“Do you think she’s with him?”
“Maybe, do you want me to confirm that?”
“You said you’re too busy to see me, how come you’re telling me that?”
“Well, I’m going there for some business. I can sneak and look for her.” he whispered.
He chuckled. “If you can, then do it.” he said between his laughter.
“I have to go now. I’ll contact you when I see her.” he said and end the line.
He was hoping that she’s with him although it hits him into jealously and agony. It’s been three days since he and Hael talked through the phone. He was about to open the door when the door opened. He was stunned when he saw Hael panting. He was pulled by and they walked fast to his occupied room. He saw him locked the door. “What’s the matter with you?” he asked with a clueless expression.
He saw him opens the refrigerator and gets some water and drink. “She’s not with him.” he said while catching his breath.
“What do you mean, Grace wasn’t with him?” he asked with confusion.
“I already asked that guy, he said the last time he was with her was almost twelve weeks ago.” he explained and sat down on the floor.
He can’t believe what he heard. “Hey, I haven’t cleaned the floor, can you stand-up and use the chair.” he said to divert his self.
Instead of standing, he saw him opened his bag pack and get some bond paper, pulled the chair and draw. “Do you remember the last time I reported?” he asked. He nods as a respond. “Well good, then.” he said. “The prosecutor who was assigned on her case dropped her case, to maintain the investigation, I accepted it. I confirmed the plate number I saw wasn’t just a memory of mine and we already traced who’s the owner.” he explains.
“How’s the investigation?” he asked with curiosity on his eyes.
“We recover the motorcycle the suspect used and the witness I was telling you before is ready.”
“Did you get the suspect?” he asked.
“Not yet, but our witness is under our security plus the other witnesses agreed to state what they saw, I already informed Grace’s family. Now, all we have to do is to find a lawyer for them to defend her. I can’t talk to a friend of mine to defend on her side, so we need to hire someone although a public lawyer can help her family.” he spontaneously explained.
“Wait, you mean to say you got the suspect?” he asked.
“Yeah, and the family said they will get a lawyer. Well, she can’t be arrested yet because we don’t have any warrant.” he said with disappointment expression.
“Okay, thanks. Now, back to what you’ve said, she’s not with him. To be honest, it wasn’t clear yet.” he said.
“Rovi, listen. Grace’s apparition is missing and the approximate date that her apparition existence was the day I talked to her if she didn’t talked to you after that day. Have she?”
“No, she wasn’t.” he said with sadness on his voice.
“Then, that means, that’s her last existence. How’s her progress?”
“After she moved her finger, it’s still the same. Every day is still the same.”
“I see…” he said while nodding. “We still have hope. Her body is still in progress although it’s still the same.” he said.
“You’re still optimistic.” he commented.
He smiled and stood-up. “She’s still alive and she’ll open her eyes soon. All we need to do is to wait, hope and pray. That’s all I have to say.” he said then stroked his head. “You’re the one who never loses hope and faith and I salute you for that. Keep that faith and hope. Let’s do our best for her. Hmm… Just tell me if your losing your hope, I’ll transfer her to the other hospital and get her away from you.” he said.
“I’m not losing my faith.” he said firmly.
“Very well, then.” he said then left him inside the room.
He made a deep sigh. “If she wasn’t with him then where she could be and whom is she with?” he whispered unto himself.
He was about to start his rounds when someone called him. “Yes?”
“Is this Doctor Jimenez?” asked on the line.
“Speaking, may I know your name?”
“We don’t know each other but I need to talk to you personally.”
“I’m sorry, I’m busy besides I’m not going to meet a person I don’t know.” he said and end the line.
He was about to put his phone on his pocket but he got a clever idea. He tracked the number using his phone and he was stunned when he found out where the caller is. He can’t determine the voice of the caller due to the voice changer the caller used. He sends the number of the caller unto Hael and call him. “Hey, did you receive it?” he asked.
“Yeah, what’s with this phone number?” Hael asked.
“That number called me just a minute ago after I turn off the call, I tracked it and I guess the caller is some kind of a stalker? I think the caller can see me right now.”
“Calm down, if he or she can see you. Don’t get near on Grace’s room, just act normal and relax. I’ll do my best to track this number where exactly is he or she.”
He was about to say something but Hael turn off the line. He had no choice but to get back to work and never get near unto Grace’s room. “Hi, just take some notes for today. I can’t go there yet due to some circumstances.” he called Nurse Dy to let him know.
