I and Tony have been dating for about nine months now, all this time people have been curious about Lord Weathersone’s mystery granddaughter and me being seen around with the most eligible bachelor in London only made the gossip blogs crazier, I and Michael are been hounded left and right.
Ashley and Henry tried to take advantage of the situation, they’ve been trying to contact me since they saw me on the television and that I’m pretty famous now too. They did some crappy interviews about how we were family and how Ashley was my sweet and loving’mother’ and how she couldn’t wait to see me again. Let’s just say I let her feel Harry’s wrath and as they say, the rest was history.
I stretched my limbs as I got out of bed, Michael must still be asleep. I was meeting with Tony’s family today, well the rest of it since I’ve met the very unpleasant Eugenia. We still lived with Harry although I’ll soon begin moving some of our stuff into Tony’s mansion a couple of miles from here, I just wanted to savor this precious time with my grandfather.
I wish I had met him sooner, he was the sweetest man ever. My grandmother was really lucky to have him and my mother too but she didn’t live long enough to fully appreciate the gift.
I went around my usual morning business and went to wake Michael and see to his before we both went down for breakfast. We had just finished breakfast when I heard Tony pull up into the compound, we said our goodbyes and gave our kisses to Harry before going out to meet him. Michael as usual ran ahead of me and had some playtime with daddy, by the time I came out he was already in his car seat in the back singing along to baby shark.
“Good morning Tony.”
“Good morning Love.”
He pulled me into his arms and gave me a toe-curling kiss.
“It’s going to be a really good morning.”
We got into the car and began our journey to his mother’s house, she was hosting a family dinner so every member of their family was going to be present. Eugenia included.
“Just so you know, if Eugenia decided to be a bitch I’ll have no issues laying her down like one.”
“If Eugenia acts like a bitch, you have my blessing to lay her down like one.”
I laughed it off with him but I knew he was dead serious, I’ve come to know a couple of things about Tony just as I know that I am pregnant again with his kid, and I’ve confirmed with a test this morning. I just needed the right time to tell him.
We pulled into an ultra-modern white house with glass floor to ceiling glass windows on one side of the top floor but you couldn’t see through the glass. This was not what I was expecting ashe described his mother as some very traditional British woman.
“Wow…”
“Yeah, wow’s right.”
“It’s beautiful.”
“Here we go. You ready?”
He placed his hand behind my head and pulled me to him for a kiss.
“Ewww…”
We both looked back and then at each otherand smiled
“Come on baby, let’s go see tour grandma and your dad’s siblings.”
Tony carried Michael and we walked into the house.
“Hello everyone.”
It was like time stopped, everyone turned their heads to look at us, first at Michael then at me. I caught Eugenia’s eyes and resisted the urge to stick my tongue out at her. I wanted to make a good first impression on his family.
The silence broke and all at once everyone fell on me with hugs and kisses, I felt overwhelmed but Michael was in his element been the center of attention.
A tall woman with grey hair walked up to us with Eugenia trailing behind her, a smug look on her face. I’m guessing that’s her and Tony’s mother because they look very much alike.
“Mom, that’s the whore and her bastard.”
I was going to respond but then I felt Tony’s hand on mine.
“Mom, meet Amanda. Michael’s mother and my girlfriend. And Michael, my son.”
The woman’s eyes trailed from me to Michael and then settled on me, a smile spread across her face as she wrapped her arms around my shoulders and drew me into a hug.
“It’s nice to finally meet you, dear.”
“Thanks, Mrs. Watford.”
“Please, call me Elena.”
“Definitely.”
“Who is this little gentleman right here?”
“Hello, I Michael. I heard you’re my Granny.”
“I am most certainly your Granny. Why don’t you come along and see all the beautiful things your Granny got you.”
She motioned to us with her hand to come in and then lifted Michael on her hip and they disappeared to wherever.
We walked past Eugenia’s shocked and startled face and I couldn’t help but wink at her, which only made her face redder with anger. I love it.
We were welcomed warmly by the Watford family, excluding her royal bitchiness of course. Everyone was nice and we talked and laughed together, they loved Michael too and it made me hurt thinking how I almost denied him this by not wanting to let his father in. I felt a familiar pair of arms wrap around me and I leaned into them.
“What are you thinking?”
“About you and our son.”
“What about us?”
“I was thinking about how I would have denied myself and Michael this happiness we feel now.”
“It’s a good thing you didn’t because you make me happy, Amanda. You make me feel fulfilled.”
I should tell him about the pregnancy now.
“There is something I want to tell you.”
“Me too. Come with me.”
We left the rest of the party and went out the back where I was met with the most beautiful sight. Behind the house was a garden filled with probably every flower there was, I took in a deep breath and the sweet smell of fresh roses hit my nose with a vengeance. I turned around to find Tony on a knee and a ring in his hand.
“Amanda Josephine Brown, would you do me the greatest honor of been the latest Mrs. Watford?”
I nodded my head slowly, there’s no one else I’d rather call my husband.
“Yes.”
He slipped the ring on my finger and then rose and kissed me, we heard cheering from behind us and I looked to find the whole family cheering for us- all except Eugenia. She just scoffed and rolled her eyes at me. And then I saw Harry too, standing beside Elena and he had tears in his eyes. He nodded his head and raised his glass at me and I knew he approved.
“Tony, I’m pregnant.”
“Yeah, about a month went.”
Tony laughed and twirled me in his arms. We were going to be a real family.
I kissed Tony again and this time it wasn’t the cheers that stopped us.
“Ewwww… you guys need to stop doing this!”
