Chapter Epilogue

Book:Freezing day in Hell Published:2024-5-1

It was finally THE day.
I’m going to walk down the aisle and get married to the most amazing man in the history of men, I could feel the butterflies dancing in my tummy. I stood in front of the mirror, the stylists did a good job, I have to give them that. The gown was expensive but simple, decorated in precious stones but not stuffy.
The door opened and Harry came in closing the door behind him.
“You look stunning, Amanda.”
“Thanks, you clean up quite nicely yourself.”
We laughed at the joke. Harry always cleaned up nicely.
“Savannah would be so proud of you, I wish she was alive to see this day.”
I could see the tears gathering in his eyes and the last thing I wanted was anyone crying in front of me. I was already an emotional mess with the baby and I was trying to hold it in, thankfully Elena came in and told me it was time.
“Shall we?”
“Yes, we shall.”
We walked down the aisle as everyone stood up but my eyes were on only one man and then a little kid standing next to him. In just twenty years of my lifetime, I have learned that fighting is the only way but I was more than ready to lay down my weapons and give it all up for these two.
Tony said his vows and I could feel my soul shift to make room for him to come in.
“Tony, we didn’t exactly staff on the right foot but I am eternally grateful that I met you. You left me with the gift I could have ever asked for and somehow we found our way back to each other. I promise to love you…”
And I would…
“… I promise to cherish you…”
I haven’t exactly had precious moments in my life but this one…
“… I promise to always stand by you…”
It hurts tothink about all the hurt I’ve faced in my life and all the people who let me down…
“… I promise to walk with you and be your strength when you’re weak…”
… but I knew that Tony wouldn’t be one of those people, I knew I’d be loved and protected… and I promise to love him.
To be the Savannah to his Harry…
The Bonnie to his Clyde…
Till the higher powers deem it fit to see us to the grave.
“… I’ll be with you and love you forever till death do us part…”
There’s nowhere I’d rather be…
There’s no one I would think of to walk this life with than him.
