did you both meet?”
“At college. We went to same college. You know, he was like a chill type and I was so serious about everything. We were like the opposites.”
Wow granny! The same with me and junior Harry.
“Then how did he get serious about you?” I asked thinking about Harry.
“He didn’t at first. Later he realized I’m the one for him and we married, had a great life. All I did was I never gave up on him. And all he did was love me from the core of his heart.” She said smiling.
Harry walked to us after he cut the call. He stood behind us resting his hands on either of us. He asked “What is that two devils talking about? How to plan my murder?”
“I don’t think it’s necessary to plan to kill you. We can easily kill you without even a proper plan.” Granny laughed.
“Well said granny.” I laughed along with her.
“I should be careful with you two devils.” He rolled his eyes.
“Yes you should.” Granny laughed.
Harry put his hand on his chest dramatically saying “Oh Abi! I’m the second version of your husband and oh Stella! I’m your prince. You both can’t plan my murder.”
“Actually we can.” Granny and I said in unison.
“It’s not the good manners to hear others plan so being a good boy I will be waiting in the car. Plan well.” Saying that he started walking towards the car.
We both laughed looking at him and then granny asked “Prince?”
Shit! Harry you left me to answer to granny for your stupid sentence.
“It’s nothing. It’s a stupid talk like he always does.”
I didn’t know whether she buy my answer or not but she simply nodded her head not asking anything. That’s enough. We both then strolled to the car and we all left the place.
