“I’m jealous but I don’t have the right. I’m jealous because that man can be with you and help you to find the one who made this but I’m still grateful that you asked my help to look and take care of you so, you can still come back.”
“I love you so much that I can’t help but to always check you.”
“Hael said, if I won’t be the man you’re going to choose, he’ll do everything he can just to get you from that man and let you love him but I opposed, because I know, I’ll be the man you’ll be going to choice. If not then, I won’t stop until you choose me.”
“I’m glad that you’re awake now. I pray that you won’t be sleeping that long because I feel this anxieties that it might not gone.”
“I’m so happy that you’re doing well although you still can’t remember me but I’m praying for your happiness.”
“I won’t give way to that guy, no, never! My confidence is fading away but I’m still hopeful.”
“I saw that card, I’m sorry I didn’t gave that directly to you before but I’m happy that you still have it.”
“I thought, you have that card all along but I hope that card will help you to remember me.”
“Nurse Dy had an emergency on something so I’ll be the one who will check on you this whole night. This is my chance to be with you.”
“I’m happy that you can stand-up on your own now. You really work hard for yourself. It also motivates me to do my job as a doctor, too.”
“I’m glad that you can walk a bit now. A progress that I’m looking forward because that only means I’m doing my job right.”
“I’m so happy to see you walking using your walker but it also make me sad that days are getting shorter for me to see you like this and talk to you like this.”
“I miss you, Grace. I miss everything about you. Your smile, your voice, the way you look at me and your love. I won’t be asking for more, just remember me and that’ll be enough for me. More enough for me to endure all pain I felt during your memory lost and those endured pain will fade.”
Her headaches, she heard steps’ coming towards her bed, her sight is blurred but it became clearer. Faces become clearer and all the words that she heard from all the flashed backs that she saw were vividly clear inside her heart.
“Are you okay now?” Nurse Dy asks while helping her to sit on her bed. She felt something on her face. “Please, don’t remove your oxygen yet. Let’s wait for Doctor Jimenez.” Nurse Dy softly said. She looked around; she saw her family looking at her with worried expression. “What time is it?” she asked.
“It’s six in the morning.” Nurse Dy replied. “You’ve been sleeping for one week.”
“One week…” she said.
“How is she?” someone said from the door. “What time did she woke-up?”
“About less than one minute.” Nurse Dy replied.
She looked at the doctor who just came inside her room. She’s staring at him that made her cry. “Are you hurt? What do you feel? Does anything hurt?” Rovi asked simultaneously.
“Nothing.” she said between her sob.
“Nurse Dy, we can now replace her oxygen from the new one.” Rovi said.
After her old oxygen replaced by the new, she can’t help but to cry more. “Does anything hurt?” Nurse Dy whispered. “Let me know.” he added.
“Nothing, I just can’t help it. This overflowing feeling that made all of you worried.” she said.
“It’s okay, rest for a bit and eat afterwards.” Rovi said.
“Everything you said, I heard everything you said before. From the day, I’m admitted here. My head still spinning but I know everything now. Memories are flashing back, faces became clearer and clearer and your words are vivid, it become clearer straight here from my heart. I’m sorry for making you wait this long for me to remember you.” she said.
She saw how shock Rovi was, that she made him speechless until she saw a tear dropped on his eyes. She saw how Rovi wiped it immediately. “I’m sorry. I’m just happy that you remember me. This feeling is really overwhelming that it overflows.”
She smiled at him and held his hand as a way of her comfort and her way of saying, ‘Sorry, I made you wait this long.’
“Wow, Miss Li. Is that a charity work?” said the familiar voice that just came in at her room.
“No.” Miss Li said immediately.
She saw Rovi coming in. “Grace, do you want to know who your sponsor is?” She nodded as a respond because she’s enjoying looking at Miss Li and Hael talking. “Then, Prosecutor Leal provides all the expenses you need.” Rovi said that made her look at Hael.
She saw how stunned Hael when Rovi announced it. She saw him sigh. “I told you not to announce that without my permission but since you said it, Miss Li got her charity salary on that Doctor.” Hael said. He smiled at her. “But I’m still thankful he announced that because I’ll be having a business trip once again and maybe that time, it’ll be more than a year or more.”
They heard some knock on the door. “May I disturb you for a while?” said the doctor wearing eyeglasses.
She saw how Hael stood-up from sitting on the floor. “Oh, so you can’t wait for me, uh…” Hael joke on.
“Yes. It’s about your r—”
