He led me to the other corner of the auditorium efficiently; as there were so many people dancing as if their bodies are possessed. Auditorium was comparatively sweaty than before. We approached a person holding a notepad and a pen on his hand noting something.
He smacked that person’s shoulder and said,” Hey bro! We wanna participate too!”.
That guy smiled and looked at me from top to bottom and smirked. I could sense my Mr. Mystery’s grip tightening on my hand. He said gritting his teeth,” Mr. Mystery and Ms. Mystery “.
The person noted and said,” Are you sure ?, because your real names are meant to be registered”.
He said,” We want this names only, what is our token number?”.
That creepo gave him two badges which had 7 written on it. That creepo guided us to a door where all the contestants were given instructions. We went inside and to our surprise, Mr. Shashi our quantum maestro was giving instructions. After seeing me, he smiled broadly and approached us and said,” it’s good to see you both are here, I am happy to see my good students here”. We looked at each other and continue our gaze towards him.
He said,” You have to ramp walk together and pose at the end. For now head to the podium, start dancing there as a couple; so the judges can monitor you “.
I gulped hard and was still digesting the route of this horror ride, when he dragged me to the corner and said,” Look, you remember your salsa workshop? Held a month ago?”.
I nodded slightly, I guess he understood that I don’t. He said,” Okay! I got you, let’s practise a little”.
After 10 minutes we were out on the podium and I could see entire college at one glance, dancing like there’s no tomorrow.
He turned me towards him and positioned us. He replied cheekily,” Let’s do it Maya, don’t be scared, just enjoy yourself” and smiled his most sexy smile.
Scared me? I am not scared.( white lie) it’s an understatement of mine situation right now. I replied in a amused tone,” You too, sexy… just don’t take advantage of my thigh high slit and I guess they are about to start”.

We continued dancing and song finally ended. We bowed down and went in the corner of the podium.

I simply shrugged, not knowing what to say. He said,” then it’s a yes from me”. Our turn was announced. We both were holding each other’s hand and walked swiftly towards the end of the ramp. We walked with a half hand distance between us. When we reached at the end of the ramp, we pushed each other slightly and he twisted me back and I came swirling in his embrace. He had his eyes fixed on me and we were still in that position. Soon our perfomance was encouraged by a loud cheer and we headed back towards the start.
While walking he was holding my palm in his one hand and the other was on my back.
Suddenly, i realized he had amusement in his eyes and believe me, the moment he stared back at me, Everything around me got slow…
I was taking in his every visible feature of him. It was so easy to drown in those deep eyes. I didn’t realized that I was ogling him, until he jerked me slowly and asked,” Are you fine? You seem lost.”. I opened my mouth to say something but nothing came out. He smiled and said,” it’s okay, it happens with me as well”. I hope he didn’t understood that I was actually awed by his beauty.
Soon, the performances ended and it was time for the winner to be announced, ” The best couple for tonight is…….” he paused to sense the excitement and tension and continued, ” Mr. And Ms. Mystery “.
I couldn’t believe we simply won. I was still absorbing what I heard, then he hugged me tight and dragged me towards the center of the podium. Judges came and honoured us with the ” Best Couple” slash and crowns for both of us. Every body started cheering, I was so happy that I hugged him tightly in front of everyone and it was followed by a loud ” Aaaaawwwwww…”
After it ended, it was time for the DJ to rock the last few minutes of tonight’s.
He slowly whispered, ” Thankyou Ms. Mystery “.
I retorted with a tone as seductive as possible,” All because of you Mr. Mystery”.
The DJ was spreading fire all around the auditorium. It was the best moment to dance with him tonight. GOSH!! he and his dirty dancing, he and his hands drives me insane.
After the night ended, every body started leaving and it was time for the most awaited part…. him….
We went to the garden, we stared each other cheekily for a while, then I suddenly prompted,” let’s take photos “.
He nodded and took his phone and we started clicking selfies.
