Authors pov
Serenity woke up with the groan and she had to open her eyes due to bright sunlight falling on her face.
She sat up resting her chin on her knees until her laziness fades away. She felt bed beneath her, not soft but little rough and dusty. She looked around and realised she is inside the hut. Deep frown spread over her face.
Last thing she remembered is being in Lucifer’s arms while screaming in agony. She isn’t feeling that pain anymore.
She looked beside her but no one was there, she found Lucifer’s jacket beside her and understood what made her fall asleep. His scent is enough.
It was small Hut made with bamboo trees. She can see moisture around it indicating that it was raining. It has one small window from where she can feel sunlight. She saw some things on the table in the corner which belongs to witches, herbs and few books with other witchy stuff.
She rubbed her face and stepped out of the bed, which was made up of bamboo trees too and had grass as a mattress.
As soon as she stepped out of the bed sharp pain shoot in her body like her bones are getting weak. She can feel weakness. She is smart enough to realise that she doesn’t have much time left.
She walked out of the small door and graced with cool air and fresh smell, with calming sound of running water of waterfall, chirping birds and huge green trees. It was rainforest.
Her eyes fell on the Lucifer who was doing pull ups with the branch of tree. His muscles flexed and her eyes roamed on his body. Beautiful body.
Her heart felt at peace when she saw her mark on his back like it has mind of it’s own. She thought it will disappear along with her powers but it’s prominent than before.
“I was going to stop but i can do it for some more time, if you are enjoying it.”
He said snapping her out of her daze. She looked at him smirking face and closed her eyes frustratingly.
“What is this place?”
She asked walking pass by him towards the river.
She knelt down and splashed water on her face.
Lucifer was awestruck as he saw that water splashing on her beautiful face which was glowing under golden sunlight. He missed this, he missed everything about her. He took a second and thanked moon godess that he is immortal and he will witness it for eternity.
Serenity stood up and pulled her shirt down, she was only in shirt which was Vincent’s. She wasn’t even wearing inners.
She looked at Lucifer as he didn’t replied and saw his looking at her with same look when he saw her for the first time. It was adoration and love.
“I asked you something”
She said looking away from him.
He chuckled at her cute voice which wasn’t threatening at all.
“I had to take you away from that place… Rituals were hurting you. Air and earth are still remaining.”
He replied.
“You should be the least person to care”
She said and started walking away.
“Why?”
He turned towards her and asked with sad voice.
“Because i killed your daughter”
Her words pierced through his heart.
Serenity took a step forward to go back but she couldn’t.
“I want to leave, break this spell…”
She demanded as she realised he has casted a spell around this place and she can’t cross it.
“It’s working, i thought it won’t… Sorry baby, i don’t want you to leave me.”
He Smirked and stood behind her, so close that his scent invaded her senses.
“So sad that you can’t break it… It’s my love for you, desire to keep close to me… It’s still stronger as before…”
He whispered in her ear.
“May be even more stronger.”
She didn’t react, refused to give him satisfaction.
“I love this, you know”
He grinned.
“Whatever this power is, it’s incredible…”
He leaned closer to her as she faced him with hard face.
“You are so powerful but you can’t break my bounds… No one can stop you but my love can!… This spell is proof that our bond is still strong as before.”
“It’s not because of you.”
She answered.
“It’s because my powers are centred around emotions… That why it’s stopping me.”
He smiled.
“Let me correct you, my love”
He rolled strand of her hair between his fingers.
“It’s because your powers are centred around strong emotions… And my love is stronger than your powers, that’s why I can stop you.”
She rolled her eyes and walked away.
“And you still love me serenity… That’s why you are letting it stop you…”
He said proudly.
She went inside and sat on the bed with sulking face. He followed her and sat beside her.
“Weather is nice… Do you wanna take a walk? Run may be? Let’s see if you are still faster than me.”
He suggested and she ignored, staring at nothing.
She can’t run with him even if she wants to.
Lucifer sighed at her behavior.
“Sera, I missed you”
Still nothing on her face.
“I have mourned for you for a century”
Still couldn’t see anything on her face.
“I have never felt that much pain before, not even when i was locked in the basement while my mother was abusing me”
Her eyes flickered and hope rose in his heart, she still cares about him.
“When she starved me for weeks… Mocked me while showing blood because she knew I want that. I crave for that.”
He saw her throat bobbing up and down, she was holding her tears back.
“But it hurt more when she did that to my brothers… I was a kid but feeling of responsible brother was still there…”
He looked at her and she has closed her eyes.
“She never really beat us but she didn’t stop others either… She never cared that we are her children… They made thousands of cuts on our body just to see how quick we are healing… Tried different spells, poisons, everything which could have killed us… I can’t forget that day when she dragged Nicolai away from us in another cage and whole night we heard his screams, I tried to cover my ears but___”
“STOP!”
She yelled at him as tears slide down from her eyes.
His eyes widened as he saw her eyes glowing, he can clearly see the rage in her eyes. He caught the glimpse of that serenity who has power to destroy this world.
