Nicolai was trying to find a good book to read but either he has already read them or they were not according to his interest.
He sighed frustratingly and walked towards the window. He stood there feeling the cool breeze, the environment there was really relaxing.
He looked at the well groomed garden and raised his eyebrows impressed. He frowned when he saw one girl near the well. He couldn’t understand what is she doing there.
But soon his heart skipped a beat when she turned around and familiar face came to his view.
He blinked his eyes thinking he is hallucinating but he wasn’t. He understood that she is the one who was cleaning the floor.
“Serenity?”
He mumbled and within seconds he was standing behind her.
When serenity turned around she froze in her place. Nicolai looked at her, after hundred years he was meeting her again.
Same face, same hair and same aura. He could feel everything as before.
He walked towards her and she stood there still. He went closer but couldn’t smell her scent. He frowned in confusion.
Then be saw the magic flower in her pocket, he scoffed.
“At least you are shameful enough to hide from us…”
Serenity always wonder what will he say to her after Meeting so long and this is what he said. Her heart broke into pieces but she didn’t react. She knows that their relationship has already taken its last breath there is no use of reviving it neither she has energy to do it.
“But you know what, darkness can’t be hidden…”
He spat.
Serenity looked away with straight face. Nicolai clenched his jaw and grabbed her chin making her look at him.
Her gree-blue eyes glowed like stars when her mate touched her after so long. Nicolai used to admire her this uniqueness but not anymore, his heart and mind is filled with hate and misunderstanding.
“Why are you here?… If you think you can come back into our lives then you are wrong. You have no place in our hearts… Stay away from me and my brothers, you have done enough damage…”
He let her go and stepped back. He looked at her hatefully and walked away.
Serenity turned around and tears escaped her eyes but she didn’t show him, she continued her work.
Nicolai closed his eyes in frustration. He acted rudely in front of her but in reality he wanted to hug her tightly, he wanted to kiss those beautiful lips and was dying to smell that divine scent again. His heart was hurting.
He walked away from her and let out the deep grunt as pain spread in his back.
“Fuck…”
He cursed. It was like all of them are getting punished for going against destiny.
His heart was beating rapidly after seeing her. For a second he thought about forgetting everything. He was eager to take her in his embrace.
“No, she doesn’t deserve it”
He stopped himself and walked towards their chamber.
“What happened?”
Vincent asked when Nicolai entered with sour mood.
“Nothing”
Nicolai grumbled madly.
“Where is Lucifer?”
He asked worriedly, he knows Lucifer will go crazy if he see her now.
“He is out in the forest… Needed some alone time.”
Vincent replied keeping his book aside.
“Nico, you are looking worried… What happened?”
Nicolai sighed and sat beside him.
“I don’t know why but It’s still hard for me to believe it… It’s like i am keeping myself in the dark… My heart says she is innocent but mind isn’t…”
Vincent patted his back.
“You are not the only one, it’s happening with all of us… But I am worried too, Nicolai… I am doubting our decisions… I can’t find answers to my questions… Where is she and what is doing?”
He sighed.
Nicolai gulped.
“Vincent”
He said and Vincent looked at him.
“Will you work like a servent if you are the most powerful in this world.”
He asked.
Vincent chuckled.
“What a stupid question… But why are you suddenly___”
He stopped as his head snapped towards the Nicolai, he understood about whom he is talking.
On other hand serenity hissed when robe bit into her skin. She let it go not wanting to mix her poisonous blood with sacred water.
She wrapped handkerchief around her hand and looked around tiredly. No one was there. As usual she headed towards the river.
“I hope it ends tonight… I can’t take that hate.”
She mumbled with wet eyes.
She jumped in the river letting her body go deep inside the water. Her lungs burned with lack of oxygen but soon it disappeared as always.
She couldn’t understand why she is not dying.
She swam towards the surface and inhaled deeply. She felt presence behind her and turned around in the water.
Her eyes met those grey eyes and her heart picked up the rhythm.
“Lucifer”
She breathed out.
