Jesse hadn’t put on his clothes yet, and his lean upper body was right in front of her eyes. She could clearly see the eight-pack abs, neatly arranged, making her want to reach out and touch them involuntarily.
She resisted!
“I still have to go to work!” she said as she looked at him.
“If you want to touch them, then touch them,” he grabbed her hand and pressed it against his abs.
Damn!
Why did he become so bad now?
Give that Jesse who blushed easily back to her! The current Jesse is irresistible!
“Don’t do this!” I’m scared!
“What’s there not to dare when it comes to your own man?”
“Or is it that you don’t want to touch me but someone else?”
“…” She had never been in a relationship before. The only man in her life was Jesse. Where would other men come from?
She forcefully pulled back her hand and then reached out and lifted up his pants. “Put on your clothes properly. Boys also need to protect themselves well so they won’t be bullied!”
These glaring abs are too stimulating!
“I wear my clothes properly outside; no one can bully me except for you.” His low voice made Nydia’s heart skip a beat, while his charming smile made him look like a demon.

“Get up; let’s go eat breakfast. I still have work!”
“Okay, we’ll talk about it after you resign.” He was easygoing again.
“… Does that mean I won’t have to get up early after resigning? And then you can do whatever you want?”

Nydia went with Jesse for breakfast.
“Mummy, when are we going over Uncle Cannon’s house?” Molly suddenly asked.
“Huh?” It took Nydia a moment before realizing Molly meant Cuthbert instead of Albi as Uncle Cannon.
“We’ll visit during Christmas.”
She didn’t expect Molly would still think about Albi though… wait no… didn’t she like Darius more?
“Molly, do you want play with Uncle Cannon or Uncle Darius?”
“Uncle Darius! When we go over Uncle Cannon’s house he can take me along!”
Jesse’s face wasn’t looking good anymore; their daughter was already lusting after other men at such an early age.”Molly, do you think Uncle Darius is handsome or is Daddy handsome?” Nydia asked intentionally, giving Jesse a challenging look.
“Mama, this is a trick question,” Molly replied.
Ha! Kids are even more fun when they know too much.
“Of course Daddy is better looking!” Molly said firmly and looked at Jesse again. “Daddy, you’re better looking than Uncle Darius.”
Jesse: “… Yeah right!”
“What about you? Who do you think looks good?” He asked Nydia.
He didn’t care who Molly thought was good-looking. He cared about Nydia’s opinion.
“Of course it’s you who looks good. Do I need to say it?”
“Because it’s a trick question?”
“No! Seriously, I just like your style!” She had to coax her because she didn’t want the table flipped over while eating. Especially now that Jesse’s legs had recovered quite a bit and he had amazing destructive power.
Seeing Nydia seriously saying this made Jesse not ask any further questions.
“Mama has gone to work. You guys behave at home and wait for Daddy and Mama to take you out for Christmas.”
“Bye Mama.”
Nydia went to work and sent Cuthbert a message saying that she was busy lately but would visit during Christmas time.
She went to find Cade again and reaffirmed her decision to resign from the company once more.
“Do you really want to resign? Don’t you think it’s a pity? If you don’t resign now, then as Vice President of the company, later on will be Director of the company; with only Willette marrying Barclay in our family business won’t interest her.”
Nydia: This flattery goes too far!
“Uncle Malone, you have taken care of me so much these years already; how could I still take your company away from my sister? You guys are kind-hearted people but I cannot forget kindness done unto me.”
“Don’t say that; You’re also my daughter!” Cade spoke sincerely which easily gained trust.
She thought back on how in her past life she fell for their act which was too realistic; when she did not jump out quickly enough they were able deceive her easily.
“If Uncle Malone needs my help in future then I’ll come back but recently work has been tiring so I want some rest.”
Cade sighed knowing he couldn’t persuade anymore so he agreed instead.”He had originally planned to turn Nydia into an internet celebrity. Now, with the importance of online traffic, Nydia was practically made for it and could definitely earn money. But she wanted to quit her job, and he felt that Jesse must have influenced her decision. Jesse probably saw the business opportunity in turning Nydia into a web star.
After getting Cade’s approval, Nydia went to see the director and found Zane there after a long absence.
“Jessie, what brings you here?” The director still liked calling her Jessie as it made their interactions more comfortable.
“I came to tell you about my resignation.”
“What? You’re quitting?” He looked at Zane instead of Nydia which seemed strange to her.
“Yes. I’ve already spoken with the chairman and he agreed.”
“Why are you suddenly resigning?”
“I just feel too tired,” said Nydia simply.
The director’s face didn’t look good but he didn’t say much except sighing heavily. “Losing two key players all at once is giving me a headache.”
Nydia was confused.
“Consultant Porter also plans on resigning from his advisory position.”
This shocked Nydia even more.
“Did you two plan this together?”
“No no, I…”
“Just kidding,” said the director with a laugh uglier than crying. “You two can leave now; I need some peace and quiet.”
As they left, Zane called out to her asking her to come by his office for a moment.
“Why do you want to quit?” Zane’s face wasn’t good as he looked at her with anger in his eyes.
“I just don’t want to work anymore,” she said lightly feeling like she didn’t need explain herself.
Zane frowned. “You feel tired? You want rest?”
Nydia also frowned finding his attitude strange.
“Do you plan on becoming Mrs. Pascall who eats without working or dresses without paying for it?”
“No.”
Zane relaxed slightly after hearing this but then broke down again within seconds.
“I’ve always been self-sufficient when it comes eating or dressing myself.”
“Nydia!” Zane was furious now. “You finally have your own career and yet give up so easily because of exhaustion? Isn’t being just an ornament tiring?”
“It’s not that! Why are you so angry about my resignation?” This is ridiculous!”You said you didn’t want to be Jesse’s accessory, right? What’s going on now? If he doesn’t want you anymore, what else can you do if not be his accessory?”
Nydia finally understood why Zane was so angry, but she couldn’t figure out why. After all, she had no connection with Zane.
Suddenly she remembered what Jesse had said about Zane liking her.
“Zane, do you like me?” She asked suddenly and looked up at him with a mischievous glint in her eyes.
