They were giving her a like that she was getting married to some material than a man because all she heard was cutting him, chopping him, frying him, and many other things.
“Dear all my Uncles and dad!! I’m glad that you all love me this much but trust me, my mate loves me in the same way in which you all love your mate, AKA wives.” Caroline said, finally hearing everyone’s words. “You all treated me like your little Princess but trust me, Artemis treats me like a Queen, his queen.”
“What do you all mean that if he will ever hurt me, then….. This and that!! Tell me, who is standing here all innocent and have never hurt his woman? NEVER.” Caroline questioned, shutting everyone’s mouths. “Fights, argument, accidentally hurting each other is common in any relationship, and that is the base of any relationship, in fact.”
“Now, it will be better if you will treat my mate like a human, more like a son. If not, then remember that he is already my aunt’s and mom’s favorite. If you even touch his hair, then you will have to deal with your mates, AKA wives.” Caroline joked.
Brandon didn’t miss the change in Caroline’s habits. She wasn’t the one who used to tease or crack jokes but now she had changed, changed for good, and he hadn’t admitted it yet, but he liked this change in her. He walked toward her and hugged her dearly. He controlled himself from crying that night, but he was positive that he wouldn’t be able to control his tears tomorrow.

Caroline was all dressed for her wedding; all her relatives and family members except Brandon had reached at cruise because of her teleportation power. Only Brandon and she had to make an entry with the chopper. When she was checking herself in the mirror, she received a message on her phone.
“You’re going to get married and don’t want to take blessings from your real parents?” She frowned, reading that message. It was a message from an unknown number. A number from New York, from where her parents had adopted her.
“I have to share a very important clue about your parents. Meet me at the orphanage from where your current father adopted you.” Reading it, Caroline started, becoming restless if anything that she wanted to know about her parents and finally she was getting a chance to know about them on the day of her wedding. Without wasting a second, she disappeared from there, thinking that she would be back within a few minutes.
On the other side, Artemis started feeling restless, he couldn’t decipher, but he felt like something was not going to happen right. He tried to mindlink Caroline but he couldn’t, then he tried to call her, and after a first ring her phone switched off.
Brandon quickly came into Caroline’s room when his wolf couldn’t smell her scent, and just like he had thought, Caroline wasn’t there.
“What the…”

After an hour!!
Sophia dialed Brandon’s number, “Hunter, where are you? Still, trying to convince Caro not to marry Artemis? Hmm.”
“Mon Amour, Caro…”
“Stop convincing her and bring her quickly because Artemis is getting restless now, and ever the guests are wondering when the bride will make an entry,” Sophia said.
“Where are you?” Brandon asked, to which Sophia understood that she had to reach somewhere at the vacant place.
“I’m alone now. Tell me. Why do you sound…”
“Caro is missing. I don’t know where did she go without telling anyone, but she… she just disappeared.” Brandon muttered in tension.
“What do you mean by ‘she disappeared?'” Sophia questioned in tension. “Look around; she will be there.”
“I’ve been searching for her for the past hour, and she is nowhere. I have already asked Rebecca to mindlink all the werewolves of all the place to start looking for her.”
“Oh, okay!! Update me if you find anything about her.” Saying this, she disconnected the call and turned around, only to find Artemis standing behind her.
“Son..” Sophia tried to talk with him, but Artemis left from there without talking with her and reaching near all the family members, he looked for Caroline’s witch cousin, and he reached near her.
“May I talk with you for a second?” He asked her, who narrowed her eyes. “Pleasseeee. It’s a request.”
‘What happened?’
‘Is the bride not coming?’
‘Is he marrying someone else as a substitute bride?’
Scarlett nodded her head, and Artemis took her with him while Sophia, Sila, and Lorenzo followed them in tension and concern, of course!
“Can you please tell me where my mate is?”
“How can I know about her?” Scarlett asked. “We didn’t even talk with one another.” She pointed out. “Not to forget, we are not even that close.” Artemis knew that she didn’t like to disclose her identity. That was why she was acting like this.
“But you can find her with your powers. Please!! Please, it’s urgent.” Scarlett glared at him by listening to him. “I know that you don’t like to talk about it, but you can trust us. I mean, my parents. They won’t say anything to anyone.”
“And because of this, Caroline isn’t here.” Scarlett hissed. “Only if they would have told her about her past. She would never have been this upset, angry and confused.” She added and looked at Sophia. “Aunt!! Even you and Uncle Brandson are equally responsible for it. What were you thinking? Anyways, she will come if she wants to. I can’t tell anyone where she is now!! But she is fine.” Saying this, Scarlett was about to leave when she spoke again.
“Keep your tongue tight about me!! OR consequences won’t be right.”
“What… what have you all hidden from Caroline?” Artemis asked once Scarlett left from there. “Hold on; I guess I know something about it.” He said, glaring at his father. He had told him that hiding anything from Caroline wasn’t a good idea.
