Mira’s Pov:
I was still in my little world with my wolf before she stiffened, which gave me concern.
“Hey… Heaven,” I called her.
“Yes…” she responds with heavy breathing.
“What’s the issue?” I asked, confused.
“He is here,” she said almost to herself.
“Who is here….” I asked with a throbbing heart.
“I can feel him,” she gently whispered.
“Who….. I didn’t get to finish as my hair stood up surprising me, my heart kept throbbing as the door was pulled open revealing the last person that I ever want to see now.
My eyes almost popped out as I stared at my mate walking through the door with the guards bowing to him as he walked in.
He froze and stopped, his eyes scanning around the room before our eyes connected. I nervously and surprisingly gaze at him. He looked surprised too and gave me, ” What the hell are you doing here?” look before he slowly strolls to his mother’s side and pulls a chair out sitting down with the huge guy behind him sitting down too.
The huge guy smiled at me before sitting down though he kind of looked surprised to see me there, “That was the huge guy with him the other day if I wasn’t mistaken,” I said to myself. He didn’t even greet the Luna or the Alpha or any other rank pack members as he sat there with all his glory glaring at me. The other rank members did what surprised me, they greeted him submissively but he ignored them. “I wonder why?”
“Wow!… Who do we have here?” Virginia said with excitement.
“Why do you call?” He asked Luna emotionlessly without sparing her any look rather his gaze was fixed on me. I gave him a scowl expression for his mannerless way of talking to Luna but he smirked, causing me to roll my eyes at him.
“Don’t you greet….?” The Alpha asked.
“Go straight to the point, I don’t have all day,” he let out.
“Greet now!!….” The Alpha said with a hardened expression releasing his aura. Luna gave the Alpha a worried look and tried claiming him down.
“Is he that ruthless? What if the Alpha punishes him for disrespecting him?” I questioned myself, for I haven’t seen anyone disrespect the Alpha or any higher rank person and go scout free. But this ruthless mate of mine won’t behave himself, “Does he need to show himself everywhere?”
“Good day….” He mumbled after some hours of keeping quiet.
“Greet properly..” The Alpha screeched, sounding annoyed. He sure wasn’t having those attitudes of his.
“Good day Father…” he mumbled looking grumpy, taking me by surprise by his words.
“Father…..” I and Heaven uttered in unison with a surprised voice. Before I got time to process everything, I was quickly interrupted by Luna as she dropped the bombshell.
“So now that everything is settled, let me introduce you two,” she said as she referred to me and my mate.
“Mira, this is Nicholas, my son, your husband. The one that you will be getting married to,” she announced with so much enthusiasm.
“What the fuck!!…” I whispered almost to myself surprised but with their wolf, I knew that they heard me. They all turn in my direction.
“Any problem sweetheart?” Virginia said with a worried expression.
“No….” I said suddenly with a fake smile. She shrugged as she smiled at me before turning her attention to Nicholas who kept staring at me with a surprised expression. He quickly masked his expression immediately after our gaze locked.
“And this is Mira Parker, your wife, the one that you will be getting married to on the next full moon,” she said to Nicholas who gave me a devilish smile initiating fear in me. I slowly glance at everyone as they stare with happiness except the gamma and the huge guy who was giving me a surprised look.
“This is the future beta Liam, the beta’s son,” she introduced the huge guy, who smiled and now to me submissively.
I shrink in fear and nervousness as I try to process everything once again, I am arranged into marrying a total stranger that I knew nothing about. Finding my mate I thought that I am freely away from this arranged marriage but only for it to turn out that I am not even half quarter away from it as I found myself in the worst situation of my mate turning out to be my arranged husband, and the huge guy that kept giving me a pitiful look and has also seen me in my worst state turning out to be his beta. I fearfully glance at Nicholas who rolls his eyes at me.
“Is the moon goddess playing tricks on me?” I questioned myself.
“Hey Heaven, you there,” I called Heaven who had gone silent again. She shook her head as she came out of her shocked state.
“Yes….” She mumbled.
“Are you seeing what I am seeing?” I inquired with a worried and horrified tone.
“Yes….” She mumbled again, mirroring my tone.
“We are screwed…’ I cried out.
“Is not like something we couldn’t handle,” she tried sounding brave but who is she kidding, you can notice how fearful she was too.
“Stop that Heaven…. not this time,” I said horrified.
“Trust me…” she said to me.
“We nearly died from his torture when we were still mates and you thought we are going to survive being married to him? What the rarest way to calm yourself down,” I said with a painful expression.
I was snapped back to reality as Nicholas asked the Luna question in a hard tone causing the Alpha to snarl at him but the idiot smirked and focused his attention on his mother who faked a smile and shrugged it off.
“Why are you calling?” He said without even acknowledging me.
“Your twin brother sent a message to you,” Virginia said as Nicholas’s face softened at the mention of his brother. His eyes lit at the mention of his twin brother, he smiles as he stares at his mother, Luna. This is the first time I am seeing his eyes lit up with something positive.
“So he has a brother, a twin for that matter?” I raised a question within myself as I awaited the message Luna has for him.
