I was once again pulled out of bed waking me up, I was finally able to get a few hours sleep after last night. This time it wasn’t Rudy who pulled me out of bed, it was a woman I’ve never seen before, she pulls me all the way down stairs where a couple other women were. also who I’ve never seen before.
“Stand still we only have a couple hours to make it” the woman who pulled me out the bed says, taking a tape measure from the table.
“What’s going on?” I ask, I was still basically asleep at this point, what are people’s deal with pulling me out of my sleep?!
“We’re fitting you for your wedding dress sweetheart” another woman smiles kindly at me, oh yeah I forgot I’m getting married today.
“Where’s Rudy?” I ask, I haven’t seen him since he went off last night saying he was gonna get my maid of honour.
“He’s out at the moment, but don’t worry he’ll be back soon” she smiles but she went back to writing down the measurements, the woman from before was saying.
Rudy’s POV
It’s took me a few hours but I finally arrived at the castle, I have to be quick, I don’t like leaving Savannah alone anymore especially what happened last time I did. I walk up to the gates, two guards standing outside like normal.
“I’m here for an meeting with the King, I need to see him now” I say but the guards just give me a look “I’m Rudy, the person that’s helping the king get his daughter back” as soon as I say that another guard walks over, the gates opening as he got to them.
“Follow me, tell the king Rudy is coming, he’ll know who he is” the guard says quickly walking me into the castle asking for my backpack, I hand it over to the guard who passes it to another probably to search it.
He leads me right into the ball room where I met the king before, everyone was standing in the like before, but a girl around Savannah’s age was also there.
“What did I tell you about staying out of it so I could deal with it?” I ask as I step in front of them, looking directly at the king.
“I hadn’t heard from you in a week, I didn’t know if you were really trying to help my daughter” he says, which just ticked me off.
“Oh so you just send some of your men to invade the place when your daughter is in there, due to your actions all the plans I’ve been making to keep your daughter safe for the passed week, have gone down the drain because the wedding that was meant to happen in two weeks, the time you were meant to show up, has been changed to tonight” I shout, which makes the queen look over at the king.
“I told you we needed to trust him, because you didn’t listen to me getting our daughter back is gonna be harder than it would have been if you let him be” she says annoyed, finally someone is on my side.
“Don’t argue, what’s done is done, what matters now is how we get Savannah back before they are forced to be married, have you got a new plan?” Ryan, Savannah’s mate asks me.
“Yes I do, have you men stand at the border just before sun down, don’t cross the border” I say looking at the king before continuing “I need someone by the name of Gabbie” I say which makes everyone look towards the girl from before.
“Why do you need me?” She asks in the corner scared.
“Well when a people in our village gets married, the bride has to bring someone she knew from the outside to be her maid of honour, Savannah asked for you and she really does need you, she still hasn’t got her wolf back yet so when we escape she’s going to be in a lot of danger” I say, but she looks down “I can’t be with her until the wedding takes place, I won’t be allowed she needs someone there, Savannah told me you had a fight before she left, but you’re her best friend” I say trying my hardest to convince her, she was silent for a moment before she nods.
“Okay great we have to leave now, now please listen to me this time, do not cross the border we’ll come to you” I say to the king as the guy with my backpack comes back handing it over to me.
“See you in a few hours” I say before I run with Gabbie out the castle.
As we get to the border, I can tell Gabbie is growing nervous about it all, we have to stop where Richard one of the guards who patrol this place was standing with his huge gun.
“Rudy what’s going on man, who’s this?” He asks looking towards Gabbie pulling his notebook out, they always write anyone knew who comes into the village
“This is Gabbie, she’s Savannah’s friend” I say Richard, cuts me off before I could finish.
“Wait don’t tell me, she’s Savannah’s maid of honour” he says I nod smiling “congratulations, being someone’s maid of honour is well a huge honour” he says looking towards me, I laugh too playing along.
“Well we better get going there’s still so much to do” I say pushing Gabbie slightly to walk passed, I just wanted to get her back to Savannah, hopefully she’s okay.
“Of course I don’t wanna keep you waiting any longer, I’ll see you tonight” he says patting me on the back as Gabbie and I walk away.
“Just remember play along, they can’t know we’re actually planning on not getting married” I say as we stop outside the house “alright Savannah’s in there about to get ready, look after her and be careful, I’ll see you in a few hours when it’s all about to go down” I say, she nod not talking much she must be so nervous, like everyone right now.
She walks off into the house as my father calls my name, I take another look at the house before going to my father.
