A little while later my parents walk through the door, followed by Ryan and Jessie, I had calmed down a little but I knew if I saw her even now, I wouldn’t even think twice about attacking her.
“What happened?” My mother asks running over to me checking my face, but when she looks down at my hands she gets tears in her eyes “look at your hands” she says, I was hitting her so hard my hands were all cut up and bloody, I just sat there staring at the wall trying to keep my anger at bay.
“Welcome your majesty’s yes Savannah, Justin and another girl got into a fight in the middle of a lesson,” the headteacher tells them, as Ryan walks over taking my hand in his looking over my cuts. “may one of you explain what happened? ” he asks towards Justin and I, it was obvious to everyone that I wasn’t gonna speak.
“This Gabbie girl that Savannah is friends with, starts to hurt people as soon as we made it to school, she was trying to make Savannah do the same, so I step in where she proceeds to attack me causing Savannah to attack her” Justin says which makes the head look at me dead in the eye, yep we’ve been here before.
“Well Savannah, this isn’t the first time we’re here is it, but normally it’s you and Gabbie fighting other people, not each other,” he says which makes me laugh and nod he was right “I really thought you would have turned a corner and put all the fighting thing behind you, but I guess I was wrong,” he says sounding very disappointed, but before I could speak the door opens and in walks Gabbie parents, very angrily.
“Look what she’s done to our daughter,” he says as Gabbie walks through the door her face really messed up, in seconds I was up heading towards her but Ryan holds me back.
“I knew from the start that she wouldn’t change, look even after everything she’s still the same person” her mother shouts towards me “oh you didn’t know, she’s been kicked out for 3 schools before this for fighting and every time she’s dragged our daughter with her,” she shouts, towards my parents.
“Savannah calm down” Ryan kept saying to me because he was still holding me back from attacking her.
“How many times was that your daughter that started it,” a woman’s voice says which makes me freeze it can’t be, Ryan’s parents walk into the room, I was in pure shock.
“Savannah this is not how you act,” she says, walking over to me standing right in front of me looking me in the eyes “now you need to calm down so we can talk this over, we’re here now, we can sort it all out,” she says with a little smile, I look at her for a second before nodding smiling back standing up straight, Ryan letting go of me.
Ryan’s parents walk over and sit on the other seats, as a habit I go and stand next to Ryan’s father’s seat m, with my head down.
“Now that everyone is calm we can talk it over, obviously something changed back there because these two have fought many people, but together not each other,” Ryan’s mother says but she stands walking to Gabbie’s parents “now how about you stop pointing fingers at my daughter, and start asking yours the truth,” she says getting into their faces, I smirk but Ryan’s dad gives me a look, I roll my eyes but the smile didn’t leave my lips.
Gabbie’s parents end up sitting down on the chairs, as Ryan’s mum walks back over to us but stands directly in front of me looking in the eyes.
“Now Savannah, I need you to tell me the truth, who was the one that threw the first punch in the fight?” She asks looking me in the eyes holding my hands in hers, I missed her.
“Gabbie punched Justin so I attacked her,” I say plain and simple, there was no point in lying she can always see right through the lies.
“I should have known you’d be the one to start the fight, that girl is so loyal she would take a bullet for anyone she cares about, even you” she shouts towards Gabbie but then turns to the head who just sat in his seat not surprised on what happened, this isn’t the first time she’s done this “my daughter didn’t start the fight so she shouldn’t get a worse punishment than who started it, we’re taking her home now, you can discuss her punishment tomorrow while you deal with the fight starter,” she says picking her bag up, holding my hand and walking us out the room leaving Gabbie and her family alone in the room with the head.
We didn’t stop until we were fully out the school building where we stop and Ryan’s mum wraps me in a hug, I hug back not realising how much I actually missed her until this moment.
“I’ve missed you so much,” she says holding me tightly, Ryan’s dad comes over joining the hug saying how much he’s missed me too, his mum pulls away putting her hands on my shoulders tears rolling down her face.
“Now Savannah, you really can’t be acting like this,” she says but with a small smile on her face, I knew she didn’t mean what she was saying.
“Spare me the lecture, we’ve brought you up better than this,” I say smiling too, Ryan walks over his dad wrapping him in a strong hug, wow we are hugging each other a lot, normally after this I’ll be getting a lecture in the car the whole way home and probably until dinner.
Ryan pulls away standing next to me, he had a few tears too I kept mine back I can’t show that I’ve missed them, my real parents were standing right there.
“It still amazes me how we never picked up you two being mates when you were growing up, looking back now it was obvious,” she says wiping a few of her tears away smiling at us, Ryan wraps his arm around my shoulders.
A few guards make their way over to us, I knew it was time they had to leave again, Ryan also picking up on the fact walked over blocking the guards from reaching them.
“They’re my parents, you aren’t taking them away again,” he says I take a look at my parents whose eyes didn’t leave mine, I knew what I had to say.
“Ryan move out the way, the guards are gonna be able to take them even if you try to stop them,” I say he quickly turns to look at me shocked, hurt and annoyed all mixed into one.
“How can you say that! My mum has just got you out of trouble, oh and you might be forgetting the fact that they have raised you up until now” he says clearing annoyed that I’m not fighting too.
“Yes I know that and of course I’m gonna be standing with them and you, when they have to go to court, this isn’t gonna help we just have to wait and help on the side,” I say he looks at me then at his parents “you need to move Ryan, before more guards show up and move you, show everyone that you’re gonna be by your parent’s side but in a good way,” I say walking so I was standing in front of him holding his hands.
“Alone you can win a few battles, but together, we can win the wars and that’s all that matters, just move Ryan please” I whisper, so no one else could hear. He looks me in the eyes tears rolling down his cheeks still but he nods letting me guide him aside.
I wrap him in a hug facing him the other way, so he couldn’t see his parents being taken away, he cries on my shoulder as I watch his parents being taken away.
