Chapter 39

Book:Sealed Sex With Billionaire Published:2024-5-1

Calvin didn’t get back to me until the afternoon, was he really mad?
I couldn’t help but send him a message,
“I want to ask you something.”
“Huh?” Cavin replied in seconds.
It seems he’s not pissed anymore or he wouldn’t be texting me back. So I called him.
“Hey, this, HR contacted me today and told me to go back to work and give myself a raise.”
“Give him a tenfold raise or you’re not going back.” Said Calvin gruffly.
“Pissed off? Tenfold!” That was too much of an exaggeration.
“You want to know how much Sky Group paid me?” Calvin laughed when he heard my shocked voice.
“Yes!” I was super curious.
“I don’t want money, I want half of Sky Group’s equity.” Said Calvin.
I was stunned, this man is truly amazing.
“Relax, my money is yours.” Said Calvin again.
“No, I earn it myself!” I don’t want his money. And I dare not listen to his advice,
“I’m not a manager, ten times the salary is too much.”
“How much do you think you can handle?” asks Calvin again.
“I don’t know,” I think, “it’s better to work hard.
After hanging up the phone, I continue talking to my mother,
“Alexia, you’re already living with Calvin, aren’t you?” Florence Brown stared at me and couldn’t help but say what she had observed over the past few days.
“Mom, I’m not living with him!” I waved it off unconsciously to make that clear and looked at my mother worriedly.
Florence Brown smiled , “Alexia, don’t look at me like that. Your mother is not such an unenlightened person. It is good to live with people who like each other. Mom won’t mind.”
I tried to explain, but … Forget it, sooner or later my mom will figure it out.
“Mom, I’m going back to work next week. I guess I can’t come here often.” I held Florence Brown ‘s hand .
“Well, women have to have their own careers and can’t just cling to men. It’s good that you’re going back to work. You don’t have to worry about that!” Mom nodded and expressed her support.
A few days later, I returned to the Sky group.
“Hey, isn’t that Alexia? Didn’t she quit? Why is she back?”
As soon as I got off the elevator and arrived at the department, I heard someone talking behind me.
“Yeah, I heard that all the resignations were turned in. Did she come back to pack her things?” someone said.
I’m not very familiar with them, so I don’t pay much attention to what they say.
When I got back to my seat, I noticed that someone had taken my seat.
“Alexia, I forgot to tell you. After you turned in the resignation report, the manager arranged for other colleagues to take over your work. The rest of your stuff is with me.” Said the colleague to me.
“Okay, I understand.” I wasn’t surprised. Angle Johnson hated me so much and would surely find someone to replace me, but my job was being replaced. What am I doing here anyway? And when it’s time for work, everyone has a job to do, so it’s inappropriate for me to stand.
“You quit your job, what are you doing here? You’re so shameless!” Angle Johnson was very angry when she saw me came back to work, she would definitely find other ways to drive me away.
“Angle Johnson, you shut up! Who gave you the power to behave like this here, do you really think you own Sky Group?” It was the CEO .
“Uncle” Angle Johnson was very afraid of the CEO . She didn’t dare to say anything when she saw him .
“Apologize to Alexia!” the CEO hissed .
“I won’t! Why should I apologize to her!” Asking her to bow down in front of so many people was certainly not something she would do .
“If you don’t apologize, you can quit!” The manager is also very angry. He can’t insult me! After he spoke, he stared at Angle for a long time and then left.
“I’m going to the bathroom.” Because the general manager insulted Angle because of me, everyone stared at me and Angle with strange eyes. Angle wasn’t mad and ran back to the office, and I had nothing to do, so I planned to go to the bathroom to escape.
My phone rang and it was Calvin. I ran into the restroom and locked the door.
“At work?” asked Calvin.
“Yeah, right here.” I heard Calvin’s voice a little tired, so I asked, “Are you sleeping?”
“No, I got up early. I drank too much last night and had a headache.” Calvin rubbed his forehead, his voice hoarse.
“Well, take a break.” I heard his hoarse voice, and it hurt a little.
“Yeah, I know, I’ll be careful!” Calvin smiled.
I didn’t want to talk to him too long in the company, so I quickly changed the subject, “I just got back from work, there’s a lot to do, no more chit-chat, bye.”
“Well, I have a few more days to work here, I’ll head back as soon as I can,” Calvin said quietly.
“It’s okay, you’re busy with yourself, it doesn’t matter if you don’t come back!” After I finished speaking, I realized I had said something wrong. This is his home. Where will he go if he doesn’t come back? I quickly added, “I mean, your business is more important. It doesn’t matter if you’re late!”
“Yeah.” Calvin said goodbye and hung up.
I stared at the phone, thinking that it was a little strange that Calvin was away on business these days.
When I returned to the office, the assistant manager had already arranged everything. I sat back down in my seat and went to work the first day without doing much. That day I got off work on time and took the subway straight to the hospital.
The next 3 days I had off, went to the hospital in the evening after work and went home at 8. I had a very boring life, and Calvin didn’t contact me for those three days. It wasn’t until noon today that he called me and said he was at the front desk, but without saying a few words, someone came to talk to him and the phone was hung up again.
I stared at the screen of the phone, and a feeling of disappointment spread through my heart. What I just heard was a woman’s voice. He must have a female companion for this kind of banquet, so what’s strange about having a woman with him?
But why is he so panicked?
That day, after I got home from work at night, I was kissed as soon as I got into Abel’s car. It was Calvin. He came back.
I think I must be crazy, and I really like this feeling.
Calvin kissed deeper and deeper, and he could feel that I wasn’t resisting, but meeting him, which excited him.
When the kiss was over, I realized that I was actually holding onto Calvin’s neck with my hands, I wanted to shyly push him away.
Calvin gave me no such chance. He hugged me tightly and continued to kiss my ear, “You miss me too, don’t you?”
“No!” I didn’t want to admit it.
“Lie!” Calvin couldn’t help but kiss me again.
This time, I wasn’t cooperating with him. Panicking, I turned away, covered my mouth, and said, “Abel’s here!”
“Didn’t you say you’d be back in two days?” I changed the subject.
“Work ended early, so I came back because I wanted to surprise you!” said Calvin with a smile.
“Why are you treating me so well?” His gentleness seemed to get me a little addicted.
“Because you’re the person I’ve been looking for.” Calvin grabbed my hand and said seriously.
“Am I really the person you’ve been looking for?” I was taken aback.
“Hmm!” Said Calvin firmly.
“Why are you looking for me? When was that picture taken?” I was getting more and more confused.
“You want to know?”
“Of course!” I had been looking forward to this moment for a long time.
Calvin said nothing, but kissed me passionately.
“Do you want to know?” Calvin looked down at my red face.
“Hmm.” I nodded, if I didn’t want to know I would just push him away.
Calvin stroked my cheek lightly and the corners of his mouth curled slightly, “Say you love me and I’ll tell you!”
I’m helpless, I know he’s not going to talk that easily.
“Do you love me?” I looked into Calvin’s eyes and asked. I wasn’t expecting Calvin’s answer at all, I just thought it was funny.
“Yes!”, Calvin admitted directly.
I was stunned and couldn’t tell what I was thinking at that moment.
What had he said? He had actually said that he loved me?
“You, are you kidding me? ” I smiled awkwardly and turned my head to look out the window.
“I fell in love with you six years ago. After so many years, I looked in many places and finally found you. Do you think I’m giving up now?” Calvin lowered his head, leaned down to my ear and said softly.
I twitched the corners of my mouth, “But I really have no impression of you!”
“I know!” Calvin wasn’t fazed, he hugged me tightly, “It’s normal to not have an impression!”
“What do you mean?” The more I thought about it, the more wrong it was, “It’s not?”
Hearing this, Calvin hesitated to speak to me and suddenly felt my hand on his face.
“What are you doing?” asked Calvin.
“Is your face a fake?” I thought of that possibility, but this face is so beautiful.
“Are you an idiot?” Calvin burst out laughing.
“We’re talking serious stuff here!”
“I know,” I said nodding and very serious, “so I’m changing the subject, who told you not to tell me the truth!”
We drove home, the wine on the coffee table caught Calvin’s attention, especially with a note on one of the bottles, Auntie, don’t touch my wine!
Calvin’s eyelids began to twitch again. “How much have you been drinking lately?”
“Not much, not much!” I thought he was reluctant, “I have a sip at night before bed, not otherwise.”
Calvin wouldn’t let me finish, so he stubbornly replied, “Otherwise you don’t go to sleep missing me?”
“Go away, I didn’t miss you!” I didn’t fall into his trap.
“You really didn’t miss me?” Calvin squeezed my chin, and he smiled unkindly. “Then why were you so passionate when I kissed you earlier?”
“You still haven’t answered my question!” I turned my head so he couldn’t see my embarrassed expression.
“What’s the problem? My face? You want me to prove it to you with pictures from my childhood?” Calvin put his arms around me.
