“Who are you?”
His smile turned into a bitter scowl, as if I asked him to donate both of his kidneys.
After a muffled silence, he said,” I really like you calling me Mr. MYSTERY”.
I was getting impatient now, I was tapping my left foot continuously and waiting for him to proceed. After seeing my changing demeanor, he said,” Does it really matter?”
Wow! This is great now, is he taking me or himself for granted. I narrowed my eyes at him. He knew it as well that this time I won’t spare him. We both were staring each other. At the same time, there were thousands of ideas in my brain that how can I distract him and scratch that mask off his face. His mask was different, it had no strings attached for wearing it, it was made to stuck on his face.
He suddenly smirked, ” Don’t even think of it, lady!!”
I don’t know how this boy reads my every thought so easily? Wait a minute .. every? … oh no he might see me devouring himself…. naaa not possible…
I came out some how breaking my trance and replied,” then why don’t you revel yourself?”.
He simply said,” I am waiting for the right time”.
This time I was beyond irritated. Is this some kind of joke to him. Wait a minute… i am a joke since the moment i entered this college, what do these people think of themselves?
Thinking that he might be another prankster from my class or may be someone who want to take advantage of my body, or maybe something worse…… made me even more angry and my temper was flaring up higher by every passing second. I decided to leave before I regret my actions.
I slowly looked at our hands which were tied together and my eyes started pooling. Great! Now my body is betraying me too…. I hate to see me weak and torn every time. I looked at him for the last time to answer. He was still boring holes in me with his intense gaze. I waited for few seconds and when I didn’t see him move, I turned towards our hand and started untying it.
I don’t know why? But my eyes were shedding tears. Finally I was done untying it. I removed the slash and tiara and dropped it on the ground in front of him and started to move away……
It pained to see the end of night this way…
