Chapter 26 My girlfriend

The next few days were same. Chatting with him and dreaming about him. I never imagined I would go crazy for a crazy guy. I was eagerly waiting for Harry and granny’s arrival.
Though I knew he was not interested in any kind of love and such things, I had been hoping he wouldn’t leave me easily. Just with that thought I was getting relaxed but many things about our relationship had been bugging my head as always.
The waiting for Harry’s arrival was over. The next morning they would reach here. I had waited more than twenty days for him but I couldn’t wait for just one night. I had been staring at the clock praying to pass the time fast. Was I acting childish? I thought for a moment. No, I’m not. I convinced myself.
With all the thoughts and sleep for few hours, the night finished. I woke up the morning before the horrible alarm sound, freshened up and strolled to the living room.
I saw my mom sat on the couch, reading the newspaper.
Looking at me my mom’s mouth dropped wide open. She kept looking at me like I was a creature came from another planet.
“What?” I shouted.
“When did you start waking up this early?” She asked surprisingly.
There’s nothing wrong in her surprise. I was always a sleepyhead. I never woke up early even when I had classes.
I strolled to her and sat beside her saying “Mom! I’m changed. I decided to stare the sky before the sun rises up.”
“Huh? What? Stella! Are you okay? Do we need to take you to hospital?” my mom laughed.
“Mom!” I rolled my eyes.
She kept laughing recalling my words. She asked “Is everything alright?”
“I never thought if I wake up early you would ask these many questions.” I paused for a moment and said “Everything is fine mom.”
She stood from the couch and started strolling to kitchen. While walking she shouted “You know, Harry and his grandma are coming today?”
Oh innocent mom! Because of that I didn’t sleep last night.
“Oh yeah! I know it mom. Harry told me.” I answered not showing any kind of excitement in my words. But I didn’t know where I did wrong, my mom stopped strolling and turned to me as soon as she heard my words. She gave me a look which I couldn’t decipher and I stared at her with a questioning face.
“Mom! You know what? You can kill people with your stares.” I rolled my eyes.
“You are so excited for their arrival, aren’t you?” she asked.
The truth was she had been doubting me even from the days when I was not loving him. And now, I guess her doubts went strong.
“Excitement? What are you saying? Not like that.” I gave a nervous chuckle.
“Yeah you are not. But why do I feel that you woke up early because of the excitement that they are arriving?”
How? How does these moms always find out the truth. Did she set a hidden camera in my room? Ugh! Stupid thoughts.
Our conversation was interrupted when my dad came out from the room.
“Morning Stella! You woke up early.” He smiled.
Dad! Do not start. Guess I won’t wake up this early here after.
Dad then strolled to the small garden area at the entrance of the house and started sipping his coffee whereas mom kept preparing dishes. If they arrive they would go to their building and what reason should I tell my mom to go there? I kept pondering the reasons while biting my lower lip. I snapped my fingers when an idea streaked my head. I decided to tell my mom that granny wanted to see me and she called me to go their house. I patted my shoulder for my not so brilliant idea.
I texted Harry where they were. I waited for his reply but instead of the notification sound, I heard footsteps approaching from the outside. My heart thumped of the feel Harry was outside. Instead of running there I stood frozen while my heart started pacing fast. Within a moment I saw Harry in front of me.
“Hello princess.” He smirked.
I kept looking at him without even blinking. My eyes started getting wet but I kept controlling them. I realized how it feels to see the person after being in the long distance relationship. Long distance one sided relationship, in my case.
“Stella!” granny shouted walking towards me along with my dad, Uncle Zach and Aunt Charlotte. She gave me a warm hug and kissed my forehead. I smiled looking at her. Aunt Charlotte hugged me and greeted.
My mom came out from kitchen and looking at them she was shocked and so excited. We all sat on the couches and everyone was talking except me. I kept looking at him with utmost adoration. Between their talks, I noticed Harry too was gazing at me. I had a lot of things to talk to him yet I couldn’t even utter any word. I kept looking at him like if I close my eyes I would miss him.
We had breakfast and they all walked to the garden, laughing. I was drinking water that’s when I felt someone behind me. I knew who it is.
“Stella!” I heard his voice.
I turned back and smiled at him. He leaned in and rested his chin at the crook of my neck. I gasped at his action and butterflies erupted in my stomach. He whispered “When did you go dumb?”
“What?” I pushed him back.
He kept laughing looking at me. I crossed my arms and kept looking at him with my raised eyebrow.
“Who is dumb? Can you just stop your stupid laugh?” I made an irritated face.
He stopped laughing and said “You didn’t even speak a word to me. So I thought your vocal cords were damaged.”
I gave him an angry look but it turned to a smile while looking at him. I too started laughing along with him and said “Thought you would go to your house first.”
“Oh if my princess is not in the castle why would I go there?” he winked.
I smiled looking at him. We both kept looking at eachother silently and he broke the silence saying “I missed you, Stella.”
Hearing his words I started to dance. Okay I was dancing inside as didn’t want to project myself as a mad girl in front of him.
“Really? I thought you forgot me when you were with your friends.”
“I will never forget you. You are so special to me. I guess I told you this before.”
“I missed you too, Harry.” I smiled.
“Oh Stella! I know you miss me. As you are not letting it out I took the initiative to tell I miss you.” He smirked.
“What?” I hit his arm and shouted frustratingly “You are a jerk, seriously.”
He laughed at my sentences and said “Stop beating me. My mom will cry if she sees someone hitting her son.”
I let out a sigh and started strolling away but he caught my wrist that made me interrupt my walk. He pulled me to his chest and I gulped looking at him. He held me so close and I stuttered “H-Harry. L-Leave me.” Though I didn’t want to get out of his arms I couldn’t risk someone seeing us like this.
“Stella! I was joking. I really missed you. Missed you so much.” His eyes gleamed sincerity. I bent my head down smiling. He left me when I was struggling to free from his grip. He then walked away from there.
I smiled at his words. I missed them. His stupid talks, weird actions and his irritating behaviour. After staying for few minutes they all left to their house. I called Anna and told everything excitedly.
The next day, at college, Harry and I strolled to the canteen whereas Roman and Anna went for a drive. We started talking about how we both spent our days. He kept telling how he enjoyed with his friends, how he met his ex and her reaction after she saw him. In his words, I clearly understood his ex still likes him. But he seemed not interested in her. He said his parents would leave tonight as they came only to see my family.
While we were talking, I saw Vickie staring at us angrily. Not only Vickie, all the girl fans of Harry were staring at us. I noticed few guys who tried to be my boyfriend looking at us.
“Stella! What are you looking at?” Asking that he followed my stare. He saw Vickie looking at us in jealous.
He said smirking “They are still thinking we are in a relationship.”
I simply nodded my head hearing him.
He then said laughing “I don’t understand how they would react if they know that I blackmailed you to be my girlfriend.”
I kept quiet focusing on my juice.
He continued saying “Stella! If you are not feeling comfortable with their stares, I can tell them that you are not my girlfriend.”
“You can tell that?” I raised my eyebrow.
“Though I hate to tell that, I couldn’t see you feeling uncomfortable.”
“Who said I’m not comfortable?” I asked.
“I just felt that.”
“There’s no need of it. I love… being your girlfriend.”
He narrowed his eyes listening to my answer.
I stopped drinking my juice and looked at him. I said “I love being your girlfriend. I don’t care about their stares. I want to continue our fake relationship as a real one.”
He exclaimed “What?” He was so shocked.
I smiled saying “I want to be your girlfriend. Like a real one.”
He let out a chuckle happily. He asked laughing “Stella! Why? Are you sure?”
“Yes I am.” I smiled.
He kept looking at me smiling. I finished my drink and said “Let’s go.”
Harry and I stood from our chairs and he walked beside me. He wrapped his arm over my shoulder pulling me close. I noticed everyone’s eyes widened and kept envying us.
Harry looked at my face and said in a low proud voice “My girlfriend.”
