Abby sat aside obediently, not knowing what to say.
After a while, she heard the man’s soft voice. “Take a good rest today. You don’t need to go to work now.”

Abby thought this was a good suggestion. She didn’t go back home all night and wondered if her baby at home was worried sick.
Brian said again, “Why don’t you just live here? I can also take care of you. When you are better, I drive you to work.”
He looked up at her and noticed the strange look on her face, knowing that she had misunderstood him. Therefore, he explained, “Don’t worry, I won’t live here during the time when you’re here.”
“What? Where do you live?”
“I still have a place to live downtown.”
“Oh.” Abby nodded. Then, she shook her head again, “No, I have to go back. I haven’t come back home the whole night and I don’t know how to explain it to my parents.”
Hearing that, Brian’s eyes seemed to flash with disappointment, but he soon returned to normal.
He nodded and said, “Yeah. An unmarried girl staying out overnight will be indeed a bit worrying. In that case, I will drive you home.”
As the car started slowly, there was a trace of sadness in Abby’s bright beautiful eyes.
He didn’t know that she, an unmarried girl, was already the mother of a child…
The car stopped a few hundred meters from Abby’s home. Abby thanked him and got out of the car.
“Abby.”
“Yes?” Abby turned her head and looked at him.
“Do you live with your parents now?” Brian didn’t know why he asked.
“Yeah, what’s the matter?” Abby didn’t understand why he asked this but she just replied subconsciously.
“It’s nothing. Take a good rest and come back to the company for work tomorrow.”
Brian suddenly became pleasant again. His lips curved in a smile, which made him look sex and attractive.
“Goodbye! Mr. Davies.” Abby said goodbye to him politely.

In Abby’s house, people could hear the cry of a child in the house from far away, as well as the coaxing of adults.
Ethan Jones cried fiercely, his little hands and legs thumping constantly.
“I want mommy. I want mommy. Give me back my mommy… You are bad guys. You have hidden my mommy. Give me back mommy…”
Tina, Tim, and the servants at home were all making every effort to comfort him.
Eva snarled upstairs, “It’s so annoying! Can you let me sleep?!”
When Abby heard Ethan’s cry, her heart ached. She hurriedly ran into the house and opened the door.

“Ethan.” As soon as Ethan heard the familiar voice, he stopped crying and yelled, “Mommy.” Then he rushed towards Abby.
Tina finally breathed a sigh of relief and then asked with a slight hint of accusation in her tone, “Abby, where were you night? You didn’t even answer your phone. We’re worried sick about you.”
Abby wanted to lie to them about working overtime in the company. But she should be able to answer the phone even if she worked overtime. Therefore, she had to tell the truth. Actually, she did stay in the police station all night before they allowed her to go home the next day.
Abby didn’t expect that Tina would be so concerned about her.
“Abby, are you okay? They didn’t arrest you, did they? Now you’re clean, right? By the way, did they do anything to your personal information?”
Abby shook her head, “No, they didn’t. I am innocent and they found those things.”
Tina nodded in shock, “That’s fine.”
The mentally disabled man’s father was a man of reputation in G City. If Abby had any shameful conviction, he wouldn’t let her marry his son.
In this way, she would get nothing.
What a false alarm.
That afternoon, a piece of breaking news shocked City G like a bomb.
Started from the director of the Public Security Bureau of City G, all the officers were replaced. A large number of journalists flocked to the door of the police station. With the spotlights flashing, all kinds of questions and doubts were everywhere like gunpowder.
The high-level leaders were afraid of accidents, so they ordered special forces to guard the bureau. It was not until night fell that the reporters who were questioning gradually dispersed. Not long after that, people with all kinds of speculations and assumptions described this issue vividly.
Abby only learned about it when watching TV at night.
Ethan was playing with her at that time. When she saw the news on TV, she was amazed. She hurriedly asked Ethan to play aside and then watched the news seriously.
It seemed that this was particularly important, which occupied more than ten minutes of the prime time.
It basically said that the former director was corrupt. He gathered crowds to take drugs and had an extravagant private life. He owned many unknown properties in G City with more than a dozen mistresses around him…
Abby vaguely felt that this issue seemed to have something to do with her.
And the mastermind behind this whole thing should be Brian Davies.
She never thought that Brian was so capable. In only half of a day, a person in a high position was forced to stand down. Even his private life was fully exposed.
He was extremely brisk.
However, there was one more thing that would shock her.
The next day, Abby went to work.
As soon as she arrived at the entrance of the building of their company, she saw a security-dressed staff member trotting towards her all the way and bowing to her respectfully.
“Good morning, Ms. Jones!”
Abby was stunned by the sudden move and nodded, “Hello, hello.”
She walked past here every day and probably already knew the faces of the security guards. But she didn’t seem to see this one before.
When she walked to her office chair, Luka raced to her with a shrewd look as expected.
“Abby, did you know that the security on all floors of our company has been replaced.”
“What… Really?” No wonder she thought there were so many new faces.
Luka grinned wickedly. “There is something more exciting. Do you know Luna? She was almost fried by the president.”
Abby was so surprised that her mouth was open.
“However, she didn’t get fired eventually. But she won’t be the vice president anymore.” Luka said, feeling relieved. “Humph. She fell hard this time. Now let’s see how she can be so cocky.”
“Then what position is she now?”
“I heard that she was transferred to the Finance Department. I don’t know the specific position.”
Abby was full of doubts and wanted to ask something, but the meeting began, so she got up and left her seat.
