Evangeline’s POV

“Brother!” Stephen jumped on Daniel to hug him tightly when his eyes landed on him. “Thank god! You’re fine. I could see that everyone was happy except two people.
One, Aunt Emma.
And second, Diana, she looked really upset and was looking at me. But I didn’t let her emotions and eyes fool me. She told me that Silas left for the coven but why the hell would Silas leave for the coven by informing her in the first place?
“Dad, you will be handling the pack duties because I’m going outside with Angel.”
“But Dan, you have just….”
“I have some important work.”, he said, cutting him in between and may explain the other things through the mind link. “Also, Stephen, you should leave for your pack. I’m sure you will have a lot of work over there; after all, you will have to start everything from scratch.”
“But brother…”
“I will appreciate it if you will do just like I say.”, Daniel said sternly. Stephen looked at me so that I could convince him, but I wouldn’t do anything like that.
“Oh, okay!”, He reluctantly agreed. “Sister-in-law, I found a house just like you said.”
“Perfect. Now, lock your mate in it.”, Ivory said, releasing her aura.
“You got to be kidding me.”, Diana yelled. “My mate will never do that to me.”
“Trust me, Stephen. Do that if you want to keep your mate alive. Otherwise, I’m not sure that I can keep your mate safe from me.”
“Okay!”
“You bitch! How dare you use your alpha tone on my mate to keep him away from my mate”, She screeched.
“Try me! I can do a lot more than that. Maybe bite your mate and let him bleed to death.”, Ivory challenged her. “And trust me, you won’t be able a do a thing except from seeing your mate dying in front of your eyes.”, She added with a TSK sound. I wondered why she was testing Diana’s patience.
“You…”, Her eyes turned golden and shifted into her little grey wolf and lunged at me. She just stayed at the original place. Just the way everyone moved away, I could say that Daniel might at mind linked them to step away from here. Diana jumped on us, but Ivory grabbed her by holding her neck with one simple hand and threw her away, breaking a lot of things in the living room broke down. I wanted to stop Ivory from hurting her, but somehow I controlled myself. Ivory growled at her and shifted before lunging at Diana. In one swift move, she clamped her canine into her neck. Stephen stepped forward, but Daniel held his hand. Diana whimpered, still wiggling, but Ivory bit her a little harder, not until she submitted in front of her. Ivory let go of her and stepped back, giving me control. I shifted back into my human form, and as usual, her clothes were intact.
“Stephen, lock her up,” I ordered.
“Why?” he asked in pain.
“Because the Diana whom I know can never…NEVER attack me.”, I responded. “I have known my roommate for years. So, do what I said.”
“Okay”
“Let go, Daniel.”, I said, forwarding my hand toward my mate. The moment I stepped out, I saw a lot of females were getting trained of all age groups in front of the field of the packhouse! I couldn’t stop myself from checking around because other things could wait for a while. I observed the trainer who was training them was highly trained.
Was I dreaming?
When did this happen?
The last time I checked, females were for the kitchen and handling the households.
“Luna,” One of the trainers who were training kids greeted me. And in no time, all the kids lunged around my legs, happily leaving their training.
“Luna, Mom told me how you fought bravely with the vampires.”
“Yes, I want to become like you when I grow older.”
“Just like you, stronger and braver.”
“And that won’t be possible for you if you guys are going to lung on my legs leaving the training. So, go back to your training.”, I said sternly.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t want to interrupt; please continue!” I said, trying to excuse myself.
“It’s okay, Luna!” he said with a small smile. He looked like an old man in his seventies and with a lot of experience in the things which he was doing. “I heard how you fought bravely with the vampires, but at the same time, I would suggest that you should train yourself to improve your skill.”, he added.
“Sure. I will. Would you mind training…”, Before I could have completed my question, I was cut in between.
“I will train you personally.”, He said, snaking his arms around my waist.
The trainer chuckled before speaking, “Well, my best student wants to train you. So, I don’t think you can find a better trainer than him.” I blushed hearing his comment.
“Then can Alpha train me too?”, A cute little girl asked innocently, on which my mate frowned looking at her.
“Even me? I want to take training from the best trainer.”, Another one said, raising her hand. I wanted to laugh at my mate’s expression, whose eyes were now the size of soccer.
“Please train me too, Alpha,” the third one said.
“I spanked a lot who talks more than training. Do you guys want some?” Daniel asked them strictly, and everyone got back to training.
I left from there with a smile on my face.
“If I will train those little devils, then who would train the warriors?” he mumbled. I couldn’t believe that my mate scared all the cute little munchkins. “How did this all happen?” I asked, still having a hard time believing what I saw.
“Nothing much. Just a stupid alpha realized his mistake and tried everything in his power to correct his mistake.”, He said nonchalantly.
“Or he is trying to impress his mate?” I teased.
“Well, he doesn’t need to impress his mate because his mate is already impressed with him.”, he said proudly. “Not just she is impressed with him but also loves him.”, he added.
“Hmm. That’s true. She loves him a lot.”, I responded and leaned toward his cheek to kiss him, but he turned his head, and accidentally I kissed his lips. I tried to pull away, but he held my neck, stopping my head from moving away, and kissed me passionately, halting in the middle of the field.
Oh no!
‘Oh yes!’ Ivory howled happily. I tried to push him, but he didn’t buzz; at last, I ended up kissing him back.
“I love you too.”, he said, loud and clear. I was sure many of them would have heard that even if they were not trying to listen to our conversation before.

“Why are you here again?”, My stepmother yelled, seeing me. “Aren’t you and your husband happy but spoiling my daughter’s life?”
What was she talking about?
Was Aleena home?
“Is this the way you talk with my wife?” Daniel’s voice came behind me. We both ran in our wolf form to reach here. While he was taking his time to wear clothes, I walked inside.
“Al.. Alpha Daniel.”, She stammered. And immediately, her tone changed. “How.. how are you?”
“Please hold this formal conversation.”, I said, cutting the formalities. “What happed to Aleena? And how come my husband spoiled her life?” I asked in confusion.
Immediately my stepmother laughed nervously. “I…I didn’t mean to say that.”
“Yeah! Right.”, Daniel muttered, narrowing his eyes.
“Dan, what is she talking about?” I asked my mate.
“Dan?”, My stepmother’s eyes came out of the socket hearing the nickname which I used for my mate. “Sweetheart, it’s good to see that your bond with your husband is improving me.”
“Nothing much!”, My mate answered, ignoring the compliment that he had just received. “Her mate was the Alpha of Fire Cross Pack. So, at first, Stephen threw that Alpha from his pack, and today he killed him during the fight. If killing that cruel Alpha is spoiling her daughter’s life, and YES, we somehow did it.”, Daniel said without any guilt.
‘I should check on Aleena.’, I thought and was about to open my mouth when he beat me.
“I will be waiting for you in Alpha Williams’s office.”, Saying this, he left from there.
Once he left, I turned my head toward my stepmother.
“Why was he smelling like you?”, She asked, furrowing her eyebrow.
“Because I marked him.”, I responded with a smile.
“Mark him? How is that possible?”, She asked, shaking her head.
“By this.”, I said, and soon my canines and the claws started to appear. Her eyes widened again. I used my Alpha aura, making her realize with whom she was messing, and the next thing I knew, she was trembling in fear.
Leaving her in that state, I went toward Aleena’s room to check on her but just like I had except, she shut me down and said show me the way to getting out of the room.
‘She’s a bitch, just like her mother.’, Ivory commented, but I didn’t say anything about it. Because I didn’t know how did it feel like to lose our mate?
Maybe she was bad, but she didn’t deserve this.
Losing the mate was the biggest pain in any werewolf’s life. I could just pray to Moon Goddess for her better future ahead.

I entered Dad’s office and saw the tensed expression on both dad’s and Daniel’s faces.
“What’s wrong?” I asked, knowing that whatever I was going to hear from them was not a piece of great news.
“Umm…Alpha Williams just said that you had a twins sister, but she was born dead.”, Daniel’s said and passed a photograph to me. “Here! This is the only photo which he had.” I saw it was a photo of my mom holding two babies with tears in her eyes and the other photo was of two identical infant twins. I was having had time to realize that who I was among this.
“Your mom had requested to take this picture as a first and last memory for her second child.”, Dad said, to which I nodded my head.
No one told me about her. But then, a lot of things were not shared with him. So, I couldn’t start complaining about it, could I?
“What was her name?”
“Evelyn,” Dad replied.
‘Why do I feel that things are not exactly what they look like?’ Ivory asked, and I agreed with her. I was not doubting my dad was lying, but the complete truth was definitely missing. ‘Your second father…he might be knowing something that others could have missed.’, She said the same thing which I was thinking.
‘Yes! And as per Vincent, he used to keep an eye on me until he realized that I was smart enough to take care of myself. His visits became irregular after I turned ten. So, let’s pay him a visit! We have to meet him. He stayed away from us during those fourteen days, but he couldn’t stay away from us anymore.’, I said. ‘But the way, he would be fine, right? What if that Psyco would have reached there with the help of Silas?’, I asked, getting worried.
‘Yes. And we can’t take our mate there. He is a werewolf, and I’m sure hell will break down if he will reach there.’, I asked in tension.
‘Don’t worry about them. Remember, Vincent has the power to see a glimpse of the future. I’m sure nothing would happen to anyone.’
‘Our mate is looking at us. How are you going to fool him? Because of the look he is giving to us; it doesn’t look like he will let us go anywhere alone.’
‘I agree. How about I flew away without telling him?’
“Don’t even think about doing that.”, Daniel said, widening my eyes.
