Rudy’s POV
It was the next morning after I met Savannah, I shoved a smart suit in a bag getting ready to leave to meet Savannah’s parents, to say I was nervous was a huge understatement, I really can’t be caught doing this, even if I am the leader’s son I’ll be punished so hard. I sling the bag on my back leaving my house, it was really early in the morning so no one was around, I walk through the village but I stop when I get to where Savannah was, I look up at her bedroom window. I really need to get her out this place before it changes her, like I’ve seen it do to other people.
My name being called snaps me out my trace, I turn to see my father walking over to me, I remain calm trying to act as normal as I could.
“Where are you off to so early?” He asks, once he stops in front of me oops.
“Well Scott invited me to this work out thing in the town, but it starts really early so I tried to leave early without waking you up, I obviously wasn’t quiet,” I say thinking off the top of my head, I really didn’t think I’d get into this situation.
“It’s good you’re having a break, what if all the princess situation” he sighs crossing his arms looking at Savannah’s window, like I did before.
“You can’t blame Savannah she didn’t know, she’s actually a great person that Max is trying to control, but don’t worry I spoke to her last night” I smile, it was a great way for explaining why I spoke to her last night.
He smiles letting me go I turn and start walking out the village once more, that was so close.
It takes me an hour to finally arrive at the castle, I go behind a corner where I got changed into the smart suit, I start walking over to the very huge gates at the entrance where two guards where standing.
“Do you have permission from the king to enter?” A guard with a huge sword asks, blocking me from getting in the gates
“No but you don’t understand-” I try to say but he cuts me off before I could finish.
“No one is allowed passed without being authorised by the king,” he says standing his ground, not even looking down at me.
“You don’t understand, I know where the princess is that’s why I need to get in to speak to the king,” I say which makes the two guards look at each other, one going off for a second the first on telling me to wait.
After a few minutes, the guard comes back saying I can enter but my bag and I would need to be searched first, I pass my bag over to one guard while the other searches me. When they’re finished they both lead me into the huge castle and up the huge steps, once in it finally hits me at what I’m really about to do, I’m gonna have to tell the king I know where his daughter is, being trapped by my father, I really don’t wanna get punched.
As I walk in I see the king and queen, another man that looked like the queen’s brother and a guy around my age standing waiting for me.
“The guards say you know where my daughter is?” The king says just getting right into, but I do understand why.
“That corrects sir, I spoke with her last night,” I say standing straight up trying to act as respectful as I could.
“Is she okay?” Was the first thing that came out the queen’s worried mouth l.
“She’s fine, she just really wants to get back here,” I say looking down, I remember seeing her face when I told her she couldn’t leave.
“How do we know you’re not lying?” the queen’s brother asks, which was a question I already anticipated would be asked.
“If he is lying, I’ll beat the crap out of him,” the young guy says growling slightly.
“Ryan that’s not helping,” the king says letting me speak, but I pull my phone out playing the message.
“Hey guys it’s me, please trust this guy he’s my only way of making it out of here alive, Max from school tricked me into coming here not telling me once I arrived I couldn’t leave, just do whatever this guy says, I really don’t wanna be here anymore love you all bye,” Savannah’s voice says through the phone, once it was finished I put the phone back in my pocket.
The queen had tears in her eyes while the young guy walked around his hand on his chin, he looked so stressed, I wonder what he is to Savannah.
“What’s your name son?” The king asks with soft eyes, actually being nice.
“Rudy Johnson,” I say which makes them look up at me shocked “yes my father is the guy not letting Savannah leave, that’s why I know I need to get her out of there cause I know what he’s like,” I say putting my head down.
“Rudy please tell me you’re keeping her safe” the queen says, standing slightly.
“She’s got a cut on her face when she heard she couldn’t leave she tried to run, but right near the edge they’ve got these ropes that you can’t see which trips you up and she smashed her head but she’s okay,” I say, this was when the Ryan dude looks up towards me.
“That’s when she mind linked me help but she suddenly went and I couldn’t connect with her after that,” he says then it clicks in my head, he’s her mate but that’s really not a good thing.
“You’ve marked her? ” I ask picking up my bag knowing I have to get back to her as soon as I can “I have to leave now before anyone wakes up, if they see the mark they’re gonna give her something that makes her wolf go into a coma state, which will turn her into a human until she can get the antidote,” I say which makes Ryan look terrified
“You can’t follow me or they’ll hurt Savannah when they see you, I’ll get in contact with you to tell you the details,” I say running out the room and the whole castle, shifting into my wolf once I got outside I have to get there as fast as I can.
Within minutes I was in the village running through just wearing my shorts as I ripped my suit when I shifted, my father was walking out Savannah with the villages doctor.
“Is Savannah okay?” is the first thing I say as I run to him outside the house.
“Savannah is fine you can see her if you want” he smiles, I don’t think twice about pushing Max out the way running up to her bedroom, where she was laying on her bed.
“Are you okay?” I ask she looked really sleepy but she tried to sit up, where she falls into my lap I hold her up so I could see her face.
“They made me drink something, now my wolf won’t talk to me,” she says sadly, I hold her tightly they gave her the antidote, I was too late.
I hold her for a while, this is gonna be a lot harder than I thought.
