I couldn’t stay in the house any longer as the whole place was in hell, the bickering and arguments between the two siblings. The place was not healthy for my baby and so the only option was for me to run away from everyone’s sight and ear. I felt sorry for abandoning my sisters who had done nothing but be with me when I needed them most but I hoped that they would understand me and my reasons behind the sudden disappearance. Holding my swollen belly, I kept running to God knows where walking through the tacky roads. I kept hoping that none of the siblings would notice my absence.
“Ahh…!!!!!” I screamed as I felt someone choking me from behind. Struggling to free myself as the person’s hold gets harder. I fell to the floor unconscious since I couldn’t free myself.
My head felt buzzing, trying to force my eyes open the more the pain in my head hurts. The floor felt cold which makes me worry since the last time that I remembered I was running and making my way out before I was suffocated with a handkerchief.
“Hey, Heaven you there?”
“Heaven, answer me!!!….” I screamed within me.
“We were trapped and I am already getting weak,” Heaven muttered tiredly.
“Heaven!” I scarily exclaimed.
“I am sorry, Mira, for failing you,” with a faint voice she muttered.
“HEAVEN!!!!” I cried out in fear as I noticed my wolf getting weaker and with that, I snapped back to reality as I forced my eyes open. Staring at my surroundings, fear kicked into me, the whole place looked dark and smelled like dried blood. My whole body aches as I attempt to sit upright, I noticed that my hands were curled up with a chain.
“Anybody there….!!’ Wiggling the chain I yelled to no one in particular, my body trembled as I heard footsteps at the door. The door was slowly pulled open, the person walked through the shadow. All of a sudden I stopped hearing the footsteps as more fear evolved, I instantly shut my eyes as the light was put on. Unhurriedly opening my eyes I noticed a lot of men in black holding heavy weapons in their hands as they stood there like a statue.
The last time that I could remember, I know that I heard one person’s footsteps but right now I am seeing more than twenty men in the same empty room. Was it that they were here all this while?
” Who do we have here!”
“Nengi…..” I shrank as I was snapped out of my thoughts, staring bewilderingly at her as a devilish smirk crawled into her lips.
“What a surprise?” Her smile widened as she glanced at my baby bump.
“Let me go!….” I glared.
“Just let me go now!
” Why am I trapped here?” I yelled despite the pain burning into my soul, my health worries me. The more Heaven gets weaker the more my body weakens.
“Haha!….. Just stop being a nuisance,” she snarled.
“Haven’t you succeeded in taking the twins away from me but mind you that they will never set their eyes on you again,” she uttered.
“Why do you hate me so much?” I fought back the tears trying to escape from my eyes.
“I don’t just hate you but I resent everything in you and for who you are…… I wished to wake up and never gets to see these pathetic face of yours,”
“I always wished for death to locate you but hell no it seems like it was far from you…..” She let out.
“But don’t worry, don’t stress yourself because I will bring it to you wholeheartedly. Am I not a good person?” She dangerously muttered with a devilish smile plastered on her face.
“Why are you so mean?” The words rolled out of my lips before I could control them.
Leaning down, she gradually muttered. “Do I say all these things to make you happy……?”
“Ne….. Nen…. gi,” I stammered as my lips shuddered.
“Enough! Of all this nonsense….” I heard another voice behind me. Wiggling my head I turned quickly, I gasped as my eyes widened in shock.
“Ga…. MMA…
“Gamma Peter….” I dwindled in fear.
“And finally we have you here…. Isn’t God wonderful?” His brow furrowed up in a taunting way.
“Please…. ” I pleaded.
“Please…..” He snarled, “When I have not yet started,”
I watched as some of the men went and brought in a lengthy table with a lot of torture instruments. I watched with terror how they were arranging the table, I regret running out of that house. How will they find me now? How could they know where I was abducted?
“My baby….” Staring at my belly, I muttered within. I couldn’t feel my wolf anymore and that worsen my fear, Heaven can’t fucking move. What did they give to my wolf to be this weak? I can’t fight back, not in this condition.
“What did you do to my wolf? What did you people give to my wolf to make her this weak!!” I teary yelled at them.
“Haha….” She let out one dangerous laugh.
“Hey, calm down we just gave your wolf a pill that will allow her to rest eternally,” Mr. Peter devilishly muttered.
“No!!!…” I cried out as I could hear their laughter echoing the whole place.
“You think that you would escape just like that!
” Taking my threat as just nothing, you thought getting pregnant was going to save you but you lied because I will kill you and the baby before they will find you…..”
“Please don’t hurt my baby……” I desperately begged them.
“Move her to the table now!!” Mr. Peter roared.
“Please!!…” I cried out as they dragged me to the table. Lying me damn flat on the table, my hands were curled with chains with my front facing upright.
“Here you will be dead and none of the siblings or your loved ones will know…..” Nengi dangerously smiled.
“Do you want the baby to be removed in an easy way or in a hard way?” With a vicious smile, she asked.
Shaking my head, I pleaded for her to let me go and never for us to cross paths again. Though I wanted to act strong, with the baby in the picture, I have to do anything to stay alive for his sake. I can’t bear the pain of losing my child despite my bond with the father not being that amazing or healthy, what is keeping the father and I together is just the bond. Trying to force a liquid mixture down my throat, the door was bust open. My eyes widened in shock as I watched my mates, Khloe, Lucien, and our warriors stomping inside the place.
“What the fuck is going on here?” Nicholas was confusingly muttering as everyone seemed confused except Derrick, it seems like he knew about the evilness of the father and daughter because all I could see in his eyes was hatred and nothing much.
“Don’t you dare come close or I will kill her and the baby,” placing the knife on my neck she snarled
“How do you people get inside here?” Mr. Peter asked with confusion.
“Does it matter?” Derrick snapped at him.
“Let go of my sister now!” Khloe growled with anger.
“Never!” Nengi lashed out at her.
“What’s going on here for the last time?” Nicholas asked as he scanned the whole place and men in black.
“She doesn’t deserve to live,” Mr. Peter uttered.
“Says who!! Nicholas let out a warning growl.
“I will crush you and your so-called daughter if you guys don’t let her go,” Derrick furiously growled.
“I wanna see you try,” with a devilish smile, Nengi muttered as she deepened the knife almost to my neck.
“Ahhh!!….” I whimpered as the sharpness of the knife pierced my skin. Nicholas and Derrick were on the edge of losing it and attacking her when Lucien dropped the bomb startling everyone.
“I regret being mated to you, today I feel so stupid to have loved you all this while. So this was your plan all these days, and you made me trust and work for you……You look so innocent that I couldn’t believe that you could hurt a fly,” Lucien sadly sounded as hatred flashed in his eyes.
“I could have rejected you all these while but I ignored the handwriting that was very clearly written on the wall,”
“I feel so stupid and terrible now!” Lucien muttered.
“You guys mated together….?” We all asked in unison,
“You were mated to this weakly and you didn’t let me know,” Mr. Peter lashed at her daughter.
“Ye…. s….. da….. dad,” she stammered.
“Why didn’t you reject him asap?” He screeched with anger.
“I kept him for a reason,” she replied.
“What stupid reason?” His father barked.
“To monitor the movements of the siblings…..” She confessed.
“What!!!” The siblings exclaimed.
“That wasn’t enough reason not to reject him! How can you underestimate the work of the mate bond? And this is why your mind wasn’t fully on this……” her father angrily complained.
“Even the rogues and everything happening in this pack was your doing, right?” Nicholas questioned as pain and betrayal flashed in his eyes.
“Even the death of our father,” Derrick retorted.
“I am sorry,” Lucien pleaded to the twins as they both hurled him a deadly glare causing him to shut his lips. Despite everything I still feel bad for him, I know that he was doing that for the sake of the mate bond. To owe his mate back to himself though he went far.
“So the girl he was talking about all this while was Nengi….. The so-called mate of his was Nengi,” I murmured sadly within myself.
“I thought you said that you have nothing to do with Nengi, then how do you expect me to have you beside me since you could behave like this?” Nicholas asked as his brow caresses in doubt.
“I am so sorry….” Tears stung his eyes as he pleaded to the twins, “I was overshadowed with love and lust that I couldn’t think wisely or to even know that I was used,”
“Is okay, the deed has been done so no need for all these explanations. I understand…..” Tapping Lucien’s shoulder, Derrick muttered.
“Why did you do this?” Nicholas asked.
“I want you! I want you Nicholas but she ruined everything…. She ruined us,” Nengi shamelessly blurted.
“There was never us!” Nicholas barked.
“You want Nicholas or you just want the title?” With a taunting smile, Derrick fired back at her.
“Yes, I want the title, I deserve to rule and I couldn’t do that without getting married to any of you and you know what…….?” With a corny smile, she asked.
“I will remove any obstacle on my way to achieving my dreams,” she mumbled.
“And that’s why you think that you could do something stupid and walk away with that?” Nicholas fumes. Still arguing I noticed Derrick’s mind linked to someone, immediately the warriors started firing the men on black as Derrick quickly rushed towards me and untied me. Standing up I started rushing towards the exit, I heard a cry turning around I saw Nicholas shoving out the game’s head from his neck. It was a terrifying sight, I felt Nengi scream in horror as her father’s head got separated from his body. Bullets were flying through every corner, so the best thing I did for my safety was to hide under the table.
Khloe was a good fighter. I can give her that. I watched with satisfaction the way she kicked their asses and slaughtered them to death without a second thought. Today was the first day that I was seeing Derrick’s fierce side, he looks deadly and dangerous and the sight horrified my core but in other ways, it kind of turns me on. Trying to pick up a gun and shoot, Lucien sighted her and snarled at her.
“I have never wanted to do this but today I feel delighted and satisfied to do it….” Lucien voiced out.
“I, Lucien, the future beta of the bright moon pack, reject you, Nengi, the daughter of the gamma of the bright moon pack as my mate and break every bond that we share……..
” Ahhhh!!!” The word hit her differently as both of them screamed in agony, I watched with terrifying eyes as their mate’s bond broke. Deciding to use that opportunity and escape as I heard Nengi growled in agony.
“Ahh!!” I screamed as I felt someone push me to the floor, turning around I noticed blood all over my body with Nicholas holding me steady.
“Nicholas….” I scarily muttered that when it dawned on me that the blood was coming out of his body and not mine. I surprisingly gaped at him, he saved me from the stray bullet. He saved my life and that of our baby from Nengi’s gunshot.
Smiling tenderly at me, this is the first time that I am seeing a genuine smile on Nicholas’s lips. My heart melted as I watched him smile.
“I am sorry….” With a heavy breath, he mumbled.
“Please forgive me……
