She’s panting due to tiredness, she noticed herself inside the familiar house. She made a deep breath, looked around and saw a familiar frame. The reality hit her she felt safe and relief. She run and run until her feet stopped her at the house of her newfound friend, Hael. She saw a messy part near the stairs, even though she doesn’t want to looked at it, she saw an old envelope and read her written name. She was about to get the envelope to look at it when she heard the door. She saw Hael with a woman, she saw his reaction, he was stunned.
“Sir, I’m just reminding you about your schedules for tomorrow.” said the woman beside him.
He’s still looking at her. “Yeah, yeah. By the way, wait for the papers I’ll be giving.” he said and gather all the papers and envelopes on the stairs. He went upstairs and made some noise. She saw him carried a few folders and brown envelopes. “Here. I’m sorry, I can’t ride you home.” he said apologetically. She saw her nod then went out.
Grace was stunned when he faced her with an all smile expression. “So, how may I help you?” he asked.
She doesn’t know if she’ll smile or what, she felt an awkward aura between them. She smiled awkwardly. “I don’t know how to start.” she said.
She was startled when he stepped in front of her. “Hey, did you cry?” he asked.
Her eyes begun to open wide when she saw he is about to wipe her tears dry on her face. “I’m fine. I just accidentally went here to ask you.”
He sat down and loosened his necktie. He looks tired. “Accidentally? Can you please explain more.” he glanced at her. “By the way, you can sit down.” She sat down in front of him to face him.
She saw a book entitled Unexpected Love, she opened it and there she saw a signature of an author, she’s sure of it and a piece of paper with a number and name.
“Are you going to stare at me until I fell asleep?” he asked with a smile on his lips.
“Sorry. I just remember somethin—”
“What?” he asked.
“I saw something on my stuffs at my room and I saw a book entitled Unexpected Love. I saw your name on a piece of paper that includes your number. I’m just going to ask, why do I have your book? Am I a fan of yours? Did we meet before? Why can’t I recognize you? Why do you have an envelope that I’m the addressee?” she asked spontaneously due to confusion. She saw him nothing but a blank expression on his face. She waits for him to react or respond on her questions but he kept his silence. “Answer me.” she said.
He looked away. “I’ll give the information you want to know when the time comes but not today. Don’t force me to answer those questions you’ve asked, please. I need to rest now, I have plenty works to do. I’m sorry.” he said with sadness on his eyes, he stood-up and kneels down in front of her. “I promise you, when the right time comes. I will answer all of your questions.” he said and kissed her hand.
She saw how his eyes begged. She just looked at him going upstairs. She looked at her hand and she saw a drop of liquid. She realized the liquid she saw dropped unto his polo wasn’t a drop of sweat. She can’t help but to leave him alone. She decided to see herself on the hospital. She’s on her way on her room when she saw Doctor Jimenez running on the other hallway. She didn’t bother to get his attention instead she walked straight and went inside her room. She saw Nurse Dy massaged her arms and hands. She felt ashamed when she saw he’s about to massage her legs.
“I can do that.” Mjay said. That action of her sister made her relieved.
She’s looking all over her body to check if she has any wounds or bruises on her body. She was stunned after she saw her finger moved a bit. She felt helpless, hopeless and empty. She just notice herself fading, she panicked at first but when she saw her hand moved once again, she calm herself and closed her eyes.
He rushed unto her room when Nurse Dy called him from the other room of his patient.
“What’s her status?” he asked.
“She’s still stable but her sister told me that she moved her finger on her right hand.” Nurse Dy explained.
“Did you check her vitals?” he asked while observing his patient’s pulse. He saw him nod. He checked her eyes and nod. “She’s doing well. We’ll observe her more and we’ll do some tests.” he said.
It’s been two months after he rushed inside her room because she moved her finger but still the progress she’s doing is still the same. It’s almost four months since she was admitted on the hospital. He doesn’t even see her apparition.
“Hey, when are you going to report?” he said on the line when Hael answer his call.
“I’m a bit busy nowadays; I can’t get a chance to see you. How is she?”
“She’s fine but I haven’t see her, is she seeing you?” he asked.
“No, the last time I talked to her was two months ago.”
