He kissed her passionately, with the joy of regaining back what was lost.
Selina’s heart was beating fast but she didn’t stop him from kissing her.
Until they were almost out of breath, he loosened up and said, “Don’t you ever leave me again.”
Selina was stunned. She was confused about his words. But the nurse came to change the medicine and interrupted her intention to ask further.
“I’ll be out for a while, see you later,” Manfred said after the nurse had done her job.
Selina nodded, her head was still in pain, and she fell asleep soon after.

Osborn was already waiting for Manfred in the car as he stepped out.
Soon as he got in, Osborn said, “The police investigation result is out, the truck driver was driving under a fatigue condition, they are going to close the case.”
Manfred squinted his eyes, he knew it would turn out this way.
“What about our investigation?”
“The truck driver is a gambler and had lost quite an amount of money not long ago… “, Osborn said, “He seems to know Todd Lange.”
“Todd Lange?” Manfred said coldly. “Let’s go.”
“Where to?” asked Osborn.
“To meet Todd!”
Inside a VIP room at a nightclub.
A hot lady wrapped her arms around Todd while feeding him alcohol. He enjoyed the treatment and squeezed the woman’s buttock, she moaned sweetly.
The door was pushed open suddenly, Todd was shocked slightly and looked towards the door with his eyes squinted.
He laughed when he saw Manfred.
“Mr Gordon, it is hard to meet you these days!”
Manfred laughed sarcastically, “It seems like you are expecting me.”
“You have been investigating me discreetly, haven’t you? I could be murdered anytime without anyone knowing if I am still unaware of what is going on, won’t I?”
Todd was huge, he was a criminal but looked unusually friendly with a smile on his face. He was making some threatening statements but managed to make it sounded like a joke.
Manfred frowned and seemed disturbed.
They were discreet enough but still was discovered.
Manfred walked towards the chair silently and sat down.
“Since you know I am investigating you, presumably, you know the reason too?”
“Of course! Your lover involved in an accident and the accident was planned by my staff. Don’t worry, I have all the evidence, I can hand it over to you anytime.”
“Terms?” Manfred asked.
Todd laughed out loud after hearing this.
“Mr Gordon indeed is straightforward, but let’s not talk about terms for now. We haven’t worked together since you came back from the States, you’ve been avoiding me and I’m slightly upset by that. You wouldn’t even think of visiting me if it wasn’t for that girl, right? So? Have you got your heart stolen by her?”
Todd was like talking to an old friend, but with each word he uttered, there was a motive behind it.
Manfred frowned and then smiled, “Mr Lange, don’t you understand the joy of surrounded by women? It has to be eaten fresh, doesn’t it?”
“Really?” Todd got excited. “You’ve never shown your interest in a woman before, I thought she was special. In this case, let’s enjoy ourselves tonight, have a taste of mine!” He pushed the lady in his arms towards Manfred.
Osborn wanted to do something but Manfred looked at him and he stopped.
Osborn frowned and stepped back to his position.
That woman casually sat on Manfred’s lap, he smelled her strong perfume and frowned slightly. This reminded him that Selina had never used perfume.
“What’s wrong? Not your cup of tea?” Todd asked.
Manfred smiled, “Are you kidding?” He pulled the woman into his arms and laughed. “Mr Lange has great taste.”
“Haha, I’m glad you like it.”
While they were chatting, Osborn came in, “Mr Gordon, there’s an urgency at home that need your presence.”
Todd was displeased, “Don’t tell me you need to go now?”
“What?” Manfred smiled and glanced at the woman, “I won’t let your good intention goes to waste.”
Todd nodded with satisfaction,” Great! Mr Gordon, let’s meet up next time around. Bring this woman with you!”
Manfred came out with the woman and he frowned instantly soon as the door behind them closed.
Osborn stretched out his hands to help, “Mr Gordon.”
Manfred shook his head, letting that woman held onto his arm, three of them got down and went into their car.
After they went far enough, someone went back to report to Todd. “Manfred brought that woman along.”
Todd raised his eyebrows, “It seems like I was a bit too suspicious. But this matches the cold-hearted Manfred Gordon!”
The car moved at high speed while the woman leaned against Manfred’ body. Todd was old and ugly, he was nothing compared to this young man.
Rich and good looking. She would have a luxurious life if she could have his heart stolen.
“Mr Gordon, where are we heading to?” the woman asked softly.
Manfred lifted the corner of his lips, “Let’s have some fun.”
He took a cloth from the back seat, handed it over to her, “Cover your eyes.”
She got all excited, “Mr Gordon, you are naughty.”
Manfred didn’t reply. The woman covered up her own eyes. When she was done, he told the driver, “Stop the car.”
He then signalled Osborn to led her out of the car.
Soon as they got down, he whispered, “To the hospital.”

Selina had a full bowl of fish soup and she couldn’t sleep with a full stomach. So she grabbed a design book and started flipping.
She begged Ashley to bring her the book. While she was reading, the door was slammed open.
She was shocked and saw Manfred stumbling his way in.
Ashley hurriedly stepped forward, “What’s wrong with him?”
Selina was shocked too when she saw the rashes on his body.
“Don’t touch him!”
Ashley stayed frozen.
Selina quickly got up from the bed and held him, “Why did it happen again?”
Ashley was nervous, “Ms Jones, you are wounded, you are not supposed to be up…”
“That’s not the problem, go get me some hot water.”
Ashley did as told while Selina put Manfred onto the sofa. It seemed like his condition was worse than before, despite he was still conscious, he couldn’t recognize anyone anymore.
Selina tried to unbutton him, but he resisted.
Selina was nervous and whispered in his ears, “Manfred, it’s me, I’m Selina Jones …”
“Selina Jones?” Manfred opened his eyes slightly and passed out soon after confirming that it was her.
