MY EYES WIDENED at what he did. My heart was freezing like I’m at the middle of the sea and my knees tremble like a child.
I quickly glanced at Rexon, with arms folded tightly across his broad chest. The left side of his thin lip tugged upwards, creating a sly smirk on his numb face.
“Yeah, I’ll see you tomorrow,” I muttered.
He smiled slightly at me then turned to Rexon to pat him on the shoulder.
“I’ll go ahead, Mr. Superstar,” he teasing again. I haven’t seen the reaction he gave to Rexon because he’s turned his back on me. It was only when I shrugged and shook my head that I noticed.
Rexon faces was unexplainable. I also don’t know how to start talking now. I feel like we’re as closed as strangers since Nichola’s car was able to move away.
“So whats up?!” I smile widely at him to put aside the awkwardness between us.
But he didn’t answer. Instead he put on his helmet again and I immediately backed away when he got on his motorbike. I bit my lip hard when he turned on the engine and made a slight revolution.
“Hop in…” he said after he handed me a red helmet. I reluctantly took and stared into its eyes… As we staring back at each other feels like I’m loosing out of control.
I no longer thought because there was no place in my heart for doubt. I quickly sat down behind him, but when I clung to him there I felt embarrassment of my action.
“We’re almost naked in bed last time, So what is holding you back now?” His voice wears a knife in my heart glancing at me from the side mirror.
I quickly avoided looking at him well.
I was wearing the helmet he gave me otherwise he might have seen how I blushed because of what he said.
He also grabbed my two hands to hug his waist tight. I could do nothing but lean on his wide back.
When he started the engine a shut my eyes because of its speed. It was as if the police were chasing us.
Moments later we entered the parking lot of s well known Super Mall. Surprisingly, I didn’t ask any more questions.
He took off his helmet before he took his bull cap.
“Here is yours.” He gave me a rex bull cap.
I almost fainted when he approached me to put my bull cap on.
“For your protection. I don’t want you to get confused when someone knows me.” He gentle tapped by head and show of his tiny smile.
“W-what are we doing here?” I couldn’t help but ask.
“My friend gave me free movie tickets. So, I decided to invite you to watch the movie. Isn’t it a good idea?” He bent slightly to peek at my hidden face.
I didn’t answer, I also quickly avoided looking at him. Damn it! Why are you so damn speechless every time you encountered him, Cherry?
I had to fill my chest with air before I could speak.
“B-why me? Why not Lara?” I bit my lower lip and wait for his to answer.
“Because when I’m with you, I’m different. I can be whoever I want to be. I don’t have to pretend everything is okay, when it’s really not. You’re easy to talk to, and you’re a good listener,” he said lowly.
I bent down slightly and struggled to resist the strong heartbeat.
I don’t either, I don’t feel hurt and alone when I’m with him. Instead, I feel safe and secure.
“Let’s go inside!” He gently held my hand as we entered the Mall. We entered quickly without anyone knowing Rexon.
I was holding the popcorn we bought earlier in my right hand but I couldn’t swallow it because of the tension that enveloped me. How come Rexon doesn’t seem to want to take his hand off my shoulder. He almost leaned his head on my shoulder while enjoying the watch.
“Hey, are you alright?” he whispered. His hot breath hit my cheek and made me close my eyes.
“Yeah, I’m okay,” I whispered back enough for him to be heard.
He did take popcorn and bring it to my mouth. I quickly leaned back in my chair because of the suddenness.
“Come on, lets make this date a remarkable one.” Then he smiled at me as if my heart was pounding. I blinked before my brain could process what he said.
He twitching is brwoseven while waiting for me to bite.
“Rex, we’re not dating, we’re actually watching movie and that’s all.” I tried to avoid the popcorn he was holding.
Instead of answering, he bent down to bring his face closer to mine.
“What would you preferred then? A friendly date, rather?”
Yeah, It’s better we called it a friendly date… But I didn’t say anything instead I grabbed the Popcorn but he quickly pulled his hand away so I couldn’t reach it.
I glared at him because he made him laugh a little. I drew out a deep breath and shaking my head.
“One more try…” He moved a little closer to me and give the popcorn again but I avoided.
“I don’t want to,” I replied that I was forced to understand the show but he still did not remove the hand in front of my mouth.
I rolled my eyes to face him. “Alright!”
For fear of making a noise. I do what he wanted. I eat the popcorn in front of me but accidentally I suck even his thumb finger because of the dark surroundings.
“Hmm?” His lips twitched and he had an odd sort of spluttering laugh.
I could do nothing but lean back on the chair out of shame.
“That was sweet,” he said while grinning. He lick his thumb finger that I suck earlier. My two cheeks immediately warmed to what he did.
“Rexon!” My voice grew louder so the is someone turned their attention to us. I was immediately nervous because suddenly people around me were whispering.
“Rexon!” A group of women called out our attention.
“Damn it!” He quickly stood up and held my hand at the same time to leave the cinema.
I heard they calling Rexon’s name. I almost fell because of his fast walk. I couldn’t help but laugh when we got out side the cinema.
He quickly pulled me into an arcade games. Not to play but to hide in a photo booth.
I laughed out loud when I leaned against the wall. I was still holding my chest because of the fast heartbeat that happened.
“Look what you’ve done? We’re almost caught!” He was leaning right in front of me, also chasing his breath.
“That was sweet!” I burst into laughter again.
“It’s not funny!” he said while shaking his head.
But I still can’t stop laughing because of what happened and because we only have so little space, our knees are almost touching. I just stopped laughing when ihe bent down to touch the wall by my side.
His eyes were giving me a glare that’s freezing my bone. I can’t help but sigh. My heart starts pounding against my chest. I couldn’t stop laughing because of what he did.
“I really appreciate your company. I can drop the fake smile and put on a real one, because with you I’m different. I’m happy.” He took off the bull cap I was wearing so my hair fell freely on my shoulder.
I bit my lower lip and look away but his finger teases my skin. He also slowly pulled my hair so I couldn’t help but meet his gaze.
“I think, I kinda like you.”
