Silas’s POV (Just after leaving Daniel and Evangeline’s Room)

“Hellloooo, beautiful!” I greeted her sarcastically, and she screamed loudly, trying to run away from me.
“Easy, lady! I have the sensitive ears.”, I said, rubbing my ear before she could have run out. I was standing in front of the door, blocking her way. “I have to talk with you.”, I said, showing her the way toward the blood.
“I…I…”
“No matter how much you scream and cry for help, no one will be able to listen to you because of the soundproof room.”, I said nonchalantly.
“Daniel, Stephen, Nora, Diana, Evangeline.”, She shouted everyone’s name, and I shut my ear from bleeding.
“Are you done? Now can we talk, Emma?” I asked, arching my brow. “Now sit on the bed without creating any fuss, or I will have to do that forcefully.”, I threatened.
Thankfully she did what I asked her to do.
“What do you want from me?”, She asked in fear.
“Some answers. That’s it. And let me warn you that if ye will lie to me, then I would suck all the blood out of the vein.”, I said calmly with a small smile on my face. “I will get to know that hearing your heartbeat, so dare you to try to play smart.”
“O. okay!”
“Now, tell me, why did you invite vampires into the packhouse?” I asked.
“Excuse me? Why will I do that?”, She asked in confusion.
“I’m the one who is asking questions, so answer me directly instead of asking questions in return.”, I reminded her.
“No. I didn’t invite vampires. I have always hated Daniel in my life, and my hate for him was not that much that I would end up risking everyone’s life.”, She answered and heard her heartbeat. I knew she was telling the truth.
“Do you have asked anyone to do that?” I asked.
She shook her head before speaking. “No. As I told you before that I hate Daniel, but I’m not some sort of psycho who will invite their own enemies into the packhouse. Not to forget, I’m a human now, so anyone who will be in danger because of this stunt will be me.”
“Okay. But one of my friends who can see a glimpse of the future said that someone wearing a black coat had done this. And coincidently, I saw your black coat in the cloakroom.”
“What kind of absurd is this? Why will I need a coat in summer? A black coat is required by vampires to save themself in the summer or winter or in all seasons.”, She said, and when she saw me narrowing my eyes, she said the answer which I wanted to hear. “I have nothing to do with that black coat. Moreover, I had given my black coat to Nora last winter.”, She said.
“Nora? Hmm! Do you think she can do this?” I asked her.
“I don’t know. It’s not that I can read her mind. You can figure out who is lying and who is not, then why don’t you do that yourself?”
“Anyone else on which you have any doubt?” I asked one last question.
She thought for a while and then shook her head. “No. I doubt any of us is fond of vampires.”
“Thank you, Emma.”

“I need to talk with you.”, I said, on which she screamed loudly at my sudden appearance in her room. “Mother Selene, I will end up losing my healing powers.”
“Moon Goddess! You scared me, Silas. What are you doing in my room? And don’t you have manners that one should enter in girls’ room by knocking on the door? What if I would have been laying naked here?”, She scolded, crossing her arms around her chest. And accidentally, my eyes landed on her boobs.
‘Why does any girl do that? To make their boobs look bigger than before?’ I quickly shook my head and focused my mind on the investigation which I was doing.
“You can scold me later. I need some answers from you, and it is related to the incident that happened today.”, I said, on which her expression changed from angry one to serious one.
“What is it?”, She said.
“Please be specific to the answer instead of giving me the details, okay?” I said, and she nodded her head. “Great. Did you invite the vampires into the packhouse?”
“No.”
“Do you have any doubt about anyone?”
“Aunt Emma.”
“Unfortunately, she is not the one. But one of my friends who can see a glimpse of the future said that someone wearing a black coat had done this. And coincidently, I saw Aunt Emma’s black coat in the cloakroom which she had given to you in the last winter.”
“Yes, that’s true that she had given the coat to me at my request, but later I realized that the coat is too old fashioned for a youngster like me, so I gave that coat to mom.”, She responded, and I knew she was speaking the truth.

“I need some answers from you, and it is related to the incident that happened today.”, I said to Nora’s mom, who was busy in the kitchen, cooking snacks for everyone.
“What is it?”, She said.
“Please be specific to the answer instead of giving me the details, okay?” I said, and she nodded her head. “Great. Did you invite the vampires into the packhouse?”
“No.”
“Do you have any doubt about anyone?”
“Emma.”, She replied after thinking for a while. “But then I don’t think she can do that because she can’t hate everyone in the pack, and most importantly, she hates vampires.”
“Oh, okay! One of my friends who can see a glimpse of the future said that someone wearing a black coat had done this. And coincidently, I saw Aunt Emma’s black coat in the cloakroom, which she had given to Nora in the last winter, and she had given to you .”
“Yes, that’s true that she had given the coat to me on my request, but I gave it to Diana when she asked for it.”, She responded.
“She asked for a coat in summer?” I asked in surprise, and even her eyes widened when we thought about the same thing at the same time.
“Do you think she….”, She didn’t complete the sentence. I quickly ran toward her room, and Nora’s mom followed me.
“You stay here. I will deal with her on my own.”, I said, stopping her.
“But…”
“Please, Mrs. Grint.”
As usual, I used the window to enter inside and found Diana playing with the knife.
“I see… you figure about her too soon.”, Diana said with a sinister smile. Though it was coming from her mouth, it was not her who was speaking.
“Diana?” I called her name, but she didn’t acknowledge it. At the same time, I saw someone behind her. I tried to see the face of that person but started getting hypnotized. For a while, I thought that Evangeline would rewind the time after sensing me in danger, but then I realized that when I had felt her, she wasn’t in her sense. I wondered if she could realize this time or not?
Damn it!
Soon the person standing behind Diana came in front, and my eyes widened, realizing who the hell she was!
‘Eva! Eva! You won’t believe it..’ I couldn’t mind linking her after that.
“Now! Now! Now! Both of her guardians are in my control.”, She smiled. I felt like I was trapped in my own body. “You both will do just like I will say.” I tried not to nod, but still, I did. It meant even Diana was doing all this out of her will.
“You both were like her hands which I took from her. Now the remaining biggest strength of her life is her MATE. I need to control his mind now.”, She started, planning what she was doing to do next. “Diana, I think you will be in big trouble today, and your best friend may kick your ass for hiding the truth from her but handle the situation wisely if you don’t want your mate to get hurt. That foolish mutt can smell your emotions which are pure for her but not your brain, so don’t try to be over smart.”, She ordered and then looked at me.
“You don’t have any weakness, Silas. So, right now, I don’t have anything to use against you. That’s why I can’t let you stay here. instead, you will be showing me the way to the Coven.”
‘No way! I won’t do that.’, I screamed at her.
“Okay, My lady.”, I heard my own voice betraying me. This was no good. Not at all.
“Repeat that ‘I’m leaving for the coven, Diana.'”
“I’m leaving for the coven, Diana’.”
“Perfect. Now, Diana, you won’t have any problem in telling the same line to her because that won’t be a lie.”, She said, grinning evilly.
But little did she know that Evangeline already knew that some time was going to happen to me.
She would figure out that something was fishy no matter how many plans you would make.

Evangeline’s POV

I cursed at myself food for taking out so much blood from my mate; even Ivory was mad at me, but I had warned him earlier about it. Thankfully, my concise just woken up hearing his painful voice; otherwise, I would have ended up killing him for sure. I needed to get control over it. As per Silas, I was doing great as a fledgling; otherwise, even the good vampire who didn’t want to hurt humans had ended up taking the lives of innocent people when they were fledgling. It tools years for them to control their trust for the blood, and I was doing great from my initial days, and for that, I would give credit to my Lycan.
After changing my clothes, I checked on Dan again, and I could see that he was getting better. So, hopefully, he would be fine within an hour or two. And until then, I could see the work which was pending for a while.
I closed the door behind me; I walked out in search of that face whom I wanted to kill with my bare hand. And there she was!
Everyone sensed my presence instantly.
“Eva! How are you feeling now?” Mom asked, but I didn’t reply to her and using my superhuman speed, I reached near my so-called roommate.
“Did something happen to my mate when I was away?” I asked.
“Eva…”
“YES or NO. Answer in one word.”, I said sternly, using my Alpha tone. Ivory wanted to come to the surface, but she let her because she acted biased when things to our mate. She didn’t even a damn about the fact whether the person standing in front of her meant something to me.
“Yes.”
“What exactly?”
“His wolf had left when you went away. And then _______”, She explained what Aunt Emma did and what exactly happened after that. Before I could have handled the things on my own, Ivory took control of my body and punched her in her face throwing her twenty meters away from there.
“Luna,” Stephen growled at me, running toward his mate, protecting her from Ivory’s wrath.
“Step away, Stephen.”, Ivory said, releasing her Alpha aura. Being a Lycan, no Alpha stands a chance against her. I could see that he didn’t want to step away from his mate, but his wolf made him do so. “Now, YOU..” Ivory growled, looking at the betrayer. “Eva was in touch with you this whole time, and you didn’t think that this was informed to share with us.”, She asked angrily.
“I…I thought you wanted to teach him a lesson. And along with that, I was also mad at him for hurting you.”
“Of course, Eva wanted to do that but not for the sake of our mate’s life. What if something would have happened to him? What if his wolf would have returned to him at the right time?”, She asked, and with that, I mentally made a note to take Roman’s class as well.
How could he do something like that to his human?
It was not that we had rejected him. There was always a limit to punishment.
I forcefully took control of my body from Ivory before speaking.
“And about the later part, I have always appreciated your concern for me, Diana. But…I don’t see any good reason behind it.”, I said, shaking my head. “You knew that I would come back after knowing this, and maybe because of that situation, everything would have sorted out us earlier than expected. Do you want me to keep away from my mate?” I asked, concluding everything.
“Noooo. I…I didn’t want that. You know me, right?”
“Know you?” I hissed. “I doubt that.”
“Eva! I don’t have any evil intention for you.”, She said, and tears started dwelling in her eyes. She tried to reach near me, but I stepped away from her. “I’m sorry.”, She apologized, but her tears didn’t bother me. Stephen came close to her and consoled her, but I didn’t. I was furious. Furious that I left. Furious that Roman left. Furious that I trusted Diana.
But then she wasn’t like this.
I knew her, and I knew her for years.
‘Do you think that she was in control of that Psycho woman?’ Ivory asked. ‘Or maybe she still is? Remember someone from inside the packhouse had invited those vampires!’, She concluded, but this was just a guess.
I couldn’t blame her as a culprit without proof. After all, there were so many people inside the packhouse back then.
Damn it! Figuring out the real culprit was of work of some detective.
I only had a few clues, and the option of the culprit was in thousands. Immediately my eyes landed on Aunt Emma; she was looking at me before but quickly averted her eyes. Then Mom, Dan always doubts her; could she be the one?
Nora? Dad? Or someone from pack members?
‘Silas.’
No response
‘Silas? Where are you?’
No response again.
“Do anyone has seen Silas?” I asked, looking at everyone, but I narrowed my eyes at Aunt Emma.
“I don’t know anything about him. But yes, I had last seen him going to Nora’s room.”
“And how could you see that?”
“I mean, I know that he went to Nora’s room after knowing about the fact that I had given my black coat to Nora.”, She explained, and I looked at Nora.
“He might have been to Mom after I told him that I had given that black coat to Mom.” I averted my gaze to Mom.
“He went to Diana’s room after that.”
“And he left for the Coven from my room.”, Diana responded. I could smell that everyone was telling the truth, but this truth didn’t feel right.
‘Yes! It looks like someone is trying to fool us.’, Ivory commented. I agreed with her. Someone was lying but in such a way that it was hard to figure out.
Then, I recalled Dad’s line that I couldn’t stop things from happening even though I had the power to control the time. If something was written in anyone’s fate, then it would happen in one way or another until and unless you cheat your own fate.
Immediately I smelt the scent of fresh blood. The blood which I had just drunk, I ran toward my room and found a lady in a black coat throwing Daniel across the room. I ran to hold his body before it hit with something hard.
“Daniel.”, I cried in horror seeing him soaking in his own blood. I lifted my head; that lady was gone. But I could smell the scent of Silas along with her. “Dan… Dan…”,
“Angel…”, He tried to speak with difficulty. Soon, his family members walked into our room.
“How is this possible? You’re a trained werewolf.”, I sobbed, seeing him in this state.
“That woman… she…” his breath became heavier with every passing second. “… looks like y.. ou.”, He fell unconscious after saying this.
“Daniel…” I screamed loudly. “Someone mind link the doctor, please!” I screamed again at everyone.
‘Is this why he let his guard down?’ Ivory asked in a worry. ‘How can someone look like you? Do you have a twins sister?’
