Sunny’s POV
“Hey nerdy, I’ll be just away for three days, okay? So don’t you dare do some stupid things that would affect me,” said Damon before he parked his car in front of our university’s entrance gate.
“I understand, your highness. You can even take your time and spend a year there if you want.” I said while fixing my glasses.
He frowned at me. “I won’t spend a year there. You know how much I miss pissing you off when you’re not around.”
“Whatever,” I said as I held his car’s door but then he suddenly grabbed my hand and made me look at him. I was surprised when I saw a flash from his phone. “W-What the hell are you doing? Did you just take a photo of me?”
“Uh-huh. Making sure I have something to use if ever a ghost sneaks into my room there. You know how afraid they get whenever they see your face.”
“Well then,” I reached for my phone inside my bag and took a photo of him too. “Now we’re quits. I would use it if someone tries to do anything bad to me. For sure they’ll immediately run away once I show them this.”
He smiled. “For sure they’ll just fall in love with me.”
“Bye, Mr. Furlord!” I said as I stepped out of his car.
“Bye, babe! Don’t miss me too soon!”

Good thing my headache would be lessened since that dude will be away for three days. Finally, some peace of mind.
“Was that Damon? The one who send you here?”
Speaking of peace of mind. There goes another witch in my life. Urgh, why do devils keep on bugging me?
“Yeah, that’s him,” I replied without looking at Kayla.
“What did he say?”
“He said he’s going to be away for three days.”
“Oh, really?”
I didn’t answer her anymore. I just continue walking towards our building when she suddenly pulled my hair which caused me to groan in pain. “Ah!”
“We’re not done yet, Nerd.”
“I still have classes, okay? Just let me have it until the lunch break starts. I need to pass this semester.”
“And do you think I care? Come with us or I’ll surely tell everyone about that superstar’s biggest secret?!”
Damn this life.
“What do you want me to do this time?” I asked when we finally reached the rooftop.
Kayla sat on a bench together with her friends as they looked at me with their big eyes full of glittery eye shadows and thick eyeliner. “We’re actually bored. Can you sing for us?”
“W-What?”
“Sing for us.” She repeated.
“I-I don’t know how to sing.”
“We don’t care. Just sing!”
I heaved a sigh. This woman really uses me to be entertained. Just wait, you witch. I will definitely erase that makeup on your face once I had the chance to. I opened my mouth and started to sing Elvis Presley’s Can’t help falling in love song. As soon as they heard me sing, they started laughing. “Hahaha! She’s really bad at singing!”
“You’re right, Kayla! Hahahahaha! Her voice could already destroy a house!” said one of her friends that looks like an octopus because of how her lips look bloated.
I stopped singing. “Can I go now?”
“Who told you you can go now? I didn’t say anything yet, right?”
“But—
“Now, I want you to call Jared Knight and ask him to go here.”
I looked at Kayla. “Call Jared? W-What do you want me to do with him?”
“I want you to kiss him in front of us,” she said while smiling like a devil.
“What?! Are you insane?!”
“Insane? You’re the one who’s insane here, nerd. Thinking that Damon would really fall in love with someone like you? You’re really insane!”
I clenched my jaw. “Are you dumb? How many times do I have to tell you that I’m not the one who asked him to have me as a girlfriend! And even if I try to break up with him, for sure he won’t agree!”
“That’s how high your confidence, huh? Do you think you’re that beautiful, huh?!!!”
“Then tell him to break up with me! That’s what I actually want in the first place!”
Kayla’s palm landed on my right cheek. It was so hard that it made a loud sound and caused bleeding on the side of my lips. “You want to break up with Damon? How dare you say that?!! How dare a mere nerd like you say that to my Damon!!” she slapped my other cheek.
I was about to punch her on her face but her two other friends grabbed both of my hands, leaving no choice but to just standstill. “You even tried fighting me back, huh? Can you fight me now, nerd?! You can fight me now?!”
“Please, stop this now. I will ask Damon to break up with me as soon as he comes home. I will do it, just please stop bugging me and my friends already.” I mumbled.
“And you’re thinking that I’ll believe you?”
“You can even watch me while I’m doing that. I will break up with him in front of you.”
She slapped my face once again, and this time, I already tasted the blood on my lips. “Nerds like you really pisses me off!!!”
She was about to slap me again but then—
“Let go of her!”
We were all surprised when someone suddenly yelled. Kayla’s eyes widened, and she wasn’t able to slap me again. The other girls let go of me and I quickly turned around only to see Jared standing by the entrance of the rooftop. “J-Jared.”
“What did you to Sunny?! Why did you hurt her, huh?!”
“J-Jared don’t go here…” I mumbled.
Kayla suddenly spoke. “Here comes the real savior. For sure the two of you planned on having Damon as this nerd’s boyfriend just so you can take revenge on him, right?!”
“I knew it, you are the ones who’s been bullying Sunny. Why do you keep on bugging her? It’s not even her fault that Damon became her boyfriend. If you want to complain, then say it to that man’s face!” Jared yelled. He walked towards me and grabbed my hand. “Let’s go now, Sunny.”
“Go on! Go on and take that nerd with you. Do that and I will surely tell the whole university about your real identity!” Kayla said.
Jared looked at her. He was still holding my hand. “Go on. I don’t care. Tell it to everyone you know until you become satisfied. You should just always remember that the next time you lay your hands to Sunny again, you will surely regret it.”
