Book:The Love of the CEO Published:2024-5-1

Abby bent to carry her little pudgy guy from the pool and wrapped him up with a thin blanket.
Ethan held her neck tightly, spoke with his sweet voice which specially belonged to kids, “Abby, are you afraid of that handsome uncle?”
“Who?”
“The person just now.”
Abby frowned secretly. The feeling of being seen through welled up in her mind again. But she explained with a soft voice, “No. It’s so kind of him. Don’t forget we are living in his house.”
Ethan blinked his big black eyes and said to himself, “He is certainly handsome. But compared with the annoying uncle, he was less handsome.”
Abby didn’t pay attention to his words, considering he was sleepy.
She put Ethan on the bed as usual. Then she turned on her laptop and sorted out the files needed for next week.
“Mom——”
Behind her came the gentle call of Ethan.
She turned her head and saw Ethan’s naked body rolled out of the blanket. With hands on his chins, he looked at her while lying.
Abby, smiling, scratched the tip of her nose and said, “You make me shy.”
Ethan laughed and covered his face.
Then Abby continued to work.
In a little while, she heard the little guy behind her called her again.
“Mom——”
The voice at this time was sweeter than the last time.
Abby had no choice but to shut her notebook. She came to the bedside, asked softly, “What’s the matter, Ethan? Why don’t you sleep?”
The little guy turned over, and his round belly was out.
Abby pinched the tip of his small nose and helped him cover the sheet again.
“Ethan, is there something on your mind?”
Abby knew Ethan’s character well. He must do that because of something on his mind.
Sure enough, Ethan got into Abby’s arms and pursed his little pink mouth.
“Mom, when will we have a home?”
Abby’s heart fluttered.
She hasted to hug her little son in her arms, “Baby, aren’t we always at home?”
The baby in her arms shook his head, “No. Here is Elaine’s home, not me and mommy’s. I want a home only belongs to Abby and Ethan. Can we?”
Abby felt a little bit sad. Her eyes were wet like being filled with water.
“Ok. I promise that I will finish this task soon and make Ethan have his own home.”
Hearing her words, the little guy recovered from his bad moods and became excited to shout out.
“Hail to my mom! Hail to my mom!”
Abby covered Ethan’s mouth in a hurry. They laughed together.
The next morning, Abby was searching some rental information of G City on the Internet. Suddenly, a phone call broke the silence.
“Hello, who’s this?” Abby picked up her phone, glanced at the screen and found the number was from G City. So she asked politely.
“…Abby!”
A man’s low trembling voice came from the other end of the phone.
Tears gushed from Abby’s eyes at once.
In a taxi, Ethan looked at the bustling metropolis outside, hands pressing against the car window.
“Abby, where are we going? Amusement park?”
Abby shook her head. She was unable to cover her excitement on her charming beautiful face.
“We are going to visit your grandpa.”
“Grandpa?” The kid was confused. It seemed that the person had never appeared in his memory. “Who is grandpa?”
“You’ll see when we get there.”
They got off the taxi at the gate of Triumphal Arch Hotel. The doorman came out to receive them from a distance and led them into the hotel.
The Triumphal Arch Hotel was one of the top five-star chain hotels in G city. It was said that the owner had a good relationship with the young generation of the Davies. Therefore, the business of the hotel was extremely brisk. Their customers were celebrities and rich people, which was the same as the Palace Hotel.
With a waiter’s guide, Abby and Ethan came to the box called Moon.
Pushing open the door of the box, Abby saw that Tim Jones sitting alone in the huge room.
“…Dad!” Abby’s voice trembled, and the crystal clear tears welled up in her eyes.
“Abby.” Tim got up, his voice also mixed with some emotions.
“Dad.” Abby called him again. She ran to him and threw herself into his arms.
“Kid, I’m glad that you have come back.” Tim was patting Abby’s shoulder, eyes full of love. He held Abby’s frail hand, his hands shaking.
Abby was virtually flattered.
At the beginning, her father was so determined to send her to the countryside. She thought that he would never forgive her in his life. But she didn’t expect that now…
Tim understood what she was thinking, “Abby, you should know why I did that to you in the old days…”
He had always been that kind of both strict and kind father in her impression. He had never said such kind of euphemistic and timid words.
Abby was moved, and her tears kept falling down.
Tim lowered his head. His eyes were full of surprise when falling on the little boy standing next to Abby. The kid was very cute and energetic.
He stared at Ethan. His eyes, eyebrows and even verve were all like an exquisite version of Abby.
Abby also had eased her mood. She took Ethan’s hand and brought him to her father. “Ethan, do you know who he is? He’s your grandpa and my dad.”
“Hello, grandpa.” Ethan called out sweetly, “I wish you a younger and healthier life.”
“Oh, dear grandson, come and have a hug.”
Tim was both happy and excited. He bent slightly to hold Ethan and then got close to observe his face.
He had to say, this little guy’s eyes and eyebrows were really wonderful.
The black eyebrows, big black eyes… And no matter the outline of his face or the bridge of his nose could be described as the most beautiful one.
“Well done! You are really a good boy. I love you.” Tim was really very happy. He took a brown envelope out of his pocket. The envelope was bulging. He tucked it into Ethan’s arms, “Come on, grandson. Grandpa is going to give you a big meeting gift.”
“Thank you, grandpa. It’s very kind of you.” The child’s mouth was sweet like honey.
Tim laughed.
Abby was worried that her father couldn’t bear the weight of Ethan, so she winked at Ethan.
“Ethan, come down. You’re too heavy. If grandpa holds you for a long time, he will get tired.”
