Sunny’s POV
“What are you planning to buy for Henry?” I asked Mira as we walked inside the mall. She was clinging her hands around my arms, being as clingy as a koala again.
She looked around the mall, “Actually, I don’t have any idea yet. What if I just buy him a jacket? What do you think?”
“Yeah, you can do that. By the way, don’t you want to just maybe… knit a sweater for him?”
“Knit a sweater? Oh, yes! I can buy him knitted sweaters!”
“No, not buy, I mean, you yourself could knit a sweater for him.”
She looked at me with widened eyes, as if I said something crazy, “Sunny, why would I even bother to knit a sweater for him when I can just buy them?”
I nodded, “Well, you got a point. Right, you can just buy them.”
“Right! Now we should find a boutique for that!”
We started walking until we finally found a boutique. Mira dragged me inside like a kid. Sometimes it really confuses me if I’m really the youngest between the two of us. My older sister often acts so childish than me.
“This one, Sunny, for sure Henry would love it because it’s his favorite color!” Mira said, showing me a red knitted sweater with a knitted figure of bear on its center.
“Mira, Henry’s favorite color is blue, not red.” I said.
“O-Oh, really? I thought it’s red, hahaha! Alright, let’s just choose color blue!”
After looking so hard for a blue sweater, we found nothing, and we ended up buying a pink one instead since Mira said that it would just be okay with Henry. “By The way, Sunsun, how about you, what are you planning to give to him?”
“H-Huh? M-Me?”
“Uh-huh.”
I sipped some of my lemon tea, “Well…err…I think I’ll just knit gloves for him since he really likes them.”
“Really? That’s cool! Don’t forget to knit some for Damon too, okay?”
“What? And why would I even bother myself to knit something for that moron?”
Mira looked at me skeptically, “Did you just call your boyfriend a moron?”
“N-No, I mean, Damon doesn’t like knitted gloves at all. That dude doesn’t enjoy covering his hands anyway.”
“But, won’t he get jealous if he finds out that you knitted something for some other guy but nothing for him?”
I waved my hands, “No, Demon—I mean Damon doesn’t know the word jealous. He’s so over-confident, he’s got so much air in his head that he almost looks like Megamind.” I said nonchalantly. Mira furrowed her brows then she just started laughing, “You are crazy, sunsun! Your relationship looks really fun!”
Yeah right, so fun that we always want to kill each other.
After eating and buying everything that my clingy sister wants, we headed to a craft store to buy some tools for the gloves that I will be knitting for Henry. “I’ll just wait for you here, Sunsun, okay?” Mira said as she sat on a bench near the entrance of the store.
“Okay.”
I took a small basket with me as I started walking inside the store. There were too many yarns with a variety of colors of course and I chose the color blue, yellow, pink, and black. Mom was actually the one who taught me how to knit gloves since she used to knit sweaters, scarves and dresses for me since she wouldn’t buy me new dresses. I always ask her why I couldn’t get new branded clothes like my older sister and she always tell me that it’s because I am special that’s why she just made me clothes by herself. I was so happy when I heard that, thinking that I’m the most favored daughter when they were just saving money. I really love my parents.
“$50 ma’am.” Said the cashier.
I just paid all the things that I bought then I finally walked outside. I’m so excited to knit today, at least there’s no class, I’m also done with my drafts, I already emailed Seb and most of all, I don’t have to spend my entire day with that asshole! What a great day to just lie in bed and think about Henry!
“Mira, let’s—
“Hi babe!”
My eyes widened when I saw Damon sitting next to Mira while smiling at me like a total idiot. “W-What the… What are you doing here?!”
“I just saw him passing by, I called him and told him that you’re here too.” Mira said.
“Hi babe, did you miss me?”
I rolled my eyes at him. Miss your ass. Why is this fool even here?
“Why don’t we walk around the mall together? I mean, the three of us?” Mira suddenly asked.
“N-No—
“Sure! I actually want to walk around here too.” The asshole said and so I widened my eyes at him but he just ignored me and pretended he didn’t see anything. “Let me carry those paper bags, Eris.” He said then took the paper bags from my sister.
I had no choice but to follow them while mumbling curses for Damon. He really loves running my day.
“By the way, what are you guys doing there in the craft store?” he asked while we were walking.
“Sunny bought some materials for the knitted gloves that he’ll be giving to Henry.” Mira replied. Damon then glanced at me so I averted my gaze. “You know how to knit gloves?”
“Yes, she’s really good at doing domestic works and knitting is her greatest hobby aside from writing.”
Damon nodded, “Oh, really? Then why don’t you just knit a bonnet for me, babe?”
“Sorry, I just bought enough materials for Henry’s gloves, maybe next time,” I said, indirectly mocking him. He glared at me then he walked towards me, putting his arm around my shoulders. “You know what, you really are so cute, Babe! I know you’d find a way to knit a bonnet for me too, right?”
“I said n—
“Make one for me or you’ll pay me?” he whispered.
I was about to push him away and punch him on his face, but then I saw Mira looking at us so admiringly.
“O-Okay… that would be fine with me.”
“Really? Oh, you really are so sweet!”
I’ll make sure to give him the ugliest knitted bonnet in the world.
