Chapter 1152: Are you okay?

Book:Married To The Most Powerful Man Published:2024-5-28

-Are you at Jack’s uncle’s house?
Brisa didn’t know who Jack’s uncle was, but she was a smart woman. She had a vague answer in mind, combining recent information and her daughter’s tone when she spoke, but she wasn’t sure it was correct. Then Brisa asked:
-So you’re here tonight?
-Mom, stop asking me, I have chaos in my head right now, I’ll explain tomorrow when I get back.
Brisa loved her daughter very much and was about to say yes when she heard her husband say:
-Yanis, get some rest. If you get into trouble or difficulties, you must tell us in time and never be afraid, ok?
-Good.
Once the call was over, Brisa stared at Mateo and said:
-Why did you tell him yes before I said anything? Do you know who Jack’s uncle is? Although Jack is said to be close to us, none of us know what kind of person Jack’s uncle is.
But Mateo replied seriously:
-I’m sure Jack’s uncle is a good person and Jack is an educated boy, so his family must also be good people. But, above all, our daughter believes in him, so I trust this man too.
Her words are true: Yanis went out with Gaitan and the couple was initially worried that their daughter told them she was fine because she was threatened, so they hit on her several times, but Yanis denied it. Later Yanis said that Gaitan was in the hospital while she was at Uncle Jack’s house. Since she was willing to stay there alone and he was Jack’s uncle, Yanis’ parents stopped worrying about her anymore.

When Yanis ended the call, she realized that her phone was about to run out of battery. She hadn’t charged her cell phone all day and her mother had called her incessantly during the night, which was why she was in her current state. But fortunately the cell phone was still on for now.
After talking to his family, Yanis put his phone away and looked around. He had been scared before, but what had just happened was so unreal that he was overcome with fear inside.
Yanis moved forward slowly, the sneakers he wore were too big for him to control when he walked, making a loud noise that sounded high-pitched in the quiet night. Yanis curled his toes to make less noise as he walked.
Yanis pushed open the door to his room and found the hallway light on, but no one was there. She didn’t know where Zain was and didn’t want to be left alone. So, even though Yanis was scared, she cautiously went to look for Zain.
When Yanis reached the corner of the hallway, a white cat suddenly jumped out of the corner. The sudden appearance of the cat startled her and she took several steps backward. But because of the oversized slippers, she was clumsy to dodge and fell to the floor.
Yanis’ hair stood on end and the beating of her heart was the only thing that could be heard in the silence of the night. At the same time, a hand suddenly grabbed Yanis’ arm and she screamed in shock. As Yanis tried to struggle, she heard a familiar voice:
-It’s me.
It was Zain’s voice, which immediately reassured Yanis, who did not hesitate to turn around immediately and hug Zain tightly, resting her face against his chest, not wanting to leave.
Zain did not react when Yanis hugged him. But he felt Yanis’ soft cheek hit his chest as if hitting his heart, and his heart felt as if it had met buttered bread and turned fluffy and sweet. But Zain soon realized that Yanis was trembling in his arms, as if in shock, and frowning, Zain slipped his arm around Yanis’ shoulders and looked around the corner and said:
-Coco, why are you staying up in the middle of the night and running out to scare people?
Coco, a ragdoll cat, cocked her head to one side and purred softly after being scolded by Zain, as if she could understand human words.
-Mew,” Yanis heard the cat’s purr as if it were an apology.
Yanis shrank into Zain’s embrace and froze for a moment, slowly loosening her grip on Zain’s arms before leaning out of his arms and looking towards the source of the sound, thinking:
“Is the white shadow that just ran past his eyes actually this cat?”
Coco, the kitten, sat in the corner looking at Yanis, blinked and purred again, as if to greet Yanis.
At that moment Yanis was so frightened that she saw only a white shadow rushing at her and she was so frightened that she could not control herself and fell on the cold floor. And now Zain told her that the culprit was a cat.
Yanis felt a little embarrassed because the kitty in front of her not only didn’t look scary, but was very cute.
-Normally this cat is very well behaved and probably sensed that there was a stranger in the house tonight, so she came out to have a look around. are you okay?
Yanis’ fall was quite painful, but in front of Zain, Yanis was afraid to tell the truth, so he shook his head and looked at the cat:
-Coco?
-Mew? -the kitten cocked her head as if to say, “Are you calling me?”
Yanis relaxed at the kitten’s tenderness and asked:
-Can I pet her?
-Yes, Coco is a very nice and cuddly kitty.
So Yanis slowly approached Coco, knelt down and gently stroked her round head. The long-haired cat felt so good to the touch, as if she was touching a marshmallow, that Yanis couldn’t resist petting her some more.
Coco was so comfortable that she began to purr quietly.
Yanis always liked small animals, and the cats that Alice and Jack took in downstairs in their neighborhood at the time were vulgar strays, and Yanis was especially kind to them. But later, when he went abroad, he gave them all to colleagues for adoption. Only the mother cat stayed with the company, but this one was very well behaved and never strayed away, and Alice took her back to the villa after she returned.
Since then, Yanis never had a pet again. I never thought that Zain had a kitten.
Because Zain didn’t look like someone who had a pet.
-Meow! -just then, Coco suddenly stretched out his paws towards Yanis, as if he wanted the girl to hug him.
