“What do you mean that you haven’t seen her?” Derrick rumbled in anger.
“We have searched the whole place but still it looks like she wasn’t in any way to be seen?” One of the warriors muttered.
“From what the report has gotten so far, it looks like she eloped with two omegas,” another warrior said.
“Two omegas!” Nicholas and Lucien muttered.
“Yes, two omegas…… Susan and Angel,” He replied.
“Angel! But I thought that she was hospitalized due to her unconscious state?” Virginia exclaimed as she claimed to be surprised.
“The burial was in two days but she escaped just like that with thousands of warriors on the prison door and pack gate……come on this doesn’t make sense,” Nicholas grumbled.
“Looks like someone helped her out……” Lucien muttered.
“And I am damn sure that it will be someone from a higher rank because there is no way only the omegas can be this courageous,” Derrick uttered.
“No time to waste because we need to find her…….
It has been three fucking weeks still there is no trace of where Mira could have run to, the whole pack members were restless. Some still have it that Mira was innocent and that the death of Alpha Den would have been caused by someone closer to them but not the future Luna. The twins have been in a problem, not wanting to see each other, Lucien being the beta doesn’t know as he was in a state of dilemma not knowing who to carry out his instruction since the two twins were at each other’s neck.
Sitting inside his study, Nengi walked up to Nicholas who was in deep thought.
“You seemed worried…….” She uttered.
“Nico, I am talking to you,” she muttered as she noticed that Nicholas was ignoring her, moving forward she tapped his shoulder. Nicholas flinches back as he bewilderingly glances around him.
“What’s wrong? Why are you acting strange?” Nengi asked with a frown.
“Did you touch me now?” Nicholas questioned.
“Come on, of course, I did……” Nengi confusingly mumbled.
“Gosh! But why did it feel like my body was being pierced by a thorn,” he murmured.
“Excuse me….” Nengi scowls.
“Don’t touch me again, it irritates my body,” Nicholas seriously muttered with a loud tone.
“Nico! How could you?” She surprisingly glared
“Look! Nengi….. I have a lot in my head now and dealing with you is not part of it,” he uttered.
“How dare you talk to me in that awful way! You have been like this for the past weeks since that wench’s disappearance,” Nengi muttered heartbrokenly.
“SHUT UP! DON’T YOU DARE CALL HER NAME AGAIN!!” Nicholas growled at her, his eyes turned cold and dark as he fought to control his wolf from coming out and pulling her head out of her body.
Flinching back, she fought back her tears “I thought you didn’t love her…..?”
“I thought so but it turns out I was giving myself false hope all this while….” He barely whispered.
“Umm….. Really?” Blinking back her tears, she let out a hurtful smile.
“Look, Nengi I am sorry for shouting at you and leading you on all this while but the thing is that my heart beats for Mira….. She is like the air that I breathe and I don’t seem that I could let her go,” he apologized as his eyes glowed and lit up whenever he talked about Mira.
“Just stop it already, Nico…” she lashed out.
“You know what I am done with you, so now! Get out…….” Nicholas lulled her.
“Nico…. You can’t do this to us,”
“Just shut up and don’t make me lose it……” he roared.
“Remember our happy memories…..” She barely mumbled.
“Look! I and you have sex doesn’t make us a thing, it was just for fun and you know that no feelings were supposed to be attached. So now if you can do me a favor and walk your ass out of my study, I promise you that I will appreciate it more than anything ….” He silenced her.
Nengi painfully glared at him, as Mira’s words flooded her head **No matter what you do or how you try, you will always remain a loser……” it still hurts her that no matter how much pressure that she applies that Mira still has those twins wrapped at the tip of her fingers. Her resentment toward Mira was huge and it got worse with each passing day, and before she knew it tears welled in her eyes.
“Nengi….. Ne….. Nen….” Couldn’t control her emotions again, she ran out of the room ignoring Nicholas’s calls and everything.
On the other hand, as Nicholas strode out of his study, he noticed Derrick directing some of the warriors and Lucien on something. Curiosity walking towards them, he clears his throat as he approaches them.
“Greetings, Sir…..” The warriors together with Lucien greet each other.
“And what’s going on here?” Ignoring their greeting, he asked, facing his brother with an irritated look.
“We were talking about how to find your wife,” noticing that Derrick wasn’t ready to answer her, one of the warriors muttered.
“HOW DARE YOU!” Derrick rumbled, “Have you lost it……?” Derrick angrily snarled at the warrior as he suddenly flinched back in panic as fear crawled up his face.
“She belongs to me!” Derrick progressively claimed.
“Wow! What a nice performance……” clapping his hands, Nicholas muttered with a mocking laugh.
“But so bad she is my wife and mate….” Facing Derick he muttered. “But you know what she fucking belongs to me,”
“I hope you all already know what to do?” Dismissing his brother’s words, he questioned.
“Yes!…..” They all muttered.
“Nope! No one is going out of here till I say so…..” Nicholas declared.
“You are seriously looking for my trouble if you want to find Mira, the girl that you haven’t given a chance to prove to you how a queen that she was, how a perfect Luna that she could make. If you so much wanted her then you form all your warriors and go…..” Derrick finished as he motioned for Lucien to go with him.
“Lucien doesn’t move an inch,” Nicholas commands.
“Don’t allow me to repeat myself….” Derrick hiss.
“Nico…. Derri…..” Consider Lucien muttered.
“Do you think that I am going to allow him to follow you, never! He serves me not you,” with a taunting smile, Nicholas mocked.
“Look! Nicholas……” glaring at him, Derrick muttered, “I am not here for your ranting, I have somewhere to go now so suit yourself,” with that Derrick stomped out of the place.
Arriving at the crystal mountain pack, Derrick and his men strode towards the gate as another red car packed immediately with Nicholas and Lucien coming down as well. Ignoring them Derrick ordered the warrior to open the gate for them, though part of his body told him that Mira couldn’t be there. She is too smart to come rushing here after her escape knowing fully well that they will come to find her there.
“Hey! What’s going on here?” Mira’s father uttered with an authority
“Sir, I don’t know….. ow,” still stammering, Derrick quickly pushes the scary warrior out of the gate as he angrily stomps inside.
“Why are…. you people doing here?” Mira’s father muttered though his tone wasn’t that serious for he seemed scared.
“Wow! So we aren’t allowed in here again…..” Nicholas devilishly drawled.
“No! That’s not what I mean,” he suddenly muffled with a phony smile.
“I am not here for discussion, tell me where is my MATE!!” Derrick hummed.
“Mate!” He confusingly exclaimed.
“He is talking about my wife and mate,” Nicholas snarled.
“Wife and mate!…. Sorry but I still don’t understand,” he stared at them with confusion all over his face. It wasn’t long before Khloe and their mother joined them.
“What’s going on here?” Khloe with her Alpha, she muttered.
“I don’t understand…..”
“What is it there for you not to understand, tell me, huh?” Derrick impatiently blurted out coldly.
“Calm down, Derrick….” Khloe mumbled.
Clearing his throat, he muttered, “Derrick said that he wants his mate while Nicholas at the same time said that he is also here for his wife and mate……”
“Huh……interesting,” Khloe mumbled.
“How? Wait Khloe do you know what they are talking about?” Her mother asked.
“Nope…. not a bit,” Khloe noticed how Derrick narrowed his eyes on her like he didn’t believe any shit that she muttered.
“You guys can keep fooling yourself……” Nicholas coldly snapped.
“Why is Mira?” The question sent chills down her parent’s body as he seemed taken aback by Derrick’s question.
“Mira! How do you mean? Wasn’t she supposed to be in her husband’s house?” Her mother expressed.
“But so bad, she wasn’t in the house….. That little wench escaped and elope to God knows where,”
“Don’t you ever call her a name again….” Derrick growled at Nicholas taking Khloe’s parents by surprise.
“If I do then what are you going to do,” he challenged.
“I will crush you because I can’t allow anybody to talk to my mate! in that manner” He blasts.
“So bad but she is also my mate and wife…. Not only your mate, but she is also mine. MINE!” Nicholas roared with rage.
“Mate! and Wife to you two brothers,” Her parents gazed at them.
“But when we came for the burial you told us that Mira was inside and didn’t want to see us,” Her mother uttered.
“I am not here for your jokes, guards! Search this whole pack….” Nicholas commands.
“I should have stopped you as the new Alpha of this pack but the thing is that I don’t want it to be like I am rude to our humble visitors but if I ever look for my sister just bear it in mind that your head will be chopped off from your necks……” Khloe threatened with a cold expression.
“Stop! Why threaten them?” Her mother tried shushing her.
“Excuse me, do I look like Mira that you can toy around and mind you this whole drama is because of you two,” Khloe snapped.
“Caused by who?” His father questioned.
“You two were the main reason behind my sister’s predicament,” she yelled loudly with an angry tone.
“How……?”
“She was nowhere to be found, sir,” the warriors came back as they informed the twins about her absence and then not finding her there.
“Let’s go……” Nicholas uttered as Derrick suspiciously glanced at Khloe before stomping out of the place with his men.
“What just happened….?” Her mother says.
“You guys have succeeded in pushing my sister into a dilemma situation, now she was not only mated and married to Nicholas but she was also mated to his twin brother…..” She blasts at them.
“Mated to who? This can’t be possible…..” Her mother cried out as the father seemed weak and broken.
“Because of political reasons you sold off your daughter, how pathetic and coward you are……just know that if I ever looked for my sister you two will pay for that,”
“Khloe! Are you threatening your parents?” His father muttered.
“Nope but I am stating the possibility of what will happen to you two……….
