I CAME OUT of the dressing room wearing a twisted dress and carrying a shoulder bag that I had just bought. I have already received my first salary for this month. I bought only a few jeans, a T-shirt and a dress and set aside the rest for Dad’s food and medicine while the rest I saved in the bank.
“Bye, enjoy your date with Mr. Galvez!” Farrah pointedly chased after me.
I laughed at the answer as I left the dressing room to go to the first floor.
“Ah – Lenny where’s Miss. Cindy?” I asked her secretary.
“Mr. Saavedra picked her up. She just ordered that you and Mr. Galvez have lunch today.” She pointed to the couch where Nicholas was sitting comfortably while watching us.
“S-thank you, Lenny.” I turned around and she just nodded.
I filled my chest with air before facing him and he sat up.
I hesitated to step closer to him out of anxiety.
“So I guess it’s just the two of us having lunch now.” He stood up so I just looked up at him.
He is taller than me, maybe they didn’t get far from Rexon’s height. His firm broad chest define his masculinity. His light brushed-cut Blue-black hair is very admirable. His walnut-dark skin tone that glowed in the sun is even more attention-grabbing.
“Shall we?” He’s giving me a smile that no one can resist.
“S-okay…” There was no reason to refuse so I walked out first.
Because his steps were large, he quickly reached me, where the security guard handed him his key before I opened the front door.
“Thanks,” I said sparingly as I got into his car. We didn’t notice anything in the car while traveling.
I’m uncomfortably sitting at my chair, because of his periodic glance at me. I don’t want to be rude but I don’t want to ask him or know the details of his life. So why do I have to effort in that case?
“They’re right, you’re a silent person. If you don’t tap you won’t speak,” he said.
I looked at him with blush on both cheeks. Damn, I suddenly felt ashamed because of my behavior. I’m usually quiet and I don’t really like attention so I don’t know how to approach him really.
“I’m sorry, I don’t want to not talk to you, I actually–” I suddenly bit my tongue and touched my forehead. Fuck, Cherry! Why don’t you just admit that you don’ t want to talk to him? I restrained myself.
I heard him laughing, while shaking at me. ” I get it, you don’t have to explain,” he said.
I could do nothing but bite my lip hard at the embarrassment I felt. Fortunately, we reached the Restaurant so I could breathe easily.
“I asked Cindy about your project with T-shirts & Glam, I need you at my office tomorrow morning to sign a contract with my company,” he spoke in his low rumble voice.
I barely drank the juice from the glass before I answered. “Sure, Mr. Galvez, I’ll be at your office tomorrow morning.” I smiled timidly.
“Great, I will cancel all my meetings the,” he answer before the goofy smile faded.
My eyes widened. I don’t know if I’m going to speak or just swallow my tongue as he says that directly.
“Get used to it. You’ll always see me and I’m sure it won’t just be our last lunch together.” His glance rip my heart away. He is a very straight-forward person so I can’t keep up with what his trip is like.
I didn’t know if I was full of what we ate because I felt like my stomach was full of air when I swallowed.
“Where is your place? I’ll take you home,” he asked as we crossed the road back to the boutique.
“Please just take me down to the boutique, I still have a job left there.” I rejected.
“You’re the boss.” He just shrugged and focus on the road.
I sighed slightly as I felt my two cheeks heat up at the attention he was giving. My heartbeat never returned.
I lifted my back when I saw the familiar motorbike in front of the Establishment and the man wearing a black leather jacket while wearing a black helmet.
“Nicholas, I’m just fine here, “I said without taking my eyes off the man who seemed to be looking forward to outside the boutique.
“Are you sure?” His question is full of wonder.
“Yeah, see you tomorrow. Thanks for the lunch, I enjoyed it that much,” I answer slowly. I also couldn’t wait for him to park properly because I started to get off.
Although I was still far from the Boutique I didn’t care about the number of people I met as I walked. I knew he had already seen me so we fixed our eyes.
“Hi!” I can’t help but to sound very excited.
He doesn’t take off the helmet he’s wearing because maybe of the crowd around.
“It’s seem you already had your lunch today?” His voice trembling down my knees.
“Y-yeah,” I softly said before averting my gaze..
“With whom?” he asked so I looked up at him again.
“Cherry!” That’s when I turned to the voice that called me.
Nicholas tilted his head at the window of his car. I quickly turned to Rexon without saying a word removing his helmet.
“Oh? Mr. Del’torre!” He seemed shocked ever to see Rexon so he turned off the engine of his car.
I cast spells one after another. I feel like I’m on the edge of the hill. that at any moment I could fall. I also looked around as the people starstruck since they saw Rexon.
Nicholas got out of his car with the shoulder bag I had left so I could breathe more when I looked up at Rexon. His lethal stare felt painful and piercing.
“You forgot your bag at my car.” Nicholas held my hand to hand me my shoulder bag.
“T-thanks,” I nervously said. Glancing slightly at Rexon that I could see the tightness.
“Mr. Del’torre, what are you doing here?” He started with Nicholas who seemed to have no intention of leaving.
“The reason why I came here is non of your business,” he answered without taking his eyes off me. I watched as the whites in his eyes turned a pure black and as if his glare was tearing my heart apart.
Nicholas burst out laughing. It was a cruel mocking laugh that added more tension between the two of them.
“Sounds very intimidating huh?” He even grinned in front of us before we posed in front of him.
There he turned to Nicholas, eye to eye without a word being met by the look of the latter. It seemed that no one wanted to give up any of them which alarmed me so I cleared my throat before speaking.
“Ah, thank you. Sorry, I forgot I’m in a hurry.” I was cut off by the rising tension.
“Go get inside…” Nicholas smiled at me.
“Thanks,” I averted my eyes from Nicholas and caught Rexon’s critical look at me. But I can’t read his mind, he is very dull and unnamed.
“I’ll better go, see you tomorrow! It’s nice to have lunch with you today,” he says. I would have nodded but he stepped forward to give me a sweet kiss on my cheek.
