Third Person’s POV

“Daniel, only males, are participating in the war, isn’t it?” Evangeline asked to confirm this fact because she didn’t want females to participate in it as they were hardly taking training for the last fourteen to fifteen days.
“No, sister-in-law. Each and everyone is fighting for you to keep you safe.”, Nora replied instead of Daniel.
“But you all the not well trained, and what if something goes wrong?” Evangeline tried to make them understand.
“We can’t risk your life, Eva! And if something goes wrong, then we know that you are there with us to make things right. In other even if you won’t be able to do that, I don’t think anyone can stay alive for long when there is a monster out there.”, Daniel’s mom added.
Evangeline didn’t say anything about this because she knew that somehow they were right. “By the way, I have a plan. Though I’m not sure this is work or not because SHE knows that I can control over time, so she might end up changing her plan at the last moment.”
“What’s that?”
Evangeline explained to them my plan to them and asked Daniel to share the same with all the pack females through the link. She knew even though they wanted to fight, many of their mates still wanted their safety, so unlike the males, it would be better to stay together and attack their enemies in the group instead of fighting with them one to one.
Those teenagers who wanted to fight but didn’t attend eighteen, but had been training for years, were provided with silver daggers and guns loaded with liquid silver with the help of hunters. It came to know that a few hunter’s clans wanted to help because a lot of them were either killed by the vampires or turned into vampires.
The border was sealed from all the sides of the pack so no vampire could enter inside without their permission.
While the trainers were giving the last piece of advice to their students before the real war, at the same time, Daniel was busy preparing for everything. Evangeline was working to unlock her full power, but she was failing again and again.

Evangeline’s POV (Sorry for quickly changing the POV, but I was making a lot of I, she, he mistakes when I started writing the chapter in third person POV. So, I switched back to the original one, and I’m feeling too lazy to edit the above paragraph.)

‘Concentrate, Eva! Concentrate!’ Ivory kept motivating me, and the next thing I knew, I was in the hospital, and mom was writing a diary. A familiar diary which I had received on the day of my wedding.
I looked around, and I remembered staying in this hospital when mom was admitted here.
“How did you come?” Mom asked, narrowing her eyes and closing her diary.
Was I really here?
It meant this time I was not just seeing things, but I was here for real.
I saw mom looking at me intently before speaking, “You look just like me. Just a little more fashionable than me. Who are you? And from where you dropped here?”
“Mom,” I chirped and ran toward her to hug her tightly. At the same time, she didn’t hug me back. But I could already feel that she was too alert because of my sudden outburst.
“Mom?”
I quickly broke the hug, knowing that she was sick, and I didn’t want to kill her by crushing her in my arms. “I’m sorry! I should have done that.”
“Yeah! Calling a young lady, almost of your age, as your mom is a little rude.”, She pointed out.
“No! No! No! I didn’t mean that Mom.”, I tried to explain.
“Again, Mom?”, She narrowed her eyes, but her voice was still soft when she spoke, “The last thing I remember is that my daughter is of six years old. Not an adult like you.”,
“Yes. I know that, Mom. And that daughter is me, Evangeline.” I couldn’t believe that I needed to give my own introduction to my own mother. “And that’s the diary which you are writing is for me which Alpha Williams or say dad will give it to me at my wedding.” I said something which could make her believe that whatever I was saying was the truth.
“How…?” Tears started dwelling in my eyes, and a smile appeared on her lips. “Is that really you, Eva?”, She said to reconfirm, while tears were rolling out of her eyes.
Yes! That was my mom.
Who was happy to see her child, not that psycho who came to visit me to kill me.
I nodded my eyes, and tears started dwelling in my eyes as well.
“Come here? Give you mama a hug again”, She said, opening both of her arms for me, and I wasted no time hugging her back. “I’m sorry for being rude.”
“It’s okay, Mom. Your expression was completely normal; if you would have not questioned me like that, that wouldn’t have been normal.”, I said, breaking the hug.
“You have grown up as such a beautiful woman.”, She said, caressing my face.
“Well, what can I say? I have taken it from my mom.”, I complimented her back. She smiled, and immediately her expression changed.
“Why are you here, Eva? And how come you are here in the past?”
“The spell broke the day when I met my mate.”
“That’s a piece of great news! Congratulations, princess! How’s he? Does your mate love you? Are you happy there in the future? Do you have pups as well? Did you forgive me for all the things which I kept hidden from…”, She was bombarded with so many questions, but she stopped in the middle of the questions herself. “Why am I asking this? I’ll be there to see everything on my own.”, She smiled, shaking her head. “So, why do you spoil the things by knowing everything at present.”
“No, mom,” I said, shaking my head. “I’m here to stop from taking the decision of being a vampire.”
“But why, princess? Don’t you want me to be there with you all the time? I know that will be impossible in the sunlight, but we can spend many nights together like a complete family.”, She tried to explain to me with a big smile on her face.
I didn’t want to tell the things that were happening in the future because it would break her break.
“Mom, there is something that will ruin everyone’s life if you will turn into a vampire.”, I said, holding her hand.
“And…and I am the reason for that?”, She asked in a low tone. I nodded my head.
“Please, Mom. Please change your decision. I reque….”
“Ssshhh!! You don’t have to beg in front of me, princess. If you ask me, then my main reason is to turning into a vampire is YOU. I want to watch you, see you growing, getting married to your mate, see my grandkids, and all the things that revolve around you. And if you are saying so, then I’m sure there will be some reason. I will not be a vampire.”, She said, cutting me in between. “I have already seen you now, happily claimed and mated with your mate, and that’s enough for me to die in peace.”
“Thank you, Mom.”
“So, now that I’m not dying today, so can we spend some time together? Just to know you better and enjoy some time with you before leaving this world, huh?”
My eyes brighten because of happiness. But then I need to check in the present time whether this conversation was making any difference or not.
If yes, then I could spend my time with her.
If NOT, then I would have to stop my father.
“I would love to spend time with you, Mom. But before that, I need to check the situations in my time to see whether our conversation made the situation different.”
“Oh, okay! What’s happening there? Because I can feel whatever it is, it is not good.”
“Yeah! Just don’t forget to update your diary because I want to know what else happened when I left from here.”
“Sure, darling.”
I closed my eyes and concentrated on the present time. My body froze when I heard the sound of growling and fighting. I looked around out of the window. A war was going on outside.
Damn it!
Why didn’t anything change?
I didn’t have much time to think about that part. I checked the time; it was just seven, so they had attacked five hours before. That’s people say the future is unpredictable.
‘In that way, maybe our first pup can be a girl, right?’ Ivory said.
‘They came earlier, but they came. In the same whenever our first pup will come, it will be a BOY. Now, shut u…. Aaahhh!’
‘Mate is hurt.’
I quickly ran from room to outside and looked for Daniel. A bunch of twelve to thirteen vampires was attacking him, and he was trying his best to deal with them alone.
I ran toward him and ripped the head of those fledglings out of their body.
‘Angel? Where the hell were you?’ Daniel asked through the mind link. ‘I thought you got kidnapped on your own.’, Saying this, he ripped the head of those vampires.
‘I’m fine, don’t worry. What’s the status?’ I responded, fighting with other fledglings.
‘Bad. Even though she’s not able to control anyone’s mind, we are still losing to vampires because their numbers are enormous and not ending at all. And they won’t settle down until their queen is dead.’
‘And how can she not able to control anyone’s mind?’
‘Your father’s blood somehow helped with that power. I think now I’m a werewolf with a gift, just like vampires.’, he responded and then yelled. ‘God dammnit! Everyone is now targeting you.’
I realized that he was wrong about that part.
They were not targeting me but the person who was protecting everyone with his shield power.
‘Not me, but you.’, I responded and started protecting Daniel because if anything would happen to him, then everyone was in great danger.
Thankfully, those vampires who were in our teams also joined the fight.
“Vincent, protect Daniel.”, I yelled, killing the vampires in front of me. I kept fighting fledglings until she appeared in front of me.
‘Diana, I hope you are exactly the same as what I had asked you to be.’ I mindlink her.
‘Don’t worry, I invited them in the pack and gained her trust, and I’m on duty with Stephen to recover all the Elders from her control.’
‘Perfect.’ I had made this plan in case I wouldn’t be able to time travel by the time of the war.
‘Silas?’
‘Don’t worry, Tigress! I will protect your mate with my life.’
‘Thank you.’
“I see you tried to change my human’s mind.”, She hissed. It meant she knew what I had traveled back in the time. “But thankfully, Orpheus changed my mind; otherwise, you were almost successful and had swiped my existence from the world.”, She added.
“Trust me, I will do that again.”, I responded back.
And this was it.
We ran toward it each to kill each other. If she had trained herself to fight as a vampire for the last 17 years, then I had been training myself as a human for the last 17 years as I had to use my human training with my powers together.
Whenever I used to overpower her, her minions used to enter into the fight against me.
“Your mate…”, She said, and immediately my focus diverted, and the next thing I knew that she stabbed me with the silver dagger on my left chest.
“Aahhhh!!”
“ANGEL”
“Die bitch!!”, Saying this, she twisted the dagger in my chest and pushed me away; I landed in Daniel’s arms. He had turned into a human and held me in his arms.
‘Angel…No! No! No!”, He cried.
The moment his focus shifted, all the people who were protected till now were in her control, including me.
“Eva! My child, now killed your own mate with the dagger which I inserted in your heart. So that you can die peacefully”, She said.
I nodded my head, and my body acted just as per her order. I pulled out my dagger from my chest and raised it to kill Daniel, and he was doing nothing to protect himself.
