An hour before!!
When Caroline reached the orphanage where she had asked her to come, she didn’t find anyone around. She kept herself on high alert, expecting it not to be a trap.
“I didn’t expect you to come here this quick.” She heard and turned around to look at the woman in her early thirties. She recognized her immediately. She was no other than Michelle Rossi, the woman who wanted to get married to her mate. They hadn’t met before, but Caroline had kept small information about the person who was more like RED FLAG in her relationship with Artemis.
“Who are you? And why have you called me here?” Caroline asked, narrowing her eyes, acting as if she didn’t know anything about her. Also, she knew that Michelle was just a human who knew about all the supernatural creatures.
“You can call me your well-wisher,” Michelle said, batting her fake eyelashes. Caroline raised her eyebrow in surprise, wondering how sugar-coated words were coming out of her mouth instead of venom.
Did she wake up on the wrong side of the bed?
“Okay!! You texted me that you know something very important about my real parents. What is it? Please be quick. I have returned back home because it’s my wedding today.” She said.
“Really? Return back to that home and marry that man who is related to your parents’ death?” Michelle questioned, making caroline shocked. “I know you can sense whether I’m telling the truth or not.”
“The woman who ordered you to kill your parents, the woman who made you orphan, the woman because of which you can’t even an hour with your real parents, the woman is none other than Megan Rossi, the real mother of your mate.” Caroline took a step back, hearing it.
“Not just this, the hand which killed your parents. And the hand that took care of you from the beginning belonged had the same blood in the vein. The father of your so-called mother, Sophia Weasley Haysbert, had killed your parents brutally.”
“And do you know the worst part, Caroline? Everyone! Everyone knew about it but hid this truth away from you. In fact, your so-called in-laws didn’t even tell you the real relation between that you shared with Sila Gosling or did they?”
“Before becoming your mother-in-law, she is your aunt, the real sister of your father. She knew about it from the beginning but never… not a once she told you about it, or did she?”
“If I would have been you, then I would have never returned back to those people who were indirectly or directly involved in the murder of my parents. These are the things that I was able to find out from my so-called Grandma, Megan Rossi, but who knows, there will be more of it. Who knows, they would have lied about a lot of things. Who knows, Sophia Weasley adopted you out of pity to undo the wrong things that her father did, and who knows, she would be knowing about it from day one. Same with the Artemis; I haven’t seen him the previous ring, you know.” Michelle smartly played with her words. It wasn’t easy to find about about all these things, but all thanks to Isabella, who got all this information. In front of her, Michelle acted to let her keep the Artemis, but now that she was out of the picture, she had to use all the information against her.
Caroline clenched her fist in anger. A lot of things started going on in her mind. She left from there to think straight. The fact that everyone knew about it except her was making her feel betrayed.

AT PRESENT
On the other side!!
Artemis was shocked after hearing the truth from his parents. He knew that they were hiding something related to Sila’s past and Megan’s deed, and it was somewhere related to Caroline’s real parents, but never did he have thought that the truth would shake his whole world.
Only if he would have tried to find out all the things than focusing his mind on the work.
“Son, I thought…”
Artemis showed his hand, silently asking his father to shut his mouth. He closed his eyes and imagined the pain that his mate would be bearing at this moment. And the worst part was that she had no one at her side to talk to her; everyone that she thought was close to her had broken her trust.
‘Is that possible that she thinks that even I’m involved in all this?’ Bolt whimpered.
‘It could be possible. After all, we had stopped wearing her ring.’ Artemis responded.

A few hours later!!
There was still no sign of Caroline, all the guests were returned back to the room allotted to them, and almost every one of them thought that the marriage had been called off. It was just Artemis and close family members in the area where the wedding was going to happen.
Even they wanted to go to the room and to think the same that Caroline wouldn’t be coming today or tomorrow or maybe ever again, but Artemis was positive that she would come, and that was why he was standing on a stage and waiting for his bride to make entry.
“Stay here.” He ordered when father moved a little, feeling tired of standing for hours.
“I need to use the washroom,” Father said before leaving.
“Arti, I think you should rest for a while because Caro isn’t….”
“She will come, Mom.” Artemis cut her in between. “I have full trust in her and our love. It’s her habit to take time before making a decision; I know it. Right now, she is just confused, but in the end, she will always return to me because she loves me, Mom. She loves me more than she loves anyone in the whole world. She will come, and the wedding is happening. I know that for sure. She won’t break my trust. This phase is just a test of our love, simple as that.”
